African Americans/Blacks do work construction in Houston as well as many other Texas cities and towns. Unfortunately, the construction and landscape industries consist of very hard work, low pay and in most cases for some workers. . . no benefits. . .

Now-a-day. . . at least before the housing bust whites and some blacks were running, supervising and or in a lead position in these concrete companies, at least that's how it is in my neck of the woods. States like Tx., Ariz., Ca etc. have larger Hispanic. . .

@kambridge967 the people that my husband hire work in the field picking all kind of fruit and vegetables. no body wants to work in the damn hot, especiallly those who born in this country black, white, yellows, green, and red all damn colors and races, their all want the fucken easy jobs. Since i came to this country i have never work i met my husband in my country Mexico and i told him if he was marring me cause he need a maid to forget about. he cooks for me and feeds me.
