  • I heard on Wikipedia while filming this, she suffered a nervous breakdown and had to be taken to a private sanitarium.

  • Judy said she didn't even remember filming The Pirate, she was really messed up during filming.

  • Best part of the movie!

  • Judy is Badass!!!! ;)

  • I like this scene... wonderful and very funny

  • i just love her face when she's spanking him.

  • this scene always makes me laugh.

  • "I know you have every right to be upset, but I did it for us!" They sound like an old married couple *grin*

  • they had such fantastic chemistry!

  • LOVE THIS SCENE!!!!!

  • pause at 1:59! xD

  • Wat is it called :)

  • @1235donna The Pirate

  • fuck i cant stop laughing lololol!!

  • God, she did that good!

  • sh is beautiful (:

  • this must've been so much fun to film.

  • wow I laughed at this so much

  • I saw this movie in a theatre earlier tonight....I was laughing so much at this scene! It's so funny! XD

  • just goes to show that actions speak a hell of a lot louder than words. :)

  • does she ever run out of blunt objects?

  • Man, doesn't anyone think that Judy has good aim! I can't throw like the way she does!!!

  • 2:08 just when you thought she ran out of things to throw

  • is he dead at the end of this????

  • @TheJMSmovies No :) They get together at the end :P

  • @lemonsnicker1 but it looks like he's dead...

  • @TheJMSmovies lol He's just playing. When she goes over to him, she gets all worried and such, tells him she didn't mean what she said about his acting (she said it was horrible) and he bats his eyes and wakes up. It's then followed by a song, then guards rush in, arrest him, and you'll just have to see the rest of the movie :D You can watch it online I think.

  • @lemonsnickers1 watch it online where?

  • It kills me how he's just blathering on trying to reason with her, talk talk talk and she just keeps throwing shit at him. xD Kept me laughing!

  • Sorry I meant to say a pirate called Mack the Black not valledupar, sorry.

  • @WhitneyElozabethH No he did not cheat on her he lied and pretended to be a pirate valledupar Mack the Black good guess.

  • She's actuallygot a good arm... ;)

  • Best part ever 2:08 Lol

  • she's got quite a hand ;)

  • was a good movie!

  • oh my God she was insane and beautiful at the same time. Poor man.

  • I bet she really liked playing this part: Breaking the whole room apart, and getting paid for it aswell!

  • gig he die at the end?

  • @starhealer14 No, he's just stunned. This is a musical comedy after all. ^_^

  • @starhealer14 no.

  • It amazes me how this movie did not sell when it first came out. Anytime you have 2 amazing, dynamic actors dedicating all their talents to a comedic performance you have pure gold. Garland could really play any role ranging from sweet innocent girl to badass bitch. Plus she is also one of the greatest singers ever as well and a naturally athletic dancer. She was the ultimate triple threat and maybe the greatest entertainer of all-time IMO.

  • this vid should become a meme

  • SHES LEFT HANDED!!!!!!!!

  • got mad quite when he came and then bam!

  • She was left handed!

  • @cda345 either that or the film was reversed from the original

  • TWO GREAT ACTORS AND GREAT TALENT DISPLAYED HERE, WONDERFUL GARLAND AND KELLY!

  • ahaha he got owned at 2.08

  • im guessing he cheated on her?

  • HA HA HA I got this for my birthday yesterday!

  • Gene Kelly with a moustache..lol

  • Couldn't do this today. Not without cut scenes. Too dangerous.

  • "ONGUARD" * gets pwned by a chair*

  • She's got quite an arm.

  • I just watched this again and I still get a laugh out of this as I did when I was a little girl, when I first saw this film on Sunday afternoon.

  • Hahaha I've never seen someone get hit by a chair so epically before.

Damn Gene Kelly really did do everything with grace and style. Even when he's being barraged with flying furniture.

  • love this lol

  • WONDERFUL way to vent out ALL your frustrations...from the on AND off set ones! I really hope she took advantage of this particular scene, lol!

  • the part where he pulls out the sword and says "en garde!!" and then she throws a chair at him was HILLARIOUS!!!!

  • haha she OWNS.

  • this is hillarious! she nearly gets him once or twice... okay several times she almost dings him good!

