  • I am from the UK and this style is older than I had at school in the 1970's. I do like the style though. She is very patient.

  • I think you are correct, the order should be plasma, basement membrane and then podocytes which form the wall of the capsule.

Also the efferent arteriole should be narrower than the afferent, this contributes to the high pressure of the blood.

  • is it me. or does the basement membrane come before the podocytes. not after it. so basically inorder for filteration they most pass though basement membrane then get absobed by podocytes. please correct me if i am wrong???

  • She Is Areal teacher

  • Our anatomy teacher watches her just to know what to teach us. Professor Diamond is fantastic!

  • She is so fantastic, her students are so lucky. This form of teaching is a lost art.

  • my anatomy professor is so much worse than her

  • Teachers dont write on the blackboard anymore.. She is a old school teacher..

  • Respects for the Prof!!!

  • @ craigJUtube --- Its general ANATOMY not physiology--- Anatomy is only the names and terms... She is a wonderful teacher for ANATOMY... she is not teaching the PHYSIOLOGY however, she does give the functions of the organs!

@dudeB15---- dude she is like 90....??? I wouldnt be showing passion out of my ass at 90 and OBVIOUSLY she has passion for anatomy if she is still teaching at her age and seems to still love it.

  • A great reimforment to the class I am taking this summer at Univ of Texas, covered this in class tonight

  • All she does is list all the anatomical names and terms. Not actually very helpful.

  • @dudeB15- man, don't disgrace yourself, who are u to say that she doesn't have passion. she knows a lot more then u will ever do. and by the way, I bet you wont go on teaching young minds at her age while gasping and writing on a blackboard.

So respect you teachers. They are the ones who can give you the most. Start from the first lecture and you will love her.

  • i rather not be an A-hole, but shes not a good teacher, i dont see that passion, that spark for teaching

  • does she still teach there? if she does then i want to go to UC berkeley

  • Can we clone her and bring her to NJ? I now understand in a few min. what my prof. couldn't explain in 6 hours of boredom. Kudos and thank u so much:)

  • Can we clone her and bring her to NJ? She just explained in a few min. what my professor still hasn't in a 6 hour lecture.. Kudos and thank u so much..:)

  • if i had more time, i'd be watching this now. Instead, i'll watch it over the weekend to prepare for my test monday :)

  • SHE IS A TEACHER WHO NOLY NEDDS US TO LEARN

  • SHE IS A TEACHER . YES WITH ALL WHAT THIS WORF MEAN YES SHE IS NOT LAZY SHE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HER OWN REST OR AGE BUT SHE TRADES ALL THIS FOR TEACHING YOU AND ALSO TEACHING ME THRU HER EXCELLENT VIDEOS

  • Number 5 for the bowmans and glomerulus structure it was suppose to be efferent venule not efferent areterole because its leaving the kidney therefore its a vein not a artery and its also filtered blood while the afferent arerole is rich in oxygen but still unfiltered as it goes through the kidney it gets filtered and becomes dexogenated and exits out the kidney into the inferior vena cava eventually reaching the right atrium and into the lungs to get oxgenated....

  • @stronger012 Wrong! In any text book and any medical program this is one continued arteriole, unlike other capillaries of the rest of the body the Glomerular capillaries are UNIQUE and postioned between 2 arterioles.

  • She is soo much better than my anatomy teacher. I really like that she writes everything she says down. Much easier to follow and more organized than my anatomy teacher.

  • this lady is simply amazing . its help me a lot in my clinical understanding . Iwonder if my lecturers can turn out to be like her ..

  • Excellent, thank you :)

  • Urinary system at 10:00

  • @supmywaxter thanks haha was just looking for that

  • 9 people are dumb

  • she`s struggling to write on the board . lol

  • Forget Athabasca University for online courses. This woman is incredible, I wish I could give her a hug. Why did I take this Anatomy and Physiology as an elective? Bad bad choice.

  • Fantastic! Thank you

  • great lecture, thank you

  • Thank you so much for posting this video. It was really helpful for my anatomy class. God bless you!!!!!!!

  • Such aggression on the eraser.

  • this woman is vgreat thanks

  • thank you so much...great review

  • thats a big ass eraser!!!!!!

  • Urinary system at 10:00

  • @weglovers thank you

  • If anyone isn't aware: when she refers to absorption in the PCT's, she means reabsorption of previously filtered materials FROM the glomerular filtrate in the PCT's back into the blood via the peritubular capillaries. I thought I might point that out since she doesn't seem to make it too clare.

  • Thanks so much for sharing this video! I am currently taking A&P 202 and this was a great review for my test on the urinary system! She is a great professor we need more just like her!

    Warm thanks from Phoenix Arizona!

  • woah. i really like this video. my bio classes by my teacher has really limited knowledge.

    maybe it's cause i am just greedy as i m only 14.

i really enjoy watch all the videos. =D

    thx for uploading.

  • Thank you so much for sharing this, It and some of the other lectures have helped me enormously. What I would give to have this ladies knowledge!

  • she is excellent in teaching. As it should be. Thank you for posting. Thank you for sharing. Really glad to have the opportunity to watch and learn from a great source.

  • 11 & 12th grade are basically prep for college... and many people quit school before that & then go to college as a mature aged student

  • wow the teach the stuff in university, this is the same thing im taking in grade 11

  • You will realize that a lot of the materials that you learned in High School will only get repeated in college. Of course then you get into the teeny tiny details.

  • Well this kind of biology is the basics, then you go onto more in depth details.

When people start college, they could be any age, so classes go over the basics again especially for those who have not been in school for a long time. Like I had not been in school for 10 years before I started university.

  • A professor who has dedicated her life in teaching and enlightening others, thank you very much Professor Diamond...you are really and trully 1 in a BILLION....you have given me motivation in pursuing my life long ambition of being a professor and i am only 21 yrs old.

  • @SOCOMOD go get em!!!

  • I love these lectures and use them as review after I study for my own Anatomy and Phys courses.

  • same :) it's a awesome review

  • The urinary system lecture starts at 9:45.

  • dat's not a good way to talk about other people...

  • That is extremely rude. She seems like a very helpful and kind teacher with a great amount of experience and intelligence.

  • your lucky she let you turn in the assignment late, most teachers wont take in late work

  • Omg my Biology teacher in Kenya used to teach exactly like she does! Funny how he's in an LEDC being underpaid for his job, and she teaches at Berkeley, California and probably gets paid a lot..

  • thank you so much. Was doing A+P on a distance learning module for three months this was my best teacher by far

  • u guys at uc berkeley are lucky to have her. she is really good and writes down everything. she is not a lazy teacher.

  • wow, i should just not go to class anymore, this is a million times more efficient!

  • What is a " CC " ?? measurement >?

  • a millilitre

  • The first part is somekind of boring... very conventional type of teaching but i cant deny that she is very professional and. the second part is more interesting =)

  • this helps a lot. thanks.

  • Holy crap! This is amazing!! Wow wow wow! Thank you so much for uploading this!! I'm studying this for my AP Bio test right now, and my own AP teacher didn't explain it very well. It's so wonderful that you managed to upload the whole lecture!

  • Awesome. love her teaching way. this are the teachers we can never find in the coming generations

  • Thank you so much!!! Awesome!!!

  • she is the best she make my concept more clear thanks

  • She knows her stuff but her excited about the subject stage is gone I think

  • I love these lectures! She is an awsome teacher. She makes it so these complicated systems are easy to understand.

  • wonderful teacher

  • She is wonderful! Thanks! we need those kind of teacher in CCNY, new york!
