Actually, how about getting angry at the EPA. And don't forget the EPA signed off on this project with not much safeguard in place to protect the environment in case of the dire situation that is unfolding before our eyes.

Unfortunately, the US House passed the 2,300 page financial "reform" bill that gives complete power to the Fed to "regulate" themselves & all other financial institutions, plus non-bank financial companies. Instead of Congress doing their job by overseeing the banks/financial/insurance biz, they delegate to the Fed. Senate must stop this NOW.

We should still support in store sales at BP gas stations. The stores profit maybe 3% from fuel and rely on selling all the candy and junk inside. Most BP's that you see are locally owned ma and pa shops. If we totally stop shopping at BP we are pretty much doing a terrorist attack on local economy.
Don't but gas from BP! Buy stuff inside the stores though.

AJC in Atlanta today had an article that BP sales in Atl were down 30%...However the article also mentioned that all the stations in GA are independently owned by small business owners and they were the only ones being harmed by a boycott...what do we do? I have been boycotting, but I hate to punish a small business owner when so many are already suffering. It could have easily been shell or texaco. I can't boycott driving, but I can drive as little as possible...

Actually, how about getting angry at the EPA. As the name implies they are supposed to protect the environment but if you listen to their spin about how they are fixing this catastrophe - they sound worse than BP's CEO's stupid lies and excuses and general attitude of total disregard for the environment. And don't forget the EPA signed off on this project with not much safeguard in place to protect the environment in case of the dire situation that is unfolding before our eyes.

Nice initiative - but I'm not sure it is going to do much! Why don't you see what the real culprit is. It's using antiquated oil in the first place for our cars - to allow us to mindlessly drive everywhere we think we need to go. If you want to do harm to the corporate giants just start driving less and maybe even use your bicycle to go to Walmart or DQ. How about walking more often, or taking public transportation? Demand is the source of the problem - and that's you and me.

BBC Aug 2009: Two Chinese business people have been executed for defrauding investors out of more than $120m or £70m, China's state news agency reports. Du Yimin and Si Chaxian "seriously damaged the country's financial regulatory order and social stability", the Supreme People's Court ruled.
Capital punishment in China can be imposed on crimes against national symbols and treasures, such as theft of cultural relics and the killing of pandas.

In 1987-2001 Smith & Wesson was owned by the British engineering company Tomkins PLC.
Gun owners' boycotted S&W following that company's March 2000 settlement with the Clinton admin.
On May 2001, Saf-T-Hammer Corp acquired S&W Corp. from Tomkins for $15 million, a fraction of the $112 million originally paid by Tomkins
2002, the name was changed to Smith & Wesson Holding Corporation. Sales are back to normal today.

This is a bit like saying I want to hurt ALL Japanese/Germans because Hitler or Hirihito told his generals to attack my nation. Would it not be wiser to strike at the ROOT? Is it not useless to chop and burn the branches of evil when the roots still thrive to come back as they surely will? How many innocent people work around BP gas stations? War is cold, heartless, non-discriminatory except for the color shirt we wear. Is this justice undone?

Knee-jerk like a mass bombing raid on a WW2 city never touching Hitler or Hirihito and the admiral/general's ranks.
BP Officers and Board, are personally immune to boycotts. Money, water or oil just flows elsewhere. If you folks FOCUS on the leadership rather than rank and file, really just victims like you, this criminal coverup might have been stopped by now, deterred later.

there is no way to fix this huge leak by fighting BP of fighting any one at all. You must leap forward enough to imagine a solution that is conceivable for the heart. To do that you can for example, ask THE WORLD at large to come help you out..cause the root problem is in devision. Try to make the world up is where you need to look into. This problem is not technical,you must go to source..to come out with the energy you need...