  • Do Not Understand, Judy Garland? Do You Want to Take away Housewares?

  • Ata girl! thats the way to treat your man. lol wow she's great! Thanks that really just made my day.

  • This scene from the pirate is the best! It is SO hilarious! :D <3

    Thanks for posting! <3

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!!!

watching gene kelly shrieking, apologiezing and running for his life is absolutelly PRICELESS!!

  • what the heck...smooth music and all of a sudden 0:34 lol

  • I throw left-handed, too.

  • amazing and might i say WHAT AN ARM on that girl

  • One old Judy fan told me he once asked Judy if she had fun doing this scene and Judy replied, "Only on the first take."

    Man, was she funny!

  • What an arm! What an aim! She should have pitched for the Mets!

  • The entire Judy Garland Story begs the question of what sort of "management" she had. She clearly was in an advantageous position being a major asset to MGM. Had she had a formidable agent, she might have been treated better.

For what she earned for MGM, she was more than entited to stock in the company, but never had any. The question remains, why?

  • haha!! she looks so outstandingggggggggg!!!!!!!!!

  • love it!

  • If Judy was a victim of anyone, it was herself. She later admitted she had no recollection of filming "The Pirate".

  • Love this scene! just the shrieking from Serafin is funny enough! <3

  • My God My God Wasn't she beautiful!!!

  • Yes!!! Those MGM bastards need to rot in hell for making her feel so low about herself.

  • It was her mother as well as MGM that got her permanently hooked on those drugs that later made her gravely ill each time she thought she could wean herself off of them but ultimately when to a place far beyond the rainbow where she could finally feel accepted, beautiful and always be young. I miss her so much. I will say this is she's not there, then my friend John Fricke and I are not going lol

  • FIERCE BITCH - love her

  • Is this from Citizen Kane?

  • No, Citizen Kane is an art movie. This is a comedy called "The Pirate".

  • Haha!!! So funny!

  • i want a left handed girlfriend.......!

  • I love this movie!

  • Wuhay, Judy Garland's got some aim!

  • HOLY CRAP!!! haha dorothy with some edge!!!

  • Hes a really good dogder lol!

  • Manuela! Ma... Ma... Manuela!

    Touché. :)))))

  • it's funny how gene didn't even collapse when judy hit him with a sculpture @ :35 - :36

  • I love how she doesn't say anything the whole time, just keeps throwing.

  • i luv this movie,

  • I know this movie!

  • there was alot of stuff in that room.

  • hahaa i just love this video especially the part where she throws the chair and the painting on his head!

  • lol Judy is a lefty :D

  • She IS a lefty! I feel prouder to be one now :)

  • Wow! That's an amazing scene. The most amazing thing is that it was probably done in one take, given the near complete demolition of the set. Fantastic!

  • she has perfect aim he just dodges it. haha

  • haha the chair just flies at him

  • i love when she throughs the chair haha

  • I like when she threw that vase at Gene Kelly's head.

  • wow. i hope this didnt take too many shoots :s the things she broke :o

  • tht mustve been a fun scene 2 do haha

  • My favorite part is 1:40-1:46

  • i think he's dead

  • HAHA this is so funny i loved her as Dorothy and she is so funny in is

  • this is the funniest part of the movie XD I LOVE ADORE CHERISH AND WORSHIP JUDY!

  • ...thats Gene Kelly...whoa

    lol

  • yup.

Amazing what they did with make up back then, and no special effects, more original comedy too, actors who do their stunts too ... honestly, they say TV has advanced in years?!

  • haha YESYESYES

Its so wierd seeing him first in singing in the rain and then...like this :DD and Judy Garland looking positivley EVIL!!! :P

  • LmAo!!! Priceless movie scene. she was a hoot.

  • <3 the chair part.

    fantastic.

  • I wish she would have done this to her Mother, jealous sisters , and the people on the lot who started her pill addiction , etc. R.I.P Judy.

  • Judy Garland was pure hotness XD

  • haha, I laughed out loud at this scene...

  • lol that's awesome!

  • This is my favorite part of the movie!!

Manuela, you're overdoing this, you're being vindictive!!!!

