  • I didn't know Vince Russo has 192 thumbs...

  • Thanks Jim!

  • ROH Rocks

  • I like WWE, TNA & ROH. If you were a real wrestling fan you'd all stop bitching about which company sucks. Good god I hate marks...

  • @MegaChairmanMao You are mentally stupid!

  • I love the way ROH book their champions, it makes sense & they have pride & prestige in ALL their titles, best of all it's Professional Wrestling & not Sports Entertainment.

  • TNA is better.

  • He sold Ring of Honor really well can anyone tell me why it's got so many dislikes?

  • @Jonoridge alot of their fans are die-hards and they always have to bitch and complain about something.

  • @Jonoridge Trolls and haters who have nothing better to do. Whenever a new video is posted by ringofhonor, it has about 100 dislikes 30 minutes later no matter what happens in the vid. I guess it's also less guys than the actual dislikes. It's too suspicious how fast those dislikes follow the posting of the video and how regular it's done. 1or 2 years ago they used another method to troll the videos. They marked every single comment to every video as spam. Pathetic if you ask me.

  • Good man, Jim. What a talker.

  • rohbots -_-

  • I was wondering how long it would take him to mention his knee's!

  • 192 Prefer TNA

  • is roh ever going to be on national television?

  • 191 people prefer Dairy Queen

  • ROH = Best WRESTLING Company

  • @fitzgerald434 If you enjoy main events with 100 kickouts of finishers.... I like the ROH idea, but when people kick out of every finisher it's a bit crap

  • @TheStevieHWWE Bit of a stupid reason not to like it though, it only takes on punch or kick in reality to put someone out anyhow so if you gona be fake might aswell take it to the extream.

  • @TheStevieHWWE But that's a bit lame as an argument agains just ROH. If at all you could use that argument against wrestling in general nowadays because that stuff started in 2001 already when Rock and Austin kicked out of a shitload of finishers in their matches against each other. And it has been a staple since then, to kick out of multiple finishers to heighten the suspense of the match. That can be done right, but it can of course go wrong and damage the move's credibility.

  • Cornette's the man

  • Lady, you have no fucking idea

  • Please CW11 or Joe TV Channel 10 get Ring Of Honor Wrestling so i could see some REAL WRESTLING!!!!!!!!

  • @Haurko01 you could always just watch it online. haha.

  • "Dear god.." XD

  • It's interesting how TNA wrestlers stopped wrestling after Cornette left TNA. Vince Russo can't write a good script or book a good match, it doesn't matter if Hogan's in TNA or not. Shitty booking turns even Hogan and Sting to crap.

  • I should get into Ring of Honor more often, but I wish I have Sinclair broadcasting in the Bay Area. I used to like TNA before Terry and Eric came in 2010, but to be honest, I like both TNA (mostly the old stuff) and Ring of Honor, but I like Ring of Honor more better than the current TNA.

  • "Unique personalities", LOOOL... Because Edwards, Intensity and Strong are such a colorful characters...

  • ROH needs to be much faster with their DVD releases.

  • MY GOD HES GOING GREY!!!

  • Jim speaks the truth!!! PRAISE JIM!!!

  • CMY, as ruthless and money hungry as Vince is, I am willing to bet he would give up everything to have Chris and Eddie main invent instead of or along side JBL and Orton. The amount he spends on treatment of former stars like Tomco and the Hardys reflects that. When was the less time you seen an unprotected head shot on wwe? That's not for the sake of PG, but all the RIP.

  • Who would have though that any RoH Worker would be in a news show lol

  • ROH Is the Best Wrestling Around Bar None!!!

  • why are there so many dislikes? I thought this interview was fine...

  • how can he say to much talking when he was in the talking era boooooooooooooo

  • What a sleazy piece of shit. Newsflash: you are ONE of those old fossils. Get off TV and go back home to your musty basement. You never drew a dime for anyone and you never will.

