  • I have this test tomorrow... I was hoping this would help calm my nerves... All it did was make it worse...

  • OMG this is making me nervous as im going to do this test soon :(

  • Can this happen at any age? cuz I'm 13 and sometimes when I stand up after sitting/lying down for a while then standing up I black out. Today it happened while I was holding a glass cup, I smashed that and a plate on a table next to me and cut myself :(

  • I have one of these coming up on Friday. I'm actually hoping that I do faint during it, since it'll give them a better idea of what's going on. Be nice to at least once faint without being able to hurt myself, with people that know how to handle it.

  • @77jbblack Most people probly do faint..

Or it probly makes your heart do that sudden I guess you could say seconds burst in speed or slow that grasps everybodies attention.

  • holly crap..so ive no chance of surviving this without fainting..

  • well. I'm terrified. This should be fun :/

  • i had to do this test :D and i now have to take midodrine to increase my blood pressure

  • Great....I cannot wait for them to make me faint for the first time in my life next week o_O

  • Why is this even necessary?

I cannot wait to faint this afternoon.. >__<

  • I have to have this test on Monday after watching this video I'm more comfortable about the "procedure" wish me luck

  • @CSEN10R so howd it go? :D

  • Is it possible for a HEALTHY person to faint after being injected with that drug???

  • shit, i can't wait to take it now.

  • If a normal person go for this test, will the person faint???

  • @bulbasaurhamster no, because someone with normal blood flow and and normal heart rate is able to stand for an hour without fainting.... the people who have to take this test, their hearts are not working properly and the blood flow is not going everywhere it needs to.

  • vid dont work

  • Honestly the worst part of the test is the IV. With mine I wasn't fainting so they put a fluid in me that cause adrenaline and my heart rate got to 198 and i fainted. This didn't occur though till 40 mins in. The whole time my heart rate kept going up but till the 40 mins i didn't faint. Then you wake up and with me they sent me to a room and let me recover and i wasn't allowed to leave the hospital for 2 hours.

  • no they wont i just took this test on wednesday morning it took me 8 minutes to faint it was a pain and it hurt

  • hope therees a tv in my room

  • now I'm scared lmao

  • Medical barbarism, more suited to the 19th century.

  • when i do physical activity for 5-10 minutes i get butterflies in my stomach, then a feeling of panic, a racing pulse and weaknes/ faintness, i will pass out if i keep working and dont sit down. can anyone tell me if these symptoms are typical of POTS ?????

  • @OneManWolfPak Could be a heart condition known as Hypertropic Cardiomyopathy....you should get a physical exam done you could have it. Do you have any family history of similar problems? On a less serious note it could just be what we call neurogenic syncope .....try not to get overstressed.

  • @freelowper7 ...turns out its anxiety, if i get stressed i get seriously fucked up (to be blunt) i cant even go from sitting to standing without dropping like a bag of hammers! i quit my job, sold my truck, left my girlfriend and went back to school...my stress is gone and im normal again. to think i could have gone on pills and found this out years down the road when it was too late

  • @OneManWolfPak i have a anxiet program thatwill help if you think you may need it pm andi will send it free,

  • i'm 14 and have to get this done :S. i get all bleh when i cant move, and get aggravated D: i'm going in a hour.

  • i think i have this i went to the doc because i was fainting they said i wasn't eating right i wasn't but i am now and it still happens it happens when i am laying or sitting down for a long time then i stand up i feel dizzy i get tunnel vision and i fall and i get up a second later and don't know where i am and what happened only for a second though

  • @xjunya15 sounds like orthostatic hypotension.....you are dehydrated...DRINK MORE WATER!!!!

  • Don't be scared of the test, it's good as they can find out what causes you to faint. I didn't know before that the aim of the test was to make you faint.

I had mine and I lasted... 5 minutes in the standing position. Which explains a lot of my fainting. I have Syncope and very low blood pressure. I am awaiting a follow up appointment as I have had to log when I feint and what could be the cause/s.

  • i took this test yesterday and it was positive. it took me 19 minutes to faint. It wasn't so bad. i was standing up for all the ninenteen minutes. my heart started racing and i felt faint- and then i was out. i woke up after about twenty seconds and i was laying flat, and felt soo much better! my blood pressure went down to 66/33 and my heart rate to 32.

now i'm on a light steroid to help with fainting.

Being scared going into it is worse than the actual test.

  • i have one next week i really hopethey fined out whats wrong with me

  • shit man, i need to survive for an hour tmr....

  • This video is funny! They will not stop the test untill you faint! really? thats awful!

  • @ILUVHORSES1981 well thats the point of the test. its a test to tell if you have syncope and if you know what syncope is you would understand why this needs to happen. look iit up

  • @ILUVHORSES1981 hahahaha

  • Awaiting a diagnosis after taking the tilt table test, i was put from flat lying position straight to the almost vertical position and fainted after 8 minutes, my blood pressure was 55 but instead of my heart rate increasing as my blood pressure dropped my pulse dropped to 37 BPM and stayed there for almost 2 minutes.

  • we do this at work

  • me and a friend of mine both have the exsact same health problems exsept his are dignosed. Me and him became friends after I told him abou my problems. I know it may seem like BS but we litterly have the exsact same problems. and mine have been scareing me lately along with what happend to him recently. he was put onto a tilt table test and his heart stoped. this has scared me shitless since then I dont know what to do.

  • Depends on what they are looking for and why they are having it done...I failed, in under 5 minutes without their "required meds" administered to make my "pass out". dubbing me UC's best-worst patient. I had a dystonic reaction lasting over 45 minutes-numb from the neck down-heart rate fell below 30l-blood pressure-non-existent-flatlined.My team of cardiologists stepped out expecting it would take longer. The goal is to fail-brings you one step closer to resolution! Good Luck!

  • @MBachochin well this is reassuring...now im really scared lol
