i own this device, and i really like all my adj stuff. bit this device has a really bad dmx controll setting! It is hardly impossible to make a show like the stand alone mode! but you need dmx controll to use it in show with other devices.

the adj dekker for example has the s2l mode in the dmx controll, thats good!

Why can i see those "laser beams" when im using it? Do i need a fog machine to see them?

@HardstyleMusicEmpire - Yes, to see the beams you'll need to use a fog machine. If you use it somewhere where you can't use fog try pointing it at the ceiling or wall. The guests can still see the exciting colors without fog.

i'm considering buying this. can you tell me what exactly each dmx channel controls? and what degree of control do you have over individual colors/ combinations

What equipment do I need (besides the actual Majestic, of course) to produce the effect between 1:50 and 1:58. I'm pondering a buy, but I'm a little worried as I intend to use the sound active mode. Does anyone know anything about the sound active mode? Are the effects in the film only possible with DMX? An answer would make me very happy!

So I picked up two ADJ Jellyfish and linked them with a 5ft dmx cable. those two and a scorpion storm fx have been making an impact for me. they work great and will definitely get me by until I add the dmx controller and some scanners.

does anyone think that this is basically 2 dual gems put together as one? with the exception that this is dmx and you can link them up.

2 dual gems would be the "Quad Gem."

I think the majestic is very similar but the two lenses in the middle criss-cross as opposed the the Quad Gem which is in more of a crescent shape.

I can't decide between the majestic or the quad. If anyone can help me out with my decision making process that would be great.

My lights so far:

Chauvet Colorstrip

ADJ Revo 3 (for ceilings)

(2) ADJ Sparkles (slow dances)

I want to add either the Majestic or the Quad and a laser.

@FullScaleEnt1 Check out the Chauvet Scorpion laser. I caught a sale at GT and got one for $300... very worth it. You can go all red, all green, or dual color lasers. Im now looking into the light above and a colorstrip... what kind of truss do you use? thanks

Everybody who considers to buy a light show, should combinate the american dj majestic with led par and a fog machine.

The Majestic packs quite a punch with an arsenal of looks and wide coverage. I have several small DJs using this as their whole light show and their clients love it - just put 2 in a small club and for less than $400 you'd swear they spent a grand!
