  • bad ass suppressor

  • silencer works great

  • i want one rifle and suppressor,

  • Almost as quite as the casings hitting the ground!

  • Elitearbor! Very cool. How long did it take to convert this Ruger 10 .22? How long did it take to create the silencer? I'd like to speak with you about this project. Can I have your direct email or another way to reach you? Thanks! Christina

  • @auntomonchrissy I'd be willing to discuss, but you've got contact lock on. I cannot send you a private message due to that. ;)

  • @elitearbor was the click, click, click the action?

  • GOD bless your ingenuity. keep up the good work. thats the way silencers should be , especially with high velocity ammo. I also see you live in the free part of the USA, whereas i live in commie land dictatated by our stalin like mayor blumberg. he believes the criminals should run wild & good people should not carry conceal, just wait & hope to live if a perp robs U at gun point. NYC finest R great but they got too much on their hands with terrorism.

  • WOW that is awesome.

  • Well, when i first saw the gun i thought "gay. Way too short." Then i saw the suppressor i thought "Gay. Way too long." Then, when i could barely hear it discharge i thought, "perfect." Now, i'm eatin crow."

  • SO COOL!!!!

  • mate that unreal! how loud are the .410 shotguns with suppresser attachment or fully supressed barrel?

  • @GWR4079 Quiet, in my experience, DEPENDING on the load you use. Using a supersonic load makes things much louder. Using a ported barrel with silencer (integral mufflers as those available from HushPower) removes the need to get subsonic ammunition, and they really are quieter than those that are added on afterward. The screw-on silencers are quite good IF they are well made and used with subsonic ammo.

However, things may have changed since the model I heard was produced.

    Cheers. :)

  • @elitearbor thanks for the information mate very good info

  • dude that is legit!

  • The wind outside my window is louder than that, nice.

  • silencers are illegal

  • @familyguysucks69 No they are not

  • @familyguysucks69 Silencers are not illegal, it takes a lot of work to get one, but if you have no criminal record you can get one. I have one and bought it completely legally.

  • is that gun legal with and with out the suppressor?

and how much was your cost in making that little bad boy?

nice video and keep up the good work and merry xmas

  • @Skidz1818 The rifle is an SBR (short barreled rifle)...they're legal in most states IF you go through local and Federal background checks and pay a $200 Tax Stamp if the ATF approved your paperwork (which they almost certainly will if you have as clean record). Same goes for silencers and registered machine guns manufactured before 1986. Some states (CA, NY for example) don't allow ownership or transfer of any of these items. The process usually takes a few months.

  • Were you shooting subsonic ammunition?

  • Nice bro.... that came out NICE.... Makes it sound like a airsoft gun...Great job man

  • Homemade silencer that works flawlessly?

    AWSOMESAUCE!

  • Holy crap

  • Holy crap

  • The fly that flew across the screen at about 1:06 was louder than the gun.

  • Wow great job! I think I can click a pen louder than that!

  • WOW that just went from a gun to a CAP gun

  • Very nice. Thanks for posting.

  • That is the sweetest sounding suppressor I have ever heard, wish I had one !

  • lmao..82 people are scared of silence.

  • All i heard was a soft "click click". Not even the "woosh". Awesomeness :D

  • is that a stapler ?? its Sounds like

  • Holy crap thats amazing

  • Quieter than the ticking on my digital watch. Awesome build.

  • Quieter then my PC D:

  • that is an amazing silencer

  • wow sick, its quieter than a paintball gun

  • impressive

  • You sir, have created the ultimate zombie weapon...where do I sign?

  • nice

  • Holy crap, it does sound like a stapler.

  • Overbuilt, yes, but effective and durable.

  • The term silencer is traditional the term suppressor was coined by the late Mitch Werbel of MAC fame.Great video did you taper the bore of the K stack and how many K's are in there.

  • Comment removed

  • @jefffromjoise See that informational blurb? See the sentence that reads "[t]he silencer and 10/22 SBR are registered per the 1934 NFA and comply with applicable state laws"?

Did you read the information before you posted your comment?

  • For exploding gunpowder, that's damn quiet. Nice work.

  • Quiter than my little brothers airsoft gun.

  • Man this is just great. You did an amazing job, i would come to you to buy a 22. suppressor any day sir.

  • My paintball gun is louder than that.

  • can the same be made for the ruger charger ?....thank you for the info and videos ...you do a great job !....peace

  • @seahorsecowboys Yes, of course - you can actually buy threaded Charger barrels from Ruger. A few aftermarket barrels are also available. :)

  • @elitearbor ....hey brother thanks for the fast reply !....love your channel lots of kwel big boy toys !....thanks again and peace

  • sorry to correct alot of you but its suppresser not silencer

  • @treydogg201 There is so much wrong with that single sentence that I am honestly unsure of where to start.

"Sorry to correct a lot of you, but it's suppressor, not silencer." would have been proper in terms of punctuation, spelling, capitalization, and of course grammar, but still incorrect with regards to silencer nomenclature.

