It's funny, but I thought Gitmo was a prisoner of war prison. Meaning we send captives. If we can't take prisoners during military engagements, we are left with the option of either letting them go and having them continue to kill us, or kill them.

I did not catch him on NBC - I don't watch much TV- especially "news". Mr. Obama WILL be caught in his web of lies. I ache that he will forever represent a class of Americans as the 1st African American President. I saw him for the first time during the 2004 Demo Nat'l Convention. I can't believe I actually thought, "Now there's a Democrat I could vote for." I was mesmerized by the pied piper - not for long though - just a few times viewing him in congressional hearings etc changed my mind.

I am stuck, on one hand I am overwhelmingly proud of President Obama being our first black president, something that is long over due, but on the other hand, as a conservative, I hate his DB polices and hypocrisy.  I fear the direction that the USA is going. I don't agree with the making us safer by making us defenseless, or nationalizing everything in sight. I like both Dems and Reps as conservative independent, but I cannot get behind these new policies of Obama's. They are dangerous.