  • this is the FUNNIEST PART IN THE WHOLE MOVIE XD

  • Wow I didn't know Judy was left handed! She must have loved doing that scene. Hopefully it was all done in one take lol. Poor Gene...he's so funny in this. I'd hate to be the cleanup crew lol.

  • Man, I would have hated to be on the cleanup crew...

  • I'd let Judy throw china at my head anyday.

  • She's got damn good aim!

  • hey, look who's a lefty! :D

  • I love this movie!!!

  • this made me laughing. but my mom had a visitor when i watched this the first time so i had to hold my giggle fit in.

  • hahaha the singer of the century has a pretty good arm on her too!!!

    <3 <3 you judy!!! RIP

  • I know! I'm surprised! She always seemed so delicate, but look how she's throwing that stuff! Go Judy! Luv you!!!

  • She was never delicate. She was on drugs from 13 years old, though it partly wasnt her fault, but she also became an alcoholic, attacked her son with a butcher knife and was really violent from her 30's till she died.

  • I know ALL about Judy...trust me!

  • well, know more. watch the documentary on here called "what killed judy garland" ok?

    x

  • Oh , I've watched it like, a THOUSAND TIMES!!!

  • so why are you correcting me, when i was right in the first place, cos i got that info from that video dear

    x

  • Uh...obviously you have a really bad memory!

  • idiot! no i haven't

it SAYS SHE WAS A DRUG ADDICT FROM THE AGE OF 13 RIGHT AT THE START U FUCKTARD!!

so face it that uv lost the argument !

build a bridge and get over it u fuckin unwanted shit!

  • actually, it was 15.

  • I'm glad that both of you have so much interest in learning more about Judy. However, that documentary is based, for the most part, on speculation and Hollywood lore. Please do not take that as fact or a valid reference.

  • kk w.e

  • Actually, thanks to her mother she was given uppers and downers from a very young age to get her through the vaudeville days. Metro made it worse, and she wasn't the only child star casualty.

She also wasn't an alcoholic but she was made to look it as she often spent nights out because of her insomnia. And the rumor was she attacked her son when she was in a v. bad state caused by the pills and what is known today as bi-polar disorder. If only she had got the help she needed in the mgm days.

  • But anyway, we shouldn't look at her problems (or call others fucktards...how divine. Not.) She was an exceptionally talented lady which is reflected today by the people who still remember her.

  • ...known about her. Lol this is carried on frm ur last comment.

  • yeh. well the uppers and downers were speed. "barbituates" i think thts how u spell it lol. anyway, when mixed with alcohol it can cause an accidental overdose, and thats what killed her. She did become an alcoholic because of her

3rd or 4th husband. She did chase her son around her apartment in New York, and she threatened Minelli. Theres a documentary to the right called "what killed judy garland". watch it. and like u sed in ur other comment, she was a wonderful lady and im proud to have

  • do you know the famous soprano Maria Callas thought Judy Garland was the best singer of all time?

  • I love this scene, poor Mr.Kelly! I love when he shout and then fall on the table, hahaha!

  • good god... what did he do to deserve that?

  • he lied to her about who he was

  • and put her in a trance in which she told everyone singing and dancing she was really in love with a pirate.

  • so... did he died?

  • lol no. Its a romantic comedy musical

  • she really looked to be enjoying herself lol

  • I get a big kick out of this scene this is where both go crazy and Gene really reminds me of Jerry Lewis even before Lewis became a big star

  • Hey...! She's left handed.

Look, every throw, with the left.

  • having heard things about what happened to her when she was drugged & boozed up, this is kinda life imitating art.or vice versa. :( poor judy. rip

  • No more "poor Judy" or f**king pill/booze comments. She did her BEST. Take a look in the mirror- AMERICA'S addiction to pills, booze, TV/MAINSTREAM MEDIA, buying, diet, vanity, oil, MONEY. We ARE programmed & imprisoned by CULTURE. A dose of "shrooms" CAN safely dissolve the mind's illusions, but our fascist Gov't LIES ABOUT NATURE. Find the infinite beauty, not the "fault" in Judy Garland..the divine energy that her soul projected into time-space happened only once this eternity..don't miss it.

  • touche

  • ahahahhahaahahahahhaa !!!!!!! lol !

  • hant seen this movie, but i would love too!!

why exactly did she go crackers!!!