  • @ryandibiase you obviously dont know what your talking about

  • @Brentgar2 Most ROH haters are like that. I've come across plenty of them myself. It's actually fun to counter what they say and make them look like idiots who are only pulling crap out of their ass to try and belittle the company.

These bashers who support TNA and WWE over ROH, usually means they support Vince Russo and John Laurinaitis over Jim Cornette.

That pretty much sums up how much they understand about pro wrestling.

  • @ryandibiase Are you deaf or just stupid? He is not in the ring anymore, he said that right from the start. You're saying he is sleazy because he is promoting the company he is paying for? The nerve!!!

He did a great job in getting the company over and highlighting the difference between them and the competition. I will agree that ROH is not as good as it once was. Their roster is just not as deep as it used to be.

  • Cornette could sell anything. Luckily, he teamed up with a first rate promotion.

  • Can someone xplain to me why peole are hating so much on ROH?

  • pro wrestling has had a bad reputation for the last few years? how about since the dawn of mankind?

  • THUMBS UP IF JIM CORNETTE AND HIS BAND OF BORING WRESTLERS LIKE SHELTON BENJAMIN & CHARLIE HAAS "WWE'S TABLE SCRAPS" SHOULD BE FIRED...OUT OF A CANNON!

  • @NightlifeSux just because theyre shit on the mic and never amounted to anything in the 'E doesnt make them bad rasslers.

  • @evilgenes literally NONE of their matches in roh have been ANY good compared to other roh tag teams like starrcade 89 briscoes kow etc etc

theyre boring and suck and are whats killing the roh product along with cornettes boring 80s style booking, roderick strong, eddie "eddie edwards" edwards and davey richards

  • @NightlifeSux Two guys, TNA is worse, you fucking fanboy.

  • @DrFirstaidmonkeyz if you had said that before final battle 2009 i would have agreed with you but roh is so absolutely atrocious from the boring undercard to the ridiculously overrated spot monkeys in the main event it makes tna (which is a bad promotion with a consistently awful tv show) look good by comparison

i like how you automatically assume that just because i hate roh i love tna great jumping to conclusions there bro

  • @NightlifeSux I'm not so sure about post-Final '09 ROH being worse than TNA. You seen Final Battle 2010? Or Manhattan Mayhem IV? Or Best In The World 2011?

In the meantime, there's Jeff Hardy in TNA showing up at Victory Road intoxicated. Or bisexual Orlando Jordan. Or retard-due-to-brain-damage- Eric Young. Or a horrible Knockouts match. Or a 3-hour TNA show with 8 minutes of wrestling.

I actually used to like TNA before Russo came along, even with Jarrett hogging the spotlight.

  • @CMY187 eric young kicks ass so you clearly dont know what your talking about and every roh show with davey richards/eddie "eddie edwards" edwards/roderick strong in the main event sucks ass

  • @NightlifeSux I've SEEN Eric's gimmick in TNA. He deserves better than that. He's a very skilled wrestler, but as any wrestling fan knows, Vince Russo dosen't know anything about utilizing that, and Hogan just dosen't care. Making Eric act like the Great Muta is NOT an improvement.

Apparently, you haven't seen Strong vs Richards at Final Battle 2010, Strong vs Edwards at Manhattan Mayhem IV, or Edwards vs Richards at Best In The World 2011. Of all the three ROH wrestlers to bash, you pick them.

  • @CMY187 all of those wrestlers you listed suck ass have no personality and dont know how to build up any sort of drama in a match

  • @NightlifeSux No personality, no drama...you're a Hulk Hogan fan, are you?

