lol i mean damn....lol or generation was slammed and still is, but at least or cartoon heros were original.

and for that matter, thats what they remake this generation.

It may all be online as webisodes, it was on Cartoon Network's [adult swim] show a while back, maybe they will re-air it.

It was really, really good. It is updated seamlessly to the 2000s but retains the feel and character of the original, the animators and writers did a very, very good job.

Worth watching. Seriously. Everything you wished they did with the original series has come true. I wouldn't hold my breath on a tv series, this is probably supposed hype up the G.I. Joe Movie... But good movie, hope it becomes a series...cheers!

@AcesHigh2007 Not everything I wished they did in the original series came true here. Are Scarlett and Snake Eyes together here as they are in Larry Hama's comic? No, Warren Ellis just pimped her out to Duke the way Sunbow did.

@44excalibur Actually, it's pretty difficult to say who Duke was with in the comics and cartoon.

@sfighter991 In the comics Duke wasn't shown as being with anyone, and Snake Eyes and Scarlett were definitely a couple. The cartoon, however, "implied" something between Duke and Scarlett, but were never specific as Duke was seen with other women as well, and Scarlett was phased out in season 2. Duke never acted like a guy in a relationship.

@LucasCAPS Excuse me, but Marvel did not make the original GI JOE cartoon. Sunbow animation was responsible for that mess. And do'nt go praising 'Resolute' over Marvel. The Marvel comics series by Larry Hama still had better writing and character development -- all from a guy who was an actual Vietnam vet! Oh yeah, and Marvel had Snake Eyes and Scarlett as the ultimate warrior couple, not this 'Resolute' crap where she chooses jarhead Duke instead of Snake Eyes.

Ellis wrote this? Man am I out of the loop so to speak. For me, Ellis's best comic works were Stormwatch, The Authority, and Global Frequency. Although someone told me Ministry of Space was pretty good.
