  • the cartoon on the screens the ship crashes into are different

  • They look the same

  • Now presented in Double Vision.

    (Where Drunk.)

  • one is closer than the other but they aren't diff

  • I noticed a couple animations that were changed, 2010 ones have a more alive feel to it than it was back in 1999-2002 version

  • Al fa cagà

  • Hehehe, I cross my eyes to find the differences, then I read your posting ^^

  • if you cross your eyes its in 3d

  • futurama is soo amazing it doesnt have to change

  • I'll play them both at the same time!

That way they can compare the two!

  • "Thank you for using 'Stop n' Drop', America's favorite suicide booth, since 2008."

  • IT IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT

  • Umm? Yea? They never changed the main intro. Cept for that one time where the crew rapped the intro.

  • no, this is what chaps my ass FOX kept Family Guy and cancelled this show! God, i hate Family Guy, i wish FOX would just go away oh and ABC, NBC & CBS. to hell with all of them.

  • @persevere67 LET THE REBBELIAN COMENCE

  • i also noticed that the 2010 one is slightly darker

  • the true 2010 diffrence is that its not on an asshole channel the rejects futurama just when it becomes popular, meanwhile now they get a well repected channel, comedy central

  • One of the few shows with no change ROCK ON FUTURAMA

  • Cross your eyes and it's 3d XD!

  • it's the same shit you fucking moron, the uploader is a fucking moron son of a cunt!

  • @CamiloSanchez1979 Well, someone's awfully upset.

But no, it's not quite identical. There are subtle differences, like having a different clip on the big screen they crash into at 0:24

  • pay close attention and see the small difference

  • @wackyboy2001 you could be referring to several things. the difference in the saying underneath of Futurama, the diference in the TV screen, or perhaps something very minor, such as the "TV 14" sign or comedy central logo on the 2010 version

  • 1999-2002 was that the music had a light tone. while 2010 and the present it has a deeper tone

  • Just looks more HD on the right side.

  • If*

  • I it ain't broke don't fix it

  • @DesGeneral It is 'cos of the more classy TVs with Widescreen 'n such.

  • Women should not drive or fly

  • legal

  • I expected a lot of changes by seeing the title and knowing the style of the producers! But ultimately it's more like the game of 7 errors (I can not find elsewhere)

  • 2002 best

  • wtf

  • the only difference is the cartoon on the big monitor are in color in the 2010 one

  • @stegosaurus567 And the text under the title at the start is a different style.

  • Exactly the same. TAKE A LESSON SIMPSONS!

  • @pelicanflashdance

lol simpsons and futarama are made by the same people

  • @ModernLegoMan lol that's the joke

  • Where is difference at all?

  • Also, the dudes in tubes in the old one are moving steadily, however in the new version they move then stop. Move then stop. Etc.

    Unless I'm mistaken.

  • @warecreepers You are mistaken.

  • There have been slight variations of the theme over the years, including one where it was beatboxed. In fact, I don't think it's ever been exactly the same since the beginning. Something is always different, even if it's a tiny difference.

  • @LCsaint22 that was the same idea with the simpsons opening couch gag always being different and such

  • One of the main differences is that the tune is slightly different towards the end (00:26), and the left one is in full screen, the right one is in widescreen

  • also the people in the tubes are different :/

  • The only difference i see is the effect is smaller on the right where the tv breaks

  • im watching this from 3012, and the shows full of bozo nonsense! :D

  • wow, i hadn't realized that they had redone it for the re-premiere

  • sooooooo..... nothing changes but the normal stuff?

  • i speak for everyone when i say this . . . . . . why

  • Nothings really changed besides added cell shading and it flows a TINY bit better. Still one of my favorite cartoons, next to simpsons and doug.

  • Holy shit i just realise that in 2012 the video is going to end! *watched first episode of futurama, fry goes into freezer, see a scene where aliens destroy earth* REALIZE: How the fuck did mat groening know that the world will end in 2012 by aliens?

  • @pongboy1100

*reads comment and facepalms*...Just like everyone else hinted towards or literally thought for years because of the Mayan mother fucking calendar so he jumped on the band wagon in a clever way? REALIZE:...you smoked yourself retarded and you are so much prettier when you DON'T talk.

  • @pongboy1100 the 2012 myth has been around for so long. i remember people talking about it when i was in the 4th grade. im now a freshman in college

  • its exactly the fucking same.