  • @CMY187 so you admit that none of rohs main event trio have personality nor can they establish any drama in a match which proves to me that you just like cool moves with no rhyme or reason and its rohs catering to fans like you that guarantees they will never have any mainstream appeal

  • @NightlifeSux No, I didn't admit that. While I like seeing psychology, since I'm watching 1990s AJPW right now, I appreciate the fact that they can give exciting matches at least. You want psychology? Watch Strong vs Danielson at Supercard of Honor 2006. And no personality, other than the incredible emotion shown in the aftermath of the BITW main event? And I HOPE that Strong, Edwards and Richards don't appeal to the mainstream, since all WWE seems to care about is pretty faces and big muscles.

  • @CMY187 of course there was psychology in strong/danielson because it was a fucking bryan danielson match

that wasnt incredible emotion it was incredible boredom

also thanks for actively wanting roh to not ever make it to the mainstream thus ensuring that these guys you supposedly love will never be able to make wrestling their only job you are whats killing wrestling

  • @NightlifeSux Ah, someone who dosen't appreciate Bryan Danielson. You don't respect anyone who's ever been in ROH, simply because they were in ROH.

By the way, once again, like a typical TNA fan, you ignore what I said about WWE and TNA. While I'll be happy for the three I mentioned if they make it to a bigger TV platform and paycheck, at the same time I fear that Vince Mcmahon's empire will abuse them the same way it did to guys like James Gibson.

I'M killing wrestling? Go ask Vince Russo.

  • @CMY187 did you read my comment properly because i actually praised bryan danielson

and ive stated already that im not a tna fan youre just jumping to conclusions because someone who hates roh must love tna according to you

i respect chris hero and claudio castagnoli and tyler black and austin aries and many more and they were in roh so whoops youve jumped to conclusions again

i ignored your comment about wwe because it was retarded

  • @NightlifeSux Fine, my mistake. I've been running into too many mainstream-only fans who are usually complete douchebags, so I hope you'd forgive my behavior. I've met plenty of TNA-only fans who fail to notice that their company is full of ROH guys.

BUT...what I said about WWE badly handling James Gibson and it valuing "comestically pleasing" people and huge muscles over wrestling skill isn't retarded. Just take a casual look at WWE and you'll see overwhelming evidence of that.

  • @CMY187 ok im going to take a casual look at wwe

    world heavyweight champion: daniel bryan

    wwe champion: cm punk

    yeah your statement was retarded

  • @NightlifeSux You have faith in WWE?

While I'm glad for those two that they're at the top of the company now, I have no doubt, repeat, no doubt, that WWE will drop the ball like it has done so many times before.

Remember when Benoit and Guerrero were at the top? They were replaced by Orton and Layfield.

Let's wait and see who's wrong. Let WWE decide for us whose statement was retarded.

  • @CMY187 i didnt say i had faith in wwe

  • Comment removed

  • @CMY187 "I've met plenty of TNA-only fans who fail to notice that their company is full of ROH guys." the only wrestlers who were established in roh before going to tna and are currently on the roster are the machine guns, aries, samoa joe and maybe daniels so stop talking out of your ass.also judging by your out-dated bashing of tna,it seems like you haven't even watched the current product.

  • Add Styles, Williams and Kendrick to the list.

While TNA at least has increased the amount of wrestling on their shows (not much of an effort considering that a 3-hr show they had contained 8 minutes of wrestling) since the Des X ppv, the matches are STILL overbooked, especially the endings, plus overrated guys like Morgan, Crimson and Jeff Hardy are still being pushed over guys like the MCMG and Joe. Even though Russo's not the Head Booker now, if the cancer's still around, it'll cause damage.

  • @CMY187 no,i won't add these guys to the list.kendrick didnt wrestle enough in roh and wasnt established in roh.williams is a 20-year veteran and had been wrestling all over the world way before going to roh.and styles, really?just cause he debuted in roh 2-3 months after debuting in tna?everyone knows tna established styles as the phenomenal one.hell, roh was even using his tna theme song.just cause he was in roh 2 months before tna,it doesnt mean anything.roh didnt create these guys.

  • @zontonerwwe9 Don't mean any harm, but actually Kendrick was established in ROH. He was in the very first show, even having an undefeated streak, and also was around for most of 2005.

