As much as I love watching the ghostbusters, I keep getting annoyed every time I hear Janine's new voice. Her original voice and look is what made her cool. Oh well. Guess I will get used to it sometime. >.>
They Should Had Did A Epiosde when Gozer, Boogaloo, Boogieman Ghostmaster, Grundle, Samhain And Sandman Join Forces To Take Over New York And Destroy The Ghostbusters That Would Be Asome Would You Areeg If You Do Repond
I assume the person voicing Janine in this voiced one of the rugrats babies later on. It's not fitting, she needs to be the sarcastic, apathetic adult voiced person she always was.
I really feel like I've missed out on something special. I wasn't into this show when Lorenzo was doing the voice of Peter, and so Coulier was the Peter I grew up with. I am inclined to agree that Lorenzo was a better Peter, but it's still strange to me sometimes, Coulier has a different style of delivery of the lines and when I hear Lorenzo do them, something doesn't set right, but that' probably because I only ever heard Coulier do them. But still, this cartoon kicked ass then and still does.
@blinkdog186 I actually prefer Dave's voice to Lorenzo's. When Dave Coulier voices Peter I think of Bill Murray. When Lorenzo Music voiced Peter, I think of Garfield, a totally different character. A lot of people are just missing the point. I feel like I'm in the minority for prefferring Dave's voice.
I really miss Janine's old voice and Peter's voice, the new ones really sucks doesn't sound the same like it used too. And Slimer talks even more this time. Which he even stops slimming Peter too.
@Predaking4ever I think Coulier was the next best thing, even though Lorenzo was the king...I just can't imagine anyone *else* doing it besides Lorenzo or Coulier, which is why I said that....
I think what made cartoons from the 80s fail is when they tried to throw in 'kids' as mascots for the main characters, it ends up making the shows seem more like a kids theme then something older viewers could enjoy.
@kimahri45k but I liked it the way it was! Even as a kid!! And because it was more 'mature' it was easy to grow with the show...when the kids entered is when I started to lose interest...it just seemed to contrived...
@kimahri45k I think changing Peter's voice actor and making him more friendly towards Slimer also had something to do with the decline of the quality of the show
As a kid, I always found the tie up scene very scary but also strangely erotic; giving into submission against your will, especially to a woman like her was very exciting. Am I the only one who felt that while watching this? I get the feeling I am. Great scene either way.
The boogeyman wasnt ever a big thing for me. A lot of that had to do with Boogeymans standard Frank Welker voice, which was just Megatron with a rasp.
I could just sit back and listen to Samhain all day. The best villian's voice ever.

and Sam Hain would return again in an issue of the comics

The animation got better that season, but the loss of some of the key voice actors (and the annoying addition of the Jr. GB's) was a sizable setback.

@genestarwindjf80 i totally agree, the new voices and art style are shit, they shouldn't have messed about with something that was so damn perfect!
magicgibbon69 2 years ago
@genestarwindjf80 I agree. Nothing against Coulier, but his voice doesn't match a character like Peter where as Lorenzo was a good match.

Haha bit of a 'Deus Ex Machina' with Slimer giving the kids the power to pass through walls simply by sliming them!

y'know, that slimer trick with coating the kids in slime, you'd think that would have come in handy about a thousand times by now
ForkBunny 3 years ago
that was because the fortress wall was designed for ghosts only, so slimer can do that...otherwise i think it may not work...
drbuddha 2 years ago 2
I'm surprised that Samhain didn't remember Slimer. Being in the containment unit must have affected his memory.

For Ghostbusters, there were really only 2 villians. Samhaine, and everything else. ;)

How about "Cathulhu" or should I say Cthulhu? If it wasn't for that Professor who knew the incantations, they would've been toast-or Cthulhu chow. :P

Actually she only came in handy against the Shagga. Real credit goes to Ray for the idea with the comic book.

I really liked this episode. Sam Hain is one of the very, VERY few ghosts who came back. Plus, the animation isn't so bad.

executive in suit: ive got it, let's give slimer a tail and make him more turd like, then progressively gear the show towards younger audiences.
