they're very special, in a way that makes their music unique, and it just blows me away when I listen to them..maybe it's quite "strange" to most people, but that's one of the things they do so damn good compared to commercial crap. I LOVE MEW :D and they deserve to be much more appreciated as a band, but I guess most people don't "get their music".

Very Stone Roses. Their song Don't Stop was pretty much the first example of taking an existing song (that being Waterfall) and reversing it, then writing new lyrics over it. Not the catchiest song one could written, but in a technically aspect, it's fucking genius actually.