Doug Williams was in ROH for about two years, debuting at Road To The Title, and even was the ROH Pure Champion at one point.

Styles was Cena-pushed, both in ROH AND in TNA. He's one heck of a great wrestler, but come on, that many wins and title reigns? Really?

I've told you already what I know of AJ via PM.

  • @CMY187 just because kendrick was on their first show doesnt mean he was established there.he didnt wrestle enough in roh and was wrestling for several other promotions at the time.maybe doug williams, but again he was wrestling long before going to roh.but still your statement that tna is full of roh guys isnt true at all.its about 6 wrestlers out of the 50.

idk what the booking of aj in roh/tna has to do with where he was established.

  • @zontonerwwe9 I guess my statement was outdated about ROH guys being in TNA, but to me they've always been the most outstanding ones, not Beer Money or goddamn Jarrett or Sting. Joe, Daniels, Styles, Lethal, Strong, Aries, Sabin, Shelley, these guys always seemed to give the most outstanding matches throughout their runs in TNA. Evans and Low Ki weren't in TNA all that much, so I guess I'll leave them out. Homicide's anti-USA storyline was just disgusting. He didn't need to do that to get over.

  • @CMY187 yeah,a lot of these former roh wrestlers have been exciting and have put on great matches but i've enjoyed some other tna talent like kazarian, storm, roode, the pope, magnus, zema ion etc just as much.

  • @CMY187 on rare occasions tna has such little wrestling on the show nowdays.only if its the post-bfg show or something & u're talking about something that happened many months back.

u do need interference in some matches,in order to create feuds& storylines.

why are morgan/crimson overated?theyre solid big man wrestlers who can go for their size & can talk.i hate this smark mentality, that u have to put 5 star matches or flips to get a push.i'll give u hardy though,he doesnt deserve the push

  • @zontonerwwe9 Sent you a reply via PM. TNA fans? I'm fine with that. TNA fans who bash ROH? I fucking loathe them.

I'm glad you're not the latter.

  • @CMY187 hi im davey richards *takes a tombstone and a brainbuster, kicks out and immediately goes back to kicking eddie "eddie edwards" edwards in the head with absolutely no selling of those moves* *kicks my opponent in the head 100 times then instead of applying a head/neck-based submission which would actually make sense i apply an ankle lock* *puts being a midcarder for njpw ahead of representing roh as its top guy at supposedly important ippvs*

  • @NightlifeSux Thanks for ignoring what I said about Eric Young, or me countering what you said about Richards, Edwards and Strong not being great main eventers. You TNA fans are astoundingly good at convieniently ignoring counter-points.

I won't say Richards is the best wrestler in ROH (I actually consider Roderick to be better than him in the ring), but thanks for being so appreciative of his work.

And I support his work in NJPW, as it might lead to collaboration between the company and ROH.

  • @CMY187 Too bad Russo isn't in TNA anymore, & if I'm not mistaken, Hogan is gone as well. I figured an arrogant, know it all, armchair booker like yourself, who enjoys the smell of his own farts would've known that. Also, have you seen TNA lately? I'm not even a TNA fan & it's actually been quite entertaining recently. But you wouldn't know that, being too high on your "I'm a real fan because I watch ROH, which gives me the right to insult others who enjoy other companies" pedestal & all.

  • @TwoHandedSledge I've heard of Russo's demotion and Bischoff being promoted. Lowering a retard and raising a corporate bitch dosen't impress me. If you think that TNA's doing a wonderful job right now, let's ask Samoa Joe how he feels about being used to put over guys like Crimson or Morgan. I don't mind people who watch TNA but I take issue with them belittling ROH when it's TNA that's has many ROH wrestlers.

Oh, and little tip: personal insults don't make you seem like the more mature one.

  • @straightedge891 dude I have no idea what in the hell you are talking about..

