Very interesting idea that the story of the garden of eden seems to be the way ancient man dealt mythologically with the end of the hunting and gathering stage. Very simple and almost obvious and yet extremely insightful. Thanks for uploading.
I think -to follow slavoj zizek- the main question will be: Is Fukuyama right or not?
Fukuyama predicted the end of men with the fall of communism and called the liberal democracy the ultimate stage of human kind & politics.
Is the liberal parlamential democracy really the best or at least the least bad political system for mankind? If not you may follow marx and say mankind has just begun.

I totally agree with this need for hunting and gathering. I think this is instilled into our genetics and we NEED it in the same way we strive to understand, to seek shelter, and change. its as necessary as alpha males and female caretaking. If we cannot, it may be the source of depression and a feeling of lacking. It may also cause disease. we are lacking an action that we are meant to live as humans.
just like in BSG.human create new life form as our slaves.slaves turns against us.then the the two species join forces to achive greatness.or kill eachother.
Who is 'we'? I don't want to control anyone, and I suspect nor do you? You are confusing bourgeois ideology with that of the working class real interests.
@mauvewolf The "want to control and enslave those beneith us" statement is a very fucking scary potential reality of the future. I dont even like to read it. But id rather be dead.
guesses should not be presented has facts, and true humility does not sound like you do. maybe you should pay more attention on what is around you specialy in the himalayas
DK0526, college isn't the answer to everything, it just means more competition. And not all civilizations are as advanced as what you and I experience every day. There are some extremely poor people out there.
Kings and Queens 500 years ago had no real medicine (leeches..blood letting? They were lucky to live to 30. They had head lice, and all sorts of disease...no refridgeration, travel by horse...no plumbing or clean water...even the poorest in America live like royalty by comparision..were will we be in 100 years???
Only if shoe licking represents currency and material power! Other wise even the poorest in America have 100's of times more then even kings and queens...We are spoiled and do not realize this and the lack of realization is the real source of discontent...that and greed and envy of those who presently have more. There is grants for the poor to get into colleges and earn six figures, and if the choose not to work then the have the system to take care of them...What did the peasants have?
Yes kings propotionatly owned much more then peasants yet they owned relatively little to what todays poor now have access to. To be more accurate, Currency is simply reciepts for labor that has been done to complete a service or product. Money is just paper its the stored labor that gives it its power and why a billion dollars in zimbawa won't buy you a loaf of bread. It means little to own almost everything when there isn't much unless your a dick-ta-tor who enjoys having your shoes licked!
"Transhumanism", as I believe it is called, is a movement that seeks to improve human species. They hope for somehting similar to what you call "homo artificialis", only they call it a "posthuman". My prediction is that great ethical systems derived from the Axial Age will prevent that from happening. After all, transhumanism does resemble eugenics, and this already failed.
Has eugenics really failed? Hitlers inhumane version failed but aren't we all practicing transhumanists? We have increased our life spans 3 fold, We have much more knowledge and much more powerful computers, we have cosmetics, weight training and cosmetic surgery. We want to send our children to the best colleges...we want all that modern medicine offers in health. And we are wealthier then most kings and queens 500+ years ago..
Eugenics operated on the principle that those who are unfit should be destroyed. Transhumanism argues that the unfit can be improved ;]So there is a difference.
So what happened to the Neanderthals? I heard that most of the Europeans have Neanderthal blood in them.

what we "want" for our evolution isn't necessarily the same as what we "need" for our evolution
what we generally want is power and to control those beneath us. implanted chips would help there in reward and punishment system for our slaves..
what we need for our evolution is probably quite different.. probably furthered through cooperation and humility
