  • Brain Cook is an awesome bassist! one of my favorites!

  • The title of this song makes very disturbing videos pop up in the related section. People might get the wrong idea but then be pleasantly surprised.

  • wtf I hope you guys realize this song came out like 8 yrs., ago?

  • its all rock n roll to me

  • Math rock

  • whats up with everything ending in "core?"

    mathcore

    hardcore

    metalcore

    applecore!

    stopp.

we need original names for these new genres...oh! i got it...music.

  • yeah i agree.. i think everyone is just tryingtohardcore lmao

  • @JahRadical Anyone sane will label this as post-hardcore and leave it at that; I would suggest that you stop buying into emerging genres that only apply to bands in the 2000s.

  • @LeafDew Well this applies to many of the bands emerging now. I understand "hardcore" and "post-hardcore" but, too many bands are trying to mix "hardcore' in their music. It's taking away from the bands that mastered hardcore and post-hardcore.

  • @JahRadical I suppose. But it's the nature of the beast nowadays. I would rather Lady Gaga be labelled as a Stoic Suburbanite Afrodisiac instead of Pop Music. What can we do. =(

  • @JahRadical "-core" refers to genres that are combine other genres with Hardcore Punk influences which is a pretty popular thing to do right now.

  • @evilpacman1742 I know what the inference of "core" means, but what I don't get is how some of these new genres get influences from hardcore? So a band has breakdown? Ok well look at bands like Search The City, it's not heavy, but they do have breakdowns. Idk, I guess some bands have taken this whole "core" influence out of hand. Hardcore to me is just suppose to be rough and pure, not necessarily heavy. I just don't find that roughness in today's new music.

  • this is cool..i like it

  • this is an amazing band. great influence.

  • if anything, these guys are directly influenced bye at the drive-in.

  • nah.

  • Reminds me of Fall of troy just better.

  • ...fall of troy? fall of troy is better than what?

  • Fall of troy is amazing just this band sort of reminds me of them but doesn't have that warped tour flavor that all these scene kids love. Not saying warped tour is bad or anything I like when Mathcore bands don't sound like screamo or false "Scene kid" Grindcore.

  • The only lame thing about Fall Of Troy is the vocals. The band is awesome though.

  • warped tour pretty much does suck, and this isnt a core band. i dont get why everybody thinks that every sub-genre of metal has to have a core with it in order to be legitimate. why does it all have to be lumped into such specific catagories?

  • I agree with you 100% dude, I'm tired of all these genres as well. This band does count as Mathcore because it does cantain small amounts of hardcore-punk. I guess catagories seprates the real metal and the fake un-tallented metal. But it all sounds good to me though.

  • i like These Arms Are Snakes but they are definately not mathcore

  • Scenecore is what I call it, might be the word you're looking for. I can't stand scene kids, though. What's the point of copying this image off of myspace? Popularity? It's sad how good styles of music, like 90's indie-emocore, could be digested and thrown out as grindcore and plain noise that kids just blast through their headphones to seem dark or whatever.

  • some of their music can be pretty good...their melodic metalcore is fairly decent but its the whole thing about listening to breathe carolina one minute then blasting job for a cowboy as their supposed grindcore(try "Pig Destroyer" kiddies). Even their metalcore they think its called screamo and think gym class heros are original(faith no more, and beastie boys...it's been done before)

  • these guys are picking up where fugazi left off.

  • So right.

  • i saw them last year in germany and yesterday in luxembourg. just love them! especially steve ;D

  • this band played in my town,in spain (alicante) 3 years ago.

i really enjoyed the gig. the singer is completely nuts and kicks asses.

the band reminds me of those Jesus Lizard from the 90's...

i hope i will see this band in madrid next november

  • I Just Saw Them Live Tonight At The Center For The Arts, They Were So Good! I Danced So Hard My Neck Is Still Shaking, They Were Great Live!

  • pretty good but terrible live. at bumbershoot they were really bad. i had to leave early kuz it was gettin really irritating.

  • Really?! I thought they were good at bumbershoot, that's actually how i got into them. I thought they played a kick ass show, they were getting the crowd to go pretty crazy, considering they were in the exhibition hall or watever where there's a lot of limits and the lead singer's a frickin nut job on stage

  • this is damn good,man!!

  • there is a girl i know who thinks shes a horse. this should be her theme song. hehehe

  • @xminoritymonkeyx You should ride her, and break her spirit.

  • These guys are cool as hell. I got to open up for them when they were first starting out. Oxeneers wasn't even out yet. They did sound for us that night. I've been a fan ever since.

  • BULLSHIT.

  • True story. It was a small bar with a crappy P.A in El Paso, TX called The Regal Begal. The night before The Red Light Sting had played there. Anyway, there was no one doing sound, so he leveled everything out for us. Keep in mind this was 2002 or 2003. Now look how big these guys are. I have no reason to lie.

  • Internet fame is your reason to lie.

  • I believe him.

  • lol, internet fame, i'm not even going to remember his comment in an hour...

  • Internet fame? Ha! I hardly even check check this thing. Look how long it took me to respond. This is retarded. I'm going to drop it right here. Peace.

  • It was a joke, jackass.

  • not everyone's full of shit ya know

  • Ummmm.

They remind me of Showbread at points.

    Oh, well.

  • love this band, this album, this song

  • These arms are snacks...!

  • there is no any arms !!he he !!!

  • LOL! XD

  • Minus the Bear is the obvious winner of this split

  • "These Arms Were in Botch"

  • Which ones were in Botch?

  • Brian Cook.

  • Is that the drummer, or bassist? Or neither?

  • The bassist, Brian. Dave from Botch contributed additional guitars to some tracks as well.

  • You're a little shithead, jtschavarria. What are you, like 10 years old? I hope to God that's your excuse for being such a schmuck.

  • good band. funny video. Sound more like FuGazi than anyone

  • 27 april PORTO, PORTUGAL in a fucking boat...we will sink the boat...cant wait

  • only heard about this band today, they are awesome.

  • botch is better

  • Of course Botch is better, you simpleton. They INVENTED this shit. The point is what mentalists these ones are.

Oh, sod it. Point taken. I'm going to go listen to Chrome Hoof.

  • kill sadie > botch

  • What shit? Botch and TAAS are completely different. I could think of a million bands that sound nothing like TAAS but are still ripping off Botch.

  • This album should be in everyone's collection.

    simply awesome.

  • Amazing. I <3 TAAS.

  • lol

  • One of the best albums of the year.

  • YESSSSS!!!

  • Sweet...

  • Fucking AWESOME!