    1. Yes, every wrestler comes from an indy fed unless your name is say Randy Orton or Ted DiBiase

    2. The two main champions in the WWE right now are two of the best products to ever come out of ROH

    3. AJ Styles is NOT from WCW, he may have wrestled a couple matches there before they went under, but AJ would tell you I'm sure that some of the best exposure/matches he's ever had was in ROH/PWG/NWA-WS etc

    fact-check bro

  • Shut up internet geeks and marks. Indy wrestling well never amount to anything. Impact wrestling a success, thanks to Dixie Carter and my help. Get real dorks.

  • @pinoyrawr Wow, you call TNA since 2010 a success? By the way, thanks for ignoring the fact that all of TNA's best guys were from ROH: Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels, AJ Styles, Chris Sabin, Alex Shelley, Brian Kendrick, Austin Aries...do I have to go on with the list?

Thanks for your WONDERFUL appreciation for what ROH has done for YOUR company.

Goodbye, Eric Bischoff. Take credit for other people's work.

  • @Wurzelknecht You're kinda off with your history. First, EVERY wrestler comes from Indy breeds. Second, WWE's roster is made of WCW ECW and TNA, what's your point. Third, AJ is from WCW and Daniels has been in mainstream before ROH was made by a pedophile.

  • @straightedge891 "WWE's roster is made of WCW ECW and TNA"

I noticed that you convieniently left out the fact that the most charismatic (CM Punk) and most skilled (Bryan Danielson) two guys currently in WWE, and also currently holding the premier belts, were from a certain company where they honed and perfected their craft before going over to the mainstream...

Oh, and that scandal with the pedophile? Check out the Reborn shows to see how ROH dealt with it.

  • Tna and wwe products are abysmul atm

  • lol even the news was shocked when she heard Hogan still wrestling

  • Cornette has lost some weight....watch out Steen fan mouth breathers!

  • Why are there so many dislikes?

  • @RavenMichaels Kevin Steen fans

  • @RavenMichaels There are mainstream fans (mostly TNA) who hate ROH and are trying to make it look lousy by disliking every youtube upload of it. I like it, however, when they try to bash it here on the comments page. It gives us ROH fans a chance to make them look like idiots.

I actually like that ROH is being pestered like this. Helps attract attention to the company, and it shows that ROH really has made its mark on the wrestling world. You don't see PWG, IWA or DGUSA get this kind of hate.

  • 127 people love funkasaurus and wrestlers in there 60s. 137 people also fail to recognise there beloved companies are filled with ROH wrestlers :D

  • @sasukemoores How much you want to bet that Johnny Ace is going to pull an Eric Bischoff and try to claim credit for the success of Punk and Danielson in WWE by saying that he was the one who first scouted them and saw their potential?

I wish that Kobashi had killed Ace when he was in AJPW. And I thought that there will never be another guy in wrestling as stupid as Vince Russo...

    WWE has John Laurinaitis.

    TNA has Vince Russo.

    ROH has Jim Cornette.

    I say ROH wins.

  • @CMY187 Lol yer it wouldnt surprise me, and the idiots back stage WILL believe him. Its amazing how far that show has dropped, the last raws ratings where something like a 2.7 for gods sake. They had the nerve to blame bad ratings on cm punk LMAO what a joke, cena is in the main event and it does even worse.

  • gotta give the girl credit too. she came off really interested and seemed to enjoy doing the interview

  • @carl0frmdavalley I only wish she could have mentioned Vince Russo...it would have made this interview so much more fun to watch...

  • that is great promotion for ROH

    keep it up!-(let haters die!)

  • @GuruofMetal99 you guys get all the iPPVs & big shows already! don't be selfish!

  • @CMY187 Yeah. They're pretty much just building up future x division champions and FCW guys. Like a developmental company that TNA and WWE share with each other.

