Any graphics updates on the pc were not because of microsoft, but because graphics card developers and game developers have contributed to the updating of graphics on the pc. Microsoft's main concern right now is the Xbox. If you're looking for someone that's really "in charge" of pc gaming distribution look at valve. They made steam, which is the most used program for buying games on the pc.

@piker159753 Actually, the PC has more precise controls. At least play on a PC for more then 1 hour before you judge it, you loser. And you can get controllers for the PC, you can even use the Xbox 360 controller on some games with a wireless receiver or hooked up via USB cable.

I love every platform, but you have to admit, the PC shines in graphics and tournament professional gaming. Fucking n00b.

Hardware on consoles at the moment are old, because most of them were released 4-5 years ago; if it wasn't for the old hardware, there wouldn't need to be much (if not any) graphical downscale on consoles - but it is required for today's games. With all the new high resolution graphics, old hardware cannot keep up.

Unlike consoles, PCs hardware can be replaced from older to newer.

Im a PC gamer, but I have to say that MW2 and all the other cod games were built to fit on the 6 year old technology inside the Xbox. For PS3 owners who don't know the reason why it's brighter on PS3 is cause on the Display factory setting the "RGB Full Range (HDMI)" is set on limited while the factory setting on 360 is on Full. now go to the display setting and set it on Full and you will get the exact same results you see here on the 360 version. PS3 put it on limited cause some people still have SDTV and those TV can't support the full setting which is why my buddy had to get HDTV cause 360 looked way too dark on his SDTV

@thevloginator1 Actually, it's not just HDTV vs. SDTV. It depends on the input. Most inputs on HDTV will expect limited by default if the display is calibrated for that, while some TV's have separate "PC" level inputs that expect full outputs.

On both consoles it's resolution is actually 600p but they are both upscaled to make it 1080p so it's not true HD. (Still 60fps) Google it for proof. Mine opinion when playing in 1080p it does look very good even for upscaled. (PS3)
