How powerful is that ending!! When Mike and crew hit that last note, man, the walls are coming down baby!!! I hope to see these guys live someday. ROCK ON BROTHERS!!
the beatles were mike's first major influence. this is his tribute to his first drum hero, ringo. very tastfully done btw. we all know he could of easily gone overboard. neal morse vocals sould just like lennon!
(IMOP) Mike Portnoy is probably my biggest drumming inspiration, and Avenged Sevenfold is my favorite band.. and when I listen to Nightmare, then this song, I just wanna say.. what happened? Like I'm not saying "Portnoy's retarded for doing something like this" but I just feel his drumming powers aren't being put to great use with these guys.. I hope he's able to perform at his highest sooner than later :D
@FR0ZENP0NDproduction Something like this has so much more taste than anything Avenged Sevenfold have even thought about doing. Avenged Sevenfold is a piece of shit band with no talent whatsoever, I couldn't believe Portnoy left DT to play with such a shitty band. In other news, this is a sweet cover!
@obalobaloo You're being too harsh on Avenged Sevenfold, imo. I'm not a very big fan of them but even I can tell they have some great talent in their group (not the least of which the late Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan). It just so happens that they're a step down from some other great metal bands.

@FR0ZENP0NDproduction if you think a little
portnoy doesn't have to show his inhuman powers all the time
he loved to do this thing, and it was other kind of music
if you think metal is the only great music style.... no
and... if you live a7x because they are the most "hard, evil, dark, metal and/or great musicians"... you're doing it wrong
(not saying they suck, but still far from "the best"...)

Wow in Mr. Portnoy, the Ringo connection is clear.
Neal Morse (vocals, keys) is probably the best all around musician out there today, and a MONSTER guitar player and composer in his own right.