  • @CMY187 Wait, The Wrestling Observer? Owned by THE Dave Meltzer?!!!!! Oh I was so wrong. The unappealing Indy company WILL take over as #2. So what if they're MILES from surpassing TNA, or the fact that it has nothing that's really appealing to mainstream fans! The will because THE WRESTLING OBSERVER SAID SO! NOT!!!!!

  • @straightedge891 Ah, thanks for ignoring what I said about TNA being run into the ground. Were you the one holding up the "Scott Hall Rules" sign?

Like I said, TNA had a real, true chance to give us fans our wrestling back. And it failed. Speaking as a former fan of WWE AND TNA, I think that ROH is doing the right thing by taking it slow and building its new guys up rather than rushing to compete with WWE like TNA did. So fine. Don't watch ROH. Go watch Hogan in an hour-long backstage segment.

  • @straightedge891 Mic skills*

  • @ArmourRCW Uh yeah. The good matches but the crappy production, bad interviews, and horrid mic from those who aren't steen or the briscoes, and no big names to give you more publicity and star power? Yeah, THAT'S the future of pro wrestling. Smh this business is in bad shape. What does ROH have that could be so appeal to mainstream fans besides wrestling?

  • @straightedge891 ROH has lost its most outstanding talent over the years so right now, at this time, it cannot consider another awesome age like in 2005-2007. For now, all ROH can do is build up its new generation for the next platform of top stars, like what Jumbo Tsuruta did for Misawa, Kobashi and Kawada.

So, mainstream fans care more about talking and charisma than wrestling itself.

When's the last time you went to a football game and they played 5 mins of football in a 3-hr game?

  • @sasukemoores And your point is.....

  • Comment removed

  • Gotta respect Jim Cornette . . .

  • Jim Cornette is king. He just knows exactly what most people want to see, it's amazing.

  • How does this video have 86 dislikes? Nothing wrong here at all. Cornette is great.

  • Cornette is the man!

  • @SandersRobin24 When does cornette ever not come off great?

  • @amazingjohnnyv Well, if there's on thing about TNA that's better than ring of honor, it's great promos from more than just one guy and a tag team.

  • @straightedge891 Most of the good guys in TNA came from ring of honor.

  • @straightedge891 have u actually seen the program?

& @kyle9965 ... TNA in nonsensical garbage that doesnt make sense with PPV's which have DQ finishes, make u pay for crap then give u a finish on free tv 5 days later!

ROH is the FUTURE OF PRO WRESTLING!

  • @leymj What wrestlemania's were they?

  • @kyle9965 Well here's another reality check. This little Indy company will NEVER surpass TNA by any means. Hope all you want. But it's the pure truth. And 24varner's comment had nothing to do with WWE at all. ROH has NO mainstream appeal.

  • @straightedge891 Never surpassing TNA...I think the Wrestling Observer Newsletter will disagree.

Truth is, TNA had a chance to do what WWE refused to: bring great, athletic wrestling back to pro wrestling fans. While the company had been plagued by Jeff Jarrett's egotistic NWA Title reigns and portraying true wrestlers as a mere mid-card X-Division, it was more-or-less doing great.

Then Vince Russo came along, and Hogan and Bischoff three years later. So much for Total Nonstop Action...

  • I was at this show.It was fantastic.

  • Jim Cornette looks happy. It's weird.

  • roh on fox network! we'll take it!

  • Why isn't roh on in every city/state I can't watch it here in Brooklyn ny I want ROH!!!!!!

  • @Nx5aNiTxT2 Its the people who own the local networks. like sinclair broadcasting owns some networks, while here in queens, brooklyn, etc its owned by newscorp.

  • 02:04 - Lol, wheelchair races!!

  • ROH only airs on Sinclair-owned stations and none of them are in NYC. :(

  • @AllieRX87 OR L.A.

  • I have never seen Jim Cornette so tame. lol

  • It would really be cool if ROH would come to Austin. The TV show just started up here this past Saturday/Sunday. TNA came back in October and drew in 1000+ people so it would be cool to check out some ROH. Dont be like WCW and never tour this far south.

