Hello; a website I read recommended to stand your ground, and if it bites to not respond to the bite as much as you can and to push your hand towards the bird. What do you think of that? I prolly didn't explain it as well as they did, but then again, what is credible on google is highly debatable, lol. Just curious! Your input would be great. I am about to own a cockatiel, so having him not like and bite me is a fear I have.
@Mooyouhooka You asked a great question! It is so good that I made a video response to it. Unfortunately YouTube won't even allow for me to link to my own video, so it is in my channel as "Take the Bite".
@Mooyouhooka i wouldnt reccomend because when the bird bites if its from fear wich is usually if there grabbed doing what u read wouldnt do a thing just get u biten more and make the bird more scared bacause it will think it cant do aneything to stop u grabbing it what i recomment is putting ur hand in the cage on the same perch as the bird if it moves do it again same perch aboit A FEW HAND LENTHS AWAY do this every day then gradually get cloer the bird then will trust u keep goin
