What are you energy costs, per mo. and do save rain water from the roof for water to flush toilets . And looks great how is the rain run off in a heavy storm at the back of the lot where the sod is at the back, any erosien yet ? Are u going to add solar panels and a small wind turbine to back up power at outage times ? Very Nice finishes and layout , BRAVO !!jb

#2. It is probably a lot more durable then traditional house construction.

#3. modular. almost like lego's. as your family grows you can all way's add on easily!

What kind of floor do you have on the first level? Just wondering if it's terrazzo? Didn't see a heating, venting, and air conditioning system. Are you installing that later? @jtimjordan Hi, In the first level the floor is Porcelain Tile, we dont have seasons here, so there is no need to install a heating system therefore im going to install an airconditioning in the master room for the hot days.

@nuvolare81 . The external walls are covered with cement fiber boards. This plaques are finished with water proffing comercial products, and paint.

The cost for building this house here in Colombia (South America) is around US$ 50,000
