Umm...You know this how? Firstly, the offspring/new strain of a virus is almost always stronger than the original. Second, most viruses thrive better in a living host. The way I see it, the fact that Heller is a living human that was infected is what would make him stronger.

In fact, he's looking for a reason to actually want to join humanity. But based on what Radical said a while back, something will happen in the comic that'll make Zeus give up on humanity. Though it makes you wonder why he'd start a new infection in Manhattan. It's a bad spot.

Yup. The newest comic (The Anchor) details what Zeus has been doing for the past 14 months. Only the first part has been released, but things aren't exactly looking up for Zeus. With the way things are going, I'm just going to assume that his new Love Interest will die, or find out what he is and reject him.

I think Prototype 1 is hell lot better. Maybe because of the darker underlying tone of the graphics and story line. Prototype 2 looked a bit too colourful and flashy to me.

Zeus wasn't infected by a "bitch research company". Alex Mercer made the virus, then got killed after releasing the virus. So technically, Mercer infected his own corpse.
Now that's debatable, since there's plenty of living organisms that are weaker than their predecessors. Viruses just get stronger and stronger so they can keep infecting things. Other things (humans, animals, and such) evolve to suit their environment. So unless the requirement for their environment (heh...) is to become stronger, they won't.
@Thanatos606 That depends on what your definition of "strong" is. If you mean physical strength, then yes. But intelligence, adaptability and more complexity in biological organisms larger than viruses seems to be growing through the eons. Maybe it's just me, but I believe birds are more evolved and complex than the animals they came from (dinosaurs, I believe). The same could be said of mammals and their predecessors. However, the changes are only notable with millions of years in difference.
The evolution I'm talking about is the ability to fight/kill any threats. Most human, animal, etc, paths of evolution pertains to survival, not fighting.
I think that Alex would proberly beat Heller as he has had quite alot more time with the shape shifting ability and will have more experience. Even though Heller has better looking and more powerfull abilitys he has not had a lot of time to train with it.
I'm sorry. It's a strange idea, but there is very little story continuity between the first and second game and I'm trying to make sense of it. If there isn't a major plot twist, then this will probably be more like a reboot than a true sequel.

I have a suspicion that the devs might be deceiving us. Isn't it strange how they decided to trash Alex? Perhaps Pariah had a mental link to Elizabeth Greene, his mother, and was aware that Zeus/Alex killed her. Pariah was special, because he could create runners "with a touch". What do we see happen to James Heller? Is it not plausible that Pariah somehow escaped captivity, disguised himself as Alex Mercer and infected James Heller knowing that he would hunt the real Alex?
@BoS341 I saw the video, he just said that the games ends with Mercer unleashing the virus, it doesn't say that he infected Heller because he wants him to help spread the virus. So, I spologize but I still retain my point. Besides, I don't think he needs any help even if he is spreading the virus. Interesting video though. :)

My sentiments exactly! What really irritates the hell out of me is that the devs didn't even try to come up with anything better than this absurd "kill off Alex Mercer" scenario, eventhough Pariah is still alive and he is still far more powerful than Zeus/Alex Mercer.
Mercer is kinda cool in the trailer and he can do all this crazy shit, but he's a psychopathic murderer, terrorist and monster who is responsible for the death of Heller's Family and releasing the virus. Whereas, on the otherhand Heller has more reason and actually has a purpose and you can feel empathy for him. He is a lot more brooding, and in Prototype 2 you wan't to hate Mercer so much for being an evil fuck. I must say that Mercer is cooler, but Heller's a guy who actually has reason.

You gotta remember to count the WOI targets. They're 'canon killings'. Meaning that no matter what the player did, those people were definitely killed in the Prototype storyline. And there's not really much to suggest that most of those guys were evil. So that means Zeus did (most likely) go around killing quite a few perfectly innocent people. And I'm only counting in-game murder. In the comics, Zeus openly kills innocent people if he decides to.

I think that Alex would proberly beat Heller as he has had quite alot more time with the shape shifting ability and will have more experience. Even though Heller has better looking and more powerfull abilitys he has not had a lot of time to train with it.

I'm sorry. It's a strange idea, but there is very little story continuity between the first and second game and I'm trying to make sense of it. If there isn't a major plot twist, then this will probably be more like a reboot than a true sequel.

I have a suspicion that the devs might be deceiving us. Isn't it strange how they decided to trash Alex? Perhaps Pariah had a mental link to Elizabeth Greene, his mother, and was aware that Zeus/Alex killed her. Pariah was special, because he could create runners "with a touch". What do we see happen to James Heller? Is it not plausible that Pariah somehow escaped captivity, disguised himself as Alex Mercer and infected James Heller knowing that he would hunt the real Alex?

@BoS341 I saw the video, he just said that the games ends with Mercer unleashing the virus, it doesn't say that he infected Heller because he wants him to help spread the virus. So, I spologize but I still retain my point. Besides, I don't think he needs any help even if he is spreading the virus. Interesting video though. :)

Mercer is kinda cool in the trailer and he can do all this crazy shit, but he's a psychopathic murderer, terrorist and monster who is responsible for the death of Heller's Family and releasing the virus. Whereas, on the otherhand Heller has more reason and actually has a purpose and you can feel empathy for him. He is a lot more brooding, and in Prototype 2 you wan't to hate Mercer so much for being an evil fuck. I must say that Mercer is cooler, but Heller's a guy who actually has reason.

@TheMarkBullen1 Eh, perhaps... but I can't hate Mercer. I never really played him or saw him as an evil guy. Honestly, it was all up to the player if they wanted to run around gibbing civvies. And the player is going to have the exact same options when they're Heller.

You gotta remember to count the WOI targets. They're 'canon killings'. Meaning that no matter what the player did, those people were definitely killed in the Prototype storyline. And there's not really much to suggest that most of those guys were evil. So that means Zeus did (most likely) go around killing quite a few perfectly innocent people. And I'm only counting in-game murder. In the comics, Zeus openly kills innocent people if he decides to.
