When they are driving back from the hospital and he says he should have tried harder and the mother realizes what he said it just get me. The way she is acting is just so convincing. What a beautiful movie.

If I could direct I would kill to make a film like this. There is nothing more special than the way a 90's movie looks/feels. I cannot explain it My all time favorite films (Not all 90's) Stand By Me, The Sandlot, Simon Birch, and this. I love these real deal "What its like to be a kid" kind of thing. Not some bs Disney nonsense, at least not what they have now.

they were more realistic they spoke to your true emotions on how we felt as a kid.

Now all these movies are specifically made to fashion and form the kids into mindless drones..its all a big commercial now

I have searched for this movie since i was in college and never had a copy of it. Thank you for posting this on youtube! I have watched this several times and now, same result. A very touching movie that it moves me and makes me cry over and over again. A movie about what a genuine friendship and unconditional love a mother can give. Still my tears are falling.. Thank you for this movie!