  • thumbs up that your listening to this because its 2012. the future!

  • @ravage657 don't you mean "THE WORLD OF TOMORROW!" lol

  • @jablesrules Literally read that in his voice

    THE WOOOOOORLD OF TOMORROOOOOOOOOOW

  • @ravage657 I'm from 3012 and you're definitely in the past.

  • A man 1999-2002 looks better man

  • no different

  • @bakumonmaster998 yes there is look at the tv screen before the ship crashes into it Its a diffrent thing on it

  • @TheMrMrPopper thats in every episode

  • Availible in Double Vision (Where Drunk)

  • If you look closely, You can see how nothing at all has changed.

  • @gamegod97 Actually if you look closely, some of the people in the tubes are different, but only a few of them. Can't tell who they are though since this video is low res.

  • @gamegod97 The adverts on the TV changed, that's it I think.

  • make that 2007, it went widescreen at that time aswell

  • OH MY GOD I'M SEEING DOUBLE! FOUR OPENINGS!

  • 240p we meet again...

  • @JayJaytheminingguy you also meet my thumbs down.

  • if you cross your eyes it's almost like watching in 3D

  • In the new one the engine's blue flame on the Planet Express ship is a bit more enhanced

  • Mostly the same, except that the one from 1999 was shot in 4:3, while the one from 2010 was shot in [widescreen] 16:9.

  • ¬_¬ the thing hasnt changed just the freaking monitor (which changes every episode)

  • @omnimon99 The music has and the width of the screen. Plus it's in HD now. And the newer intro cuts out the PE ship flying around, it just shows all the shots of NNY, making it shorter. So yeah, it has changed.

  • can't get enough of those bells ^^

  • @grungeman59 same here!

  • ¬¬

  • it looks the same except for being shown in a different angle O_o

  • I see a difference at 0:20, The guy with a futuristick Helmet has different color before our blond World saving Captain. Just after the captain I also see a difference at 0:21 being a different person come.

    These, which I sure.

Thother big diference is the color. The 2010 look like have more ,,yellow"-ish color, which make the colors brighter.

  • And after ALL those years, Leela STILL crashes into the big monitor! She STILL can't fly with just one eye!

  • @YoshiAngemon I am Bender, please inser- Woah, lost focus for a second there!

  • @YoshiAngemon Didn't she fly OUT of the monitor once? :P

  • @Bluedino549 I'm not sure. But I do know she flew THROUGH the monitor in "Problem with Popplers."

  • @thetan63 "that's the second time you've gone through a billboard this week!" What great continuity futurama has...

  • @Bluedino549 In one of the movie openings, she flies into the screen and gets sucked in, and then flies back out

  • @Bluedino549 in the movie benders game, she got sucked in and went into this place that you would think people that smoke weed would imagine. psychedelic

  • @YoshiAngemon

OMG...that's because she has no depth perception!

  • @YoshiAngemon is that the reason she crashes? I thought it was because she was a woman. Oops

  • @YoshiAngemon Ever heard of depth preciption!

  • MATT GROENING IS THE BEST

  • The main difference I have noticed was in the sound (which is quite hard to show here ;) )

  • I think that when you combine the old song and the updated one, it sounds extra cool.

  • The Planet Express Ship's tail glows more vividly in the newer intro.

  • Is this a new version of 3D ? XD

  • basado en una historia verdadera

  • For some reason i just don't remember Futurama being shown all those years ago.

  • buena calidad aunque mas avansada jeje

  • Besides the tubes and TV crash, all they did was make the lights and jet engines brighter.

  • nichts anders

  • In many of the new episodes, they've cut out part of the intro... sadly..

  • @HarlequinTotsi I guess Comedy Central didn't want to pay for the classic cartoons.

  • CROSS EYE 3D

  • It is very well done considering they completely redrew the whole intro, amazing they did it so accurately.

  • YOU CAN'T TELL THE DIFFERENCE LIKE THIS, CAUSE ONE IN NORMAL AND THE OTHER ONE IS WIDESCREEN !!!

  • There is another difference, one big screen is in color the other isn't.

  • @stealwolf4 Holy shit, This is the same model of intro than the Simpsons : a text that changes every episode, and a changing end element ! the screen isn't in color or not, it's the short inside that is old enough to be only available in b&w

  • I notic 2010's song is deeper than 1999-2002's ;/

  • Bender Is THE BEST!

