It is useful for people who want to go into the 3rd, 4th series of Ashtanga, to rpotect their knees from injury. For dislocated or injured knees I would also recommend entirely different asanas.
this is how i dislocated a knee after 10 years of yoga. don't do the kneed thing. does it look natural? no, because it is not . that guy is tearing up his knees. hello.
