  • I cherish both singers for their uniquely fine voices, BUT the roles should've TOTALLY BEEN REVERSED!!!

  • Bravi! They just don't sing like this anymore. Hermann Uhde, to my ears, is short of voice and range and has some trouble with singing the correct pitch at times, but the characterization is dead on and he makes a terrifying Inquisitor. Hines is in the pantheon of my favorite singers. The only bass that these ears have enjoyed hearing since Pinza. He is greater than great and if I had to be a bass, I would want to be Jerome Hines! Thanks for this electrifying performance!!!