  • Cornette is go(o)d

  • @24varner well how about this for a reality check TNA will NEVER be on WWE's level! wwe's shit @times but tna will always be their bitch XD

  • I have been to 5 ROH shows and I have found them to be the best wrestling shows I have ever been to. i was at 2 wrestlemanians and they did not compare to the ROH shows.

  • I was there pretty good show!!! 410 Forever

  • i said it 8 months ago & i'll say it again,ROH will surpass TNA! been a loyal fan & long time supporter since it was built from the ground up in 2002.

  • @kyle9965 Keep dreaming

  • Return to England! *sniff* Or take the goddamn flag of the belt.

  • 0 dislikes lol

  • Cornette came off great here. Have to give him credit.

  • Jim Cornette is a natural talker. He's a seriously underrated wrestling personality.

  • hulk should watch this and learn how to promote his promotion.

    midget championship wrasstling brother!!

  • Well. Jim finally got what he wanted, for his precious Southern wrasslin' to come back. But at what cost? Losing ROH's uniqueness? Pass.

  • wow, jim cornette did not call vince russo a cock sucker and dixie carter a dumbass on a live tv. he's doing better.

  • screw this indy crap watch impact wrestling on thursday in just two days dont miss it it will be fantastic great matches great promos great everything bobby roode will be fantastic.

  • @pinoyrawr LMFAO! That's the funniest thing I have read in quite sometime, thanks for making me laugh... TNA with great matches and great promos, what a funny joke... lol

  • @pinoyrawr whats stopping you from watching both? its not like they're on the same day or anything. i would imagine wrestling fans would want to have more wrestling out there in the world to watch. i never understood why anyone would think like that.

  • @pinoyrawr you know that the only watchable guys on WCW..erm I mean TNA came from this "indy crap" do you ;)

  • @Wurzelknecht robert roode didnt

  • @thatrkid15 Yeah, I give them Roode and Storm, but most other guys in TNA are either WWE, WCW, ECW or ROH. It's no big secret that the thing which made TNA different and enjoyable in it's first few years weren't the lame main event guys like Jarrett, but the X-division guys like Styles, Daniels or Low Ki who were all ROH & other indy breeds. It's just maddening when TNA-fans bash indy wrestling when they're watching a programm that was put on the map by indy stars.

  • @Wurzelknecht Just like the mainstream fans convieniently ignore the "wrestling ability" question and talk about drawing money, ratings and TV exposure, so do the TNA fans convieniently ignore the fact that the most exciting guys in their company were all from ROH. Really shows how intelligent and insightful they are when they come to these ROH videos and say that ROH will never make it to TNA's level.

I agree with them: ROH will never hit rock bottom as fast as TNA did in 2010.

  • @pinoyrawr Nice try, Eric Bischoff. You done preparing for the horrible Knockouts matches and segments and helping Hulk Hogan prepare for his 1-hour long backstage segment?

And in case you mention Austin Aries...he too was from ROH, and at his very best when he was there. The arrogant persona he portrays in TNA, he perfected in ROH.

So yeah, screw this indy crap...even though it was the company that provided the one YOU support with all its best talent anyway.

  • While I don't whole-heartedly agree with Cornette having such a large role when it comes to booking the shows, he's great for stuff like this. That right there is how you promote your company and get people hooked.

  • I love Jim cornett he has always been awesome

  • she should ask him how does feel slapping the hell out of Santino Marella

  • Very good interview from Cornette, put ROH over brilliantly they are very lucky to have him. I can´t think of anyone else who´s in ROH who could give such a professional media friendly interview

  • Jimmy put over the product great! This is how you promote your company! (Hulk Hogan >.>)

  • @ChrisRKO32 Judging by your Youtube name, I would say you think WWE is better than ROH. WRONG SIR!!!

  • This isnt Jim Cornette, not one single shoot against Vince Russo!

