I saw her in concert a few years ago. She looks even more exquisite in person and has the skin of a porcelain doll. Her rendition of "Not a Day Goes By" was gorgeous and haunting.

@PhillyC187 Peters is a very accomplished actress and can sing and act annie get your gun sunday and song and dance but she isn't as interesting as zeta jones. But having said that peters is such a good actress she did gypsy and that is so hard role to do how people hated her I don't know.

She was so funny in this scene. So wonderful in this show. Seeing Bernadette Peters and Elaine Stritch in A Little Night Music was one of my all-time favorite Broadway experiences.

saw this last night. 2 songs ( you must meet my wife, and send in the clowns) and an enchanting performance in between and she brought the house down. i wish i could be there tomorrow for the closing. the theater was shaking friday evening. why doesn't the show end with her solo of " send in the clowns". everything aftet that is such a let down. it's like " oklahoma" which continues past the title song stops the show. can peters win a tony for this? she should have gotten one for

"gypsy"

The show closes January 9th :( I pray to God they get the funding to tape the show. A Classic Sondheim musical with 2 of his favorite leading ladies deserves to be preserved for future generations of theatre lovers. I saw the show with Angela Lansbury and CZJ. It was good....but people tell me Stritch and Peters have breathed new life into it and made it a new, better show

@sondheimisGAWD They cast CZJ because she auditioned and she was great. Bernadette did not audition. They worked with what they had at the time, and what they had (CZJ) was awesome. Now they have the marvelous Bernadette Peters!! Both women were and are phenomenal in the role of Desiree.
