The Hawkins family helped me praise my way through some of the toughest times in my teenage years and now I just praise God for those times!!!! Thank You Lord for directing them... thank you Hawkins family for being willing vessels...
this brings back memories for me....i was such a bad kid when i was a teen...my mom would go to work, and i'd sneak and play her album of these very beautiful songs...about a year later, i got saved....thank you, mom..i miss you...tony.....
This is remind me of the little brother Little (Terry Thigpen) I love him so much, I miss and love them in my heart, "Oh God" thank's for being merceiful both of my brother's who have passed. Now they will be in peace, God bless them. Terry must have play this more than the tear's I shead when he died! I pray God is with you all!
I am 31 years old and these are the gospel songs that I grew up listening to and I found that it reached multitudes of people. When we got the oppurtunity to visit other churches I anticipated hearing the choirs. Don't get me wrong SOME of the music today beautiful but, what is all this Hip Hop and R&B gospel....As I recall God does not change for anybody (you can't change God ) to draw a multiitude of souls, we change for him.
Another song from Love Alive II that taught my choir how to sing back in the day. The song is being led by a strong soprano named Frances Pye. Walter wrote it, and I THINK that's him on piano. (Sometimes he and Edwin will take turns as Director of Choir).
The soloist Frances Adams continues to sing unto the Lord. She is a member of the Center Of Hope Community Church, Oakland, CA Bishop Ernestine C. Reems Church
This song was my introduction to the anointing of Bishop Walter Hawkins. I've been hooked every since. Love his music. RIP Bishop Hawkins. Prayers and condolences to your family.
I remember going to love center and I always loved this song. Sing Frances- I have no idea where she is today but I hope she's still singing for the lord. Walter was my pastor for a while, tramaine, Edwin, Lynette- everybody was like family- miss you Walter but God called and you had to answer- I understand-love you much
Give God the Praise!!!! I remember singing this wonderful song back in the day of my church choir!!! I know I'm NEVER ALONE because I don't have to worry anymor!!!
"And SURELY I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (matthew 28:20, niv)
GOD HIMSELF has promised to be with us ALWAYS (and that's a mighty long time!), so why must we fear or feel as though we are all alone? HE is faithful to HIS EVERY WORD! HIS WORD does not return to HIM void (empty, no use), so be encouraged and just know that there will be times you may feel lonely, but U R NVR ALONE!
try hearing one of my church choirs from UHOP (united house of prayer) singing this song, it will bring the holy ghost out of you truly...you will be consumed of the holy spirit! i love it! we would sing it at an upbeat pace but most of the times like this. Its a comforting song!
i just love this song it reminds me of the days of my youth when sis Audrey Harris sang this song in our #2 choir and boy did she sing this song i just love it and it lets me know this day that im never alone jesus walks with me through the storm.
Oh yes how well do I remember this song. There was a sister in my choir use to sing this song, when she sung this song she would tear it up,I'm still feeling the spirit. Thanks for the upload.
i know what you mean back in the day our lead singer for this song was sis Audrey Harris and she really sang this song everytime i hear it it reminds me of her boy could Audrey sing.