Do the human race a favor and go back to school for a few years, if you would. Right now, your only function seems to be bringing a laugh to those of higher intellect.

  • @treydogg201 silencer is a type of suppressor. also, some of the suppressors made by a company called Silencerco are named silencers, as far as I know.

either way, it doesn't matter. Go back to your video games, bud. (although crysis is sick, haven't played crysis 2 yet)

  • @treydogg201 When its as quiet as that its a sliencer

  • @treydogg201

Yea but Hiram Maxim invented the first one and called it "the Maxim Silencer" hence where it first got the original name.

  • Holy shit, that's quieter than an airsoft gun. REALLY nice craftsmanship on that can

  • sounds like a air soft gun

  • Wicked gun and silencer!

  • That is so coool!

  • I watched this and i was like "Holy Shit!" haha nice job that silencer is boss

  • OH shit!!

  • WOW

  • Nice

  • 200 dollar tax stamp for silencer ? did you have to get permisson to make it first them serial number it and registration. i swear all guns should have this stuff it would save alot of shooters hearing and hell its only a muffeler.

  • BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHA I FUCKIN WANT ONE

  • Too freaking cool, that would be so much fun. No disturbing the neighbors popping squirrels and rabbits. To bad I live in Kaliforny......

  • DANNNGGGG !!!! Well I'll be !

  • Lol! Sounds like a stapler!

  • OH MY GOD. that's quiet. :))))

  • i have seen all your vids, they are all awesome.thanks for posting them.

  • sweeeeeeet i need one myself

  • very very nice

  • thats crazy sweet i would love to have one for my .22

  • good job!

  • i first thought that he might have turned the sound down on the video to make it seem like it was rele quiet, but then i heard a bird chirp and damn, it was louder than the rifle.

  • dude.. you are my hero haha

  • nice

  • nice dude

  • I would reall love to know what are the FPS coming out of it with the short barrel and the suppressor

  • awesome

  • wow,great job!

  • purty cool

  • wholly shit

  • What's the difference between suppressor and silencer?

  • @bratwa nothing their just two different names

  • This is amazing. I have to do this to my .22

  • sounds like a bb gun

  • Damn! The only thing you even hear is the mechanics of the gun.

  • That rocks!! would love to build one myself on the new Ruger 22 rifle

  • this is fantastic!!!!! I can`t belive it!

  • You don't need hearing protection for that ?

  • Nice job,I think I heard the action more than the round.

  • that is a damn fine silencer

  • Wow, with the silencer it is quieter than my Crossman 10-pump bb gun.

  • bad ass! that thing whispers death! Nice job

  • @BokioOHawkEye you're kidding right?

  • How different is the 10/22 sbr from a 10/22 charger? Also, what kinda of groups can you get and at what ranges?

  • @DirtyFrigginHarry 10/22 Charger is a pistol. The difference is the stock. If didn't pay the $200 tax with barrel length it would VERY illegal

  • Oh my god I want one! Nice well built silencer quieter then my benjamin air rifle lol

  • would love to have one of those for my GSG

  • Wow

  • @thegamechiken or you could just buy a 9mm lol

  • dude nice work that gun looks like a monster and u can barely hear it lol and i like that stock looks really good

  • @BokioOHawkEye The short barreled rifle is indeed real - this is not a paintball gun.

  • @fitzimoto It was a standard 10/22 barrel, I shortened and threaded it on my lathe.

  • Very nice. If you dont mind me asking, what did you use to thread your caps and body? What pitch? Thanks

  • @JanitorMan432 1.125" x 32, if I remember right. I used my lathe.

  • how much would you charge for one. message me

  • @thecomedian556 No. I don't make these for sale.

  • Dude, that is awesome!!!! I live in Canada, so no chance of getting one, but it would be deadly for Gophers!!!!

  • How is the acuracy by distance?

  • with a 10 1/2 inch barrel on the 10/22 will the rounds still make the sonic crack?

  • @Forbidenangel0 Yes. I have had sonic crack all the way down to 4.25" barrel with CCI MiniMag ammunition as used in this video.

  • so quiet i could have mistaken it for a camera picture click

  • Супер!

  • @jurgenmg42 Спасибо. :)

  • throw on a 25 round mag and you got it made

  • @bigd5000100 I have a few 25rd TacInv mags. Good, but pricey.

  • hahah "its not a bb gun!" its accually quieter than a bb gun

  • Nice work man!! I been wanting to machine down a 10/22 with a bull barrel and make an integrated silencer that matched the diameter of the barrel. Yours is pretty sweet.

  • That's an impressive silencer. I would advise anyone to be very careful about making one until they've check out their state law. In California, that firearm would be a felony to possess. The possession of the silencer alone would be a felony . (Cal.. Pen. Code 12500, 12520). I'm not sure what the federal laws are.

  • do u need a license for a supressor?

