good fit Bowery, Clark and VU (if you look at the other Bowery vids you'll see in one he's wearing the costume here saying he just wore it in Clark's "Because We Must") - I love the Clark stuff with the Fall - good expression of the "new form of beauty" as the Virgin Prunes coined it so succinctly back in the day- we are the other people - you're the other people too.
Director/Editor: Charles Atlas. Choreography: Michael Clark. Dancers: Leigh Bowery, Leslie Bryant, Joachim Chandler, Michael Clark, Dawn Hartley, Matthew Hawkins, David Holah, Amanda King, Rachel Lynch-John, Leesa Phillips, Russell Maliphant, Gisela Mariani. Music: Frederic Chopin, T-Rex, Graham Lewis, Velvet Underground, Dome. Executive Producer: Jolyon Wimhurst. Camera: John Shann, Bill Abbott, Joe Taylor. Camera Assistant: Ian Wallace. Editor: Hugh Chaloner.
According to the Electronic Arts Intermix: Because We Must
Charles Atlas. 1989
In Because We Must, Atlas continued his collaboration with British choreographer Michael Clark, the enfant terrible of the dance world in the 1980s. Based on an original stage production at Sadlers' Wells Theatre in London, this is an ironic, irreverent work that is as entertaining as it is provocative.
Im studying this piece at the mo, and its a section from Clark's 1987 work, Because We Must. Leigh Bowery performs in it and designed all the costumes, so these costumes are Bowery, not Heath-Kerr, I don't think Heath-Kerr has done any work with Clark.
I have just been informed this is a Michael Clark dance piece, and Brenton Heath-Kerr designed the costumes, and was the Art Director. So the dancer, who is much slimmer than Brenton...is wearing one of his creations. Brenton Heath-Kerr was an amazing Sydney performance artist, so if anyone has any footage, please post it.

This could be Sydney performance artist Brenton Heath-Kerr, who adapted looks developed by Leigh Bowery. He was not as heavy as Bowery, and was famous for his 'Gingham Woman' Does anyone else know?
This is the very epitome of Drag =)