  • All you guys realize that the tv is different every single episode, right?

  • @vault2281 Don't. Old pop culture refrences never hurt anybody.

  • @031000ron1 sweet

  • @vault2281 Like an overly complicated japanese toilet.

  • @031000ron1 like the simpsons chalkboard

  • just a slight colour correction at the beggining..

  • look at the screens at the end...different robots/human whatever O_O

  • @JamesBlonde0018 different cartoons every intro..

  • Screen on 2002 is wider.

  • 3D

  • The colors seem brighter because Futurama is cel-animated (like cartoons are actually supposed to be ) and painted cels fade over time. Other than that..not really much difference. God, this thing is old. Not surprising, though.

  • Differences, there's a few at the opening, 1: the letters in "futurama" stop rotating faster in 2010 version, and the colors are brighter. The only other difference I can see, thats probably not affected by the aspect ratio change, is at 0:24 on the big screen, there are two different "videos" being shown, and one is in color (2010) while the other is black n white (99-02).

  • @megmaconqueror well of course the clips at the end would be different.. its different every episode..

  • I used the cross eye 3D trick on it.

  • I feel old now for some apparent reason. :O

  • Cannot see any difference in 240p

  • That's the second billboard this week

  • The one on the right does get electrocuted, just less. Budget cuts, we ALL hate em'.

  • ...They aren't very different are they

  • There's one thing different about the TV part at the end. The 1999-2002 one had sparks coming out when the ship crashed.

  • We can't really tell the difference, cause the quality is terrible.

  • i agree, there`s smtg about the tubes that`s differenet and some miliseconds longer

  • in the newer one the ship crashes but doesn't get shocked, in the old one it dose

  • if you ever watch phinies and ferb [i hate the show but our school made us watch it] candis says: ''80's music is so 2002'' now i see what she means by that!

  • There is one thing different that I don't think you guys noticed. Look at the tubes, the people inside are different. O.O

  • @kbros9698 The people in the tubes is always different, like the movie clips on the huge television.

  • @kbros9698 and on the old one the tv at the end is wider

  • @kodikool Its not wider the new one is in 16:9 and was squeezed to 4:3

  • @kbros9698 Also the hover cars in traffic on the top right when the Planet express ship crashes into the screen

  • @kbros9698 AND ZOIDBERG!

  • @kbros9698 Yeah. That was obvious.

  • @kbros9698 No, they aren't. I just watched it slowly and on both sides it shows Hermes, Amy, and then some other people but both being equal on both sides.

  • @ToontownYing there are slight differences. the new one has that sound right before the ship crashes into the billboard and the newer one has the ship burning more fuel at 0:22. those are pretty much the only differences.

  • @brandeezy108 Oh I see. And the sound is the "de-de-dededededehdeh"? Like a rickety sound real fast?

  • @ToontownYing yeah

  • @kbros9698 No, they are the same people.

I checked for that too, but fund no difference.

  • @kbros9698 also what is on the screen they crash in befor the credits show

  • @kbros9698 the people in the tubes are the same, pause it and look.

  • @kbros9698 no?

  • @kbros9698 I paused on it their mainly the same...atleast to me.

  • @kbros9698 that stuff was always different. you could take any 2 opening and see some thing different.

  • @kbros9698 and that the TV picture is in color

  • they're the same

  • @Tyylrr actually one has deeper color than the other but otherwise yes they r the same. Futurama FTW!

  • lol, i wuz 5yrs old when it came out watchin dis

    where wuz ma mom at

  • @gurlzrool Not teaching you to spell, it seems.

  • @ColonelGeslin but i like typing that way :(

  • @gurlzrool What today's youth fail to comprehend is that enjoyment isn't sufficient justification for doing something incorrectly. Which is least enjoyable? Typing correctly or appearing foolish and uneducated?

  • @xPsyNeox um, lol that's a good point right there

this is gonna be a hard habit to break though :P

  • @gurlzrool But, it makes you look like an idiot.

  • OH MY GOD. They're exactly the same!

Surely this is the find of the century.

  • The differences are the size of certain things, the new versions the camera us further away so you see more and I swear there were two extra people in the tubes

  • i was born in 97, wow xD futurama is old too haha