  • @Krazyazn881 No, but you do need a one-time tax stamp per silencer to legally own it as a private civilian. Each of my silencers, short barreled rifles, short barreled shotguns, and my grenade launcher needed a tax stamp. :)

  • I got a question. Can you make desert eagle magnum with a silencer? that would be so so, cool. If not its ok.

  • @TheBastered I could, but I have no interest in such a ridiculous item. I briefly owned a Desert Eagle in .44mag, but soon sold it - it was awfully picky about what rounds were fed through it, loud, heavy recoil, and it's just a huge gun for no reason.

  • Now just use the .22 sub sonic ammunition and it will probably sound like nothing.

  • @nealongreene This was subsonic ammunition due to barrel length.

  • subsonic ammo?

  • @theswimer419 Due to the barrel length, yes.

  • sweet :)

  • ill take one

  • just wow

    u made it ?

  • @alex1zxz20101 Yes, I made it on my lathe.

  • all i could hear was the action cycling, wish i had the time + money to do that

  • job well done

  • ILLEGAL... ILLEGAL.... GREAT VIDEO! But , as a thought, dont you think, even though YOU are not IN THE VIDEO, that the government knows who you are? I hope people dont ever NEED to defend themselves with those. But YOUR government is VERY ODD.... to say the least. GOD BLESS you all.

  • @269dremer Silencers are perfectly legal in most US states, just as legal as the gun is.

Anyways, good job OP, I can barely hear that thing! I want one for my .17hmr...

  • @boostinbildo That firearm and the silencer are illegal in California.

  • @boostinbildo Thank you. Unfortunately, .17hmr is supersonic by the very design (if you were to fire subsonic .17hmr, the performance would by abysmal) so an effective silencer is limited to simply mitigating the muzzle blast. I experimented on them for a while, before simply giving up and moving onward to other designs and ideas, as if I were to want the performance of .17hmr I'd prefer to use 5.7x28 or 5.56x45.

  • @269dremer If you look at the notes he claims to have the proper paperwork done for this, making it legal. For defense most people don't care about how loud a gun is. The louder the better if you're getting mugged I say. A suppressor is something that lets you do some target practice without pissing people off that live a mile away. In my opinion they should be less regulated as they cost some money and a criminal is not likely to spend the extra cash to be a videogame superninja.

  • @269dremer Yes, it is indeed legal as has been pointed out.

  • @elitearbor you have to pay that tax though.

  • @269dremer

Did you not even read the description? He paid for his NFA stamps so no, it isn't illegal. It's exactly the opposite of illegal....what's the word...... oh yea, legal!

  • hear what?

  • silencer is too shiney lol. you can see that gun from a mile away before you hear it.

  • nice made man,

    respect from belgium here :D

  • sounds like alittle bb gun good job man

  • make a vid on how to make the silencer

  • yeesh that is one quiet son of a gun

are you sure you're not a ninja?

  • wait so its a Ruger 10/22 with 5 1/2 barrel and a stock. Im pretty sure thats illegal without a permit. but its still pretty cool

  • i want one can you make me one!!!!!!

  • no se si entendes español, pero ¿cuantas balas lleva el magazine?

  • Hm, would it sound a bit louder if you were listening from downrange?

Also, great video. It's nice that there aren't any other guns going off and making it hard to hear. :)

  • i want one:(

  • Its not a silencer I'ts a suppressor.

  • You sir are THE MAN......You should get free lapdances for the rest of the year....This is the first thing im buying when I get the money...Only longer barrel..

  • Nice Set up!

  • wow! so you built it? what equipment did you use?

  • Good job with the supressor.

  • My soft airgun makes a lot more noice than that

  • 1:08 Ricochet! (listen carefully)

  • Holy crap! That was completely silent. Nice job.

  • You are not fooling anyone! Supersonic rounds fired with no silencer and subsonics with it? what the fuck man!

  • "Like" only for this 10/22 appearance

  • Damn, that's nice bro !

  • sounds like a airsoft gun

  • NICE SILENCER!

  • Awsome! What a difference. Good job!

  • Badass

  • nice

  • awsome watched this video about 10 times and counting its so cool

  • HEY THAT SUPPRESSOR IS HELLA GOOD!!! CAN YOU POST A VIDEO ON HOW YOU MADE IT?!?!

  • there is a lot of tax stamps

  • That's Neat! People spit louder than that.

  • one word, respect!!!

  • thats the coolest thing ever. literally

  • Instead of shortening the barrel, you could have also purchased subsonic ammunition.

lol, the suppressor is longer than the barrel.

  • @Zodiark1593 The reason I shortened the barrel is not so that all rounds are subsonic - the ammunition I use is MORE expensive than subsonics, and to shorten the barrel this far I had to pay an additional tax. What I wanted out of the rifle and folding stock is a .22lr that I can have in my jacket pocket while hiking and camping, for which I also own a commercial .22 silencer that is significantly shorter (about 5.5") and lighter - but easier to damage and, yes, louder. :)

  • @elitearbor ..but how did u build the silencer ...can u explaine..? ...awsome video !!
