Inception is no where near Donnie Darko. Even if Donnie Darko didnt exist, Inception is still a shit movie. It bored the shit out of me. Donnie Darko is a lot more interesting. I watched most of Inception and quit the movie in the last 30mins.

This film is WOW. I enjoy films that make you think about what's really taking place. I love Inception but Donnie Darko is the Dark Knight and Inception on Acid! I had to watch it at least a few times to get the full story. Great Movie. Very creepy movie.

I think this is the best movie from an US director, it's so deep when you don't know how to interpretate the main idea from the movie. I saw an interview with Richard Kelly and he says this movie is a critique to the school system but I think the main idea goes farther than that. In some momments I actually think I'm Donnie Darko, I've kinda felt what he appears to feel in the movie and no, I don't use drugs lol but I suffer insomnia and I do really feel like him in some points. I love how the Director's Cut, defines a lot of the detail on Time Travel, makes people understand the movie a lot more I think. But in the Original I love how perfect the sounds and music are on the scenes.

I just watched Donnie Darko the other day, for the first time. I can't believe I hadn't done so sooner--such an amazing movie, and every little twist was great. The sci-fi part of it was a pleasant surprise, as well. As for the soundtrack, I like hearing it without all the movie dialogue on top of it. It's full of lovely synth!
