i havent had any trouble at all, and i made the swith to e85 and am now making 358/400. I do have an oem style clutch and a lightened flywheel, i think that is what has saved it so far.
@afgandominator E85 is an ethanol fuel that is produced from corn... water/alc injection is a separate tank of either water, alcohol, or a blend of the two that is set to inject at a certain point to allow for more power while greatly reducing knock. PPG is a straight cut gearset that will provide for a stronger transmission, but youd be better off doing an sti 6 speed swap imo
wait, 314/340? that's more than I've ever seen, must be a very aggressive tune. Were you using race gas in addition to the meth? And what type of dyno?
Even if those numbers are off I can imagine it's still fast as heck for a 2.0l.
yep, 314/340 with meth. its a dynojet dyno. a/f's are right around 11.1 / 10.9. EGT's never get above 1600. That was just on pump gas with meth. the above video was just pump gas for 300/317.
Its a pretty fast car, ran the quarter mile at 3500 ft altitude(5500 da) in 12.93 @ 106. that was with a 1.9x 60 foot. Yes, its the stock tranny

i have a bugeye also and i was going to do a similar vf39 setup but i am scared about the tranny being to weak...have you had any trouble with it?
