how i know when i picked up something??? good question ! & we should have a X price for the one who will analyse the discovery on its computer ! we will get 1000 times computersss around the world ! 10 Million $ should be attractive ! money is money
Calculating how many stars there are in the galaxy, and how many planets there CAN be with life in each solar systems, and how old the universe is, hence how old a civilization has a potential for being (in other words: how long ago they begun to send radio signals into space), and finally imputing all these variables into the formula, the probability of pointing at a star and it containing life is on average 1 in 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (subject to change depending on variables).
However, by simply pointing towards each star system that fits SOME of the requirements for only a matter of seconds at a time, all day and all night, it would be surprising if we DIDN''T find life on another planet by the year 2025.

In the sound waves, how would u know when you picked up something??
MonsterSlayer14 4 years ago
It looks for particular patterns or regularities I guess, instead of just random noise.
AlecJB 4 years ago
Does it tell you what the noise is?? How do you find out??
MonsterSlayer14 4 years ago
Well the bars are representing the noise I think, and the idea is to try and find regularities within the bars. Not sure entirelly though, hehe.

Simple, because he's an idiot. Don't argue with him but he's like 80% of Americans: a Redneck. Here's the real deal:

Is that your hard drive making the noise or the computer itself?
