really? thats the only way. also, i put megaman x5 .bin and .cue on there n it was just sitting there for 2 mins so i turned it off thinking it froze. when i put the sd card on my computer, it had to new "memory card" files on the PSXISOS folder. was i suppose to wait?

As mentioned several times, this particular video was made on the 1st generation (first edition) of this application. I don't know of any "save state" option. Your only save option may be the IN-GAME saves.

there are no config settings for that.

As mentioned many times, this is the FIRST generation of this application. I am not aware of any other versions from this one which may have 'upgraded' to remove the F.P.S.

There is a compatability list out there somewhere. Regretfully (as has been mentioned already), this emulator didn't hit popular demand. There were no real strong updates (as far as I know). All PSX games I tried to convert didn't work (though I prolly just didn't do it correctly).

No, there are other games which work. You may need to convert them to an IMG file to work. I have not put a lot of emphasis in getting some games to work. There is a compatibility list.

I've been trying to be able to play Castlevania SOTN again for 3 years now, and every time i'm almost there, something happens.

With the Wiisx, the game runs, but when i get to the "Press Start Button" screen, it doesn't respond to anything i do.

The PSX on Wii project (as far as I know) didn't get a huge following. Thus newer versions haven't been made (if they have...they didn't get much promotion) and thus the versions we have now are not "tip top" reliable.

You may need to convert them yourself (I haven't hunted any ROMs down). Look up a program called IMAGE BURN. It can convert the EBOOT files (PSX games played on PSP) to IMG files.

To my deep regret...the hype of PS1 on the Wii didn't hit nearly as hard as I thought it would. When the emulator came out, I was very excited...but it didn't seem to hit the "wii modding" community as hard as I thought.

Thus I didn't put a lot of emphasis on converting games and testing them out (why work on something that is not in demand). And thus my experience playing games has been severely limited with the emulator. I don't have an answer for you on the cut scenes.

the thing is that .elf is the installer and .dol too so they give u both regarding what homebrew you have. some homebrews use .elf files and others uses the .dol ones.

the .DOL file can go into a folder (call it whatever you want) and put it into the APPS folder. Then start the HOMEBREW CHANNEL and you'll see it there where you can launch it.

technically, unless you do some crazy stuff to the SD card...the Wii wont read anything higher than a 2 gig card. THUS, I recommend a 2 gig card.

the Wii doesn't read anything higher than a 2 gig SD card, without special modifications. I have a 2 gig myself as well as 2x 1 gig SD cards. You can use whatever will do the job.

Depending on your game...some games will prompt an auto-save (like final fantasy). Once you've saved...you may be able to re-boot up the next disc.
