I have also seen stats that the ring finger tends to be longer than middle finger in femals. They hypothesise it has something to do with hormone influence on growth of the digits. I believe a similar pattern can be seen in toe lenghts.

i've been a nurse for 34 years, neosporin might work for some, but it causes a LOT of rashes and irritation. bacitracin is better in general, or plain vaseline. don't take my word for it, ask anyone that does plastics, hand surgeon, ENT, dermatologist, plastic surgeon, whom ever.

This kind of result can be obtained with any non-toxic ointment that keeps the wound from drying out. I would not recommend neosporin - it is the 3rd most common cause of surface allergy in the US, behind nickle and poison ivy.

HEY, IT'S TRUE! Not that it grows back, but it really heals a bad wound!! My lovebird's toe was mauled by my parrot and it looked exactly like your finger! It was black just like yours! @sunhot19 neosporin contains cortisporin, a STEROID you dumb shit. Steroids speed up healing and can promote cell multiplication. I have seen many examples of people regrowing fingertips using these over the counter, mild steroids.

Read a fucking ingredient list for once before spouting off like an inbred slack jawed hick. The ACTIVE ingredient is cortisporin.

Well, my finger is kinda "slanted" now (not as nicely rounded as you see in the above video now that it healed). It's slightly shorter obviously, but honestly, you can barely tell so much was lost from the beginning. Hope yours heals just as well. Remember to keep it clean, and use Neosporin.

That sucks I know exactly what that feels like. I was using a 1/2 hp disc sander in a shop and the jackasses that used it before me had set the deck about half an inch away from the disc. I was sanding a 5 inch long 1/4 inch piece of oak and it caught a tear that I couldnt see in the paper. It then pulled the board and my index and middle finger of my left hand into the sander and took my index finger to the bone.