  • @MarioMetroidFan but he did knock "the old guys" so thats good enough

  • @MarioMetroidFan Your comment made my day

  • @MarioMetroidFan @PureDynamiteKid This isn't a wrestling show, this is the news. Cornette is trying to bring class to ROH.

  • @MarioMetroidFan Yeah, but he did get close to a shoot on Hulk Hogan.

  • I like ROH but Cornette has a fetish for young men sheshhh. In pro-wrestling most hit their prime in their 30's. Yes most should hang it up by the time they hit their 40's but talent isn't bound to age souly. Look at a guy like Christopher Daniels. yeah TNA has no idea what to do with him but he can still pull out great matches and he's 40.

  • @jmg3116 Of course you'll have exceptions, but in general most guys retire once they hit their 40s. Just think about baseball, football, basketball, and other sports. Most guys are indeed in their prime from about 27-33, but once they start to hit 40 many of them just aren't that good anymore and it's time to call it quits. Even though wrestling isn't technically a sport, it should be treated as such so that it doesn't insult the fans' intelligence and expose itself as being "fake" or worked.

  • @Trademark629 Stallone makes movies, Arnold might be making movies. If you can wrestle and make it believable at an older age then good for you. However there are many who just look horrible, Sting, Nash, and Hogan to name a few

  • @voteforcanman I don't agree with the movie comparison, but I do agree with the next statement you made. As long as you can still go in the ring then by all means keep at it. HBK, Angle, Daniels, and others proved when they hit 40 they could still athletically keep up with everyone else on the roster.

  • @Trademark629 Jumbo Tsuruta is the very best example of a guy who could still go despite the years catching up to him.

  • @jmg3116 I'm with Cornette on this. I don't say people like Daniels or Lynn who can still go at their age should quit but it's more about guys who have big names but are already WAY past their prime but still keep the younger guys beneath them. That's what annoys Cornette: The failure of many of the old generation to bring the new guys over properly.

  • @jmg3116 At least Cornette dosen't have a strong interest in promoting big-muscled men irregardless of whether they could actually wrestle or not...oh, wait. I think there's another promoter who's like that...Mcmahon, was that his name?...

  • @CMY187 Yeah because it's cool to pull a Verne Gagne and ignore mass appeal over talent. If the next Hogan came down the pipeline and was insanely over you'd have to be a fool not to sign them. Now are there big men with no skill or appeal who get needlessly pushed? Yes but if you think Dynamite Kid awesome as he was could've been big as Hulk Hogan you're wrong.

  • @Westcoastmost90 Ah, a Hulkamaniac. That's all I need to know. So, once again, like all the others, you ignore the matter of wrestling skill, one that as a WRESTLING fan you should consider important, and rate guys based on how much they were pushed, how many shows they highlighted and how much money they made. This mean you're a fan of Kevin Nash too?

You could have picked any heavyweight from AJPW in the 90s as an example, but no, you pick Hogan. Posing, punches and Leg Drops...that's it?

  • @CMY187 Well if your done making a buffoon of yourself let me state nothing in my post said I was a hulkamaniac. And how sad the IWC has gotten when even the mention of Hogan flares such blind hate. Even Cornette himself has said Hogan was the 3rd best draw to ever grace the ring. Your post makes you out to be a snob that wants wrestling to be MMA and forgets what drawing money actually means. Given how you want pure wrestling you should watch Olympic wrestling only from this moment on.

  • @Westcoastmost90 Alright, that's fair. At least glad to know you aren't a Hogan worshipper. By the way, Cornette had also said that while Hogan is a household name, so is garbage, and it stinks when it gets old too.

I don't mind gimmicks actually, since I like guys like Delirious and Colt Cabana, but I always feel that storylines should take a backseat to the in-ring action. And yes, I'll admit that I'm a snob, like the fans at Punk: The Final Chapter who for some reason didn't like Matt Hardy.
