  • At 3:22 when he is describing the condom, I would of burst out laughing.

    "ULTRA FORTIFIED" ahaahhahaah

  • They're dependencing on must their own life if take to pregnancy too.

I can't study anymore beside language.

No thanks everybody & try for 4're.

  • A good Friend has 3 non- violent non drug related felonies, will the screening process deny him? Saving and planning for the trip, there is material online stating that the ffl branch may be shut down for lack of funds. Is ther any truth to this? Thanks for anyone who can respond. Best to you.

  • @imgonnaletyoutellit

    1. If he is searched via Interpol they will deny him, otherwise: nobody knows.

    2. No, that's not the truth

  • @imgonnaletyoutellit if he wasn-t convicted of drug dealing or murdering someone they wont care... you stole a car they will see it as a asset.

  • @Kolwezi1978

I'm shocked, deeply saddened by the news of his passing. He truly was a great man and i'm glad to have had the honour of serving under him. Do you know if his wife still lives at their last address ? I feel compelled to write her a letter.

    Reste en paix mon Colonel

  • @joey691d

    I sent you a message.

  • I read the leigionaires wear the uniform at all times until their 5 years are up? is this true

  • @walkertexasranger33

No, it's not so strictly any more during the last years. But the one or other Regiment(s Commander) think about to introducing it again. So the new Colonel of the 2e REG (2nd foreign Engineer Regiment) in St. Christol

  • @Kolwezi1978 do you know how easy it is to join the Legion presently?

  • @walkertexasranger33

What kind of answer do you expect? :-) "Oh it's not easy" Do you feel 'better informed' now? ;) It is so "easy" like it was in the past and so "difficult" like it will be in future. The only(!!!) way to find it out is going to Aubagne ...and take a chance

  • @Kolwezi1978 By easy I meant are they hiring, I have military experience and was wondering how rigerous their selection process. Are they hiring anyone that comes in for a job but they just weed them out through testing and basic training? But I don't feel like spending a few thousand dollars in plane fair to find out that I've wasted my time and 5 minutes of theirs.

  • @walkertexasranger33

Do you already know the recruiting site of the foreing legion (15 languages)?

Fu**, I can't post any link here (do not work) so I use this style ;-) :

    worldwideweb(dot)legion-recrute(dot)com(slash)en(slash)

If there are any more questions left, feel free to contact me again.

  • Just a few words to the testing system: The tests begin at 1 of 2 preselection-centers (Paris or Aubagne) where you have been carried to from the information post (12 all over France) you have applied. You can also apply directy at one of the pre-selection centers There a the first medical- and security checks. If you pass them you will get your pre-contract and carry to the CSI at Aubagne, where is the main-selecion (sport test like cooper-test, tractions,..; deep medical and security-check.

  • @walkertexasranger33

If you pass that also, you get your main contract for 5 years and go to basic training to castelnaudary (4th foreign regiment) for 4 month. And the end of this, its your last chance to quit the legion legally (without desertion). If you stay, you go to one of the combat regiments.

  • @Kolwezi1978 Yes i've visited it, but I couldn't find any specifics on if there are any openings.

  • @walkertexasranger33

What do mean with "openings" exactly? Sorry, my english is not the best.

  • @Kolwezi1978 like hiring quotas for personnel in different branches or trades

  • @walkertexasranger33

Ah, O.K. At the Moment 1of 8 gets a contract. The exact choice criteria are "secret". The best chances have guys not older than 30. Important is the also the motivation and the civil profession. Sometimes they search more specialists in -for example- electrics or cooks. Last year they are looking for a lot of guys, they are civil nurses. The criteria changes sometimes eyery few month, like they need it. They get always the best 12-15% of every applicant course...

  • @Kolwezi1978

...so it depends on, how "good" (motivated, educated, trained...) the others in "your course" are. As a healthy european, US-american, Australian or Kiwi with some military experiance you have good chances. They are getting better if they need your civil profession. The last decision makes the selecion commission. Surprises included. The decision which regiment (Infantry, Parachuters, Cavalry, Assault-Engeneers) you will be send to -if you get a contract- is after basic training.

  • @Kolwezi1978 thanks for the info bro. 12-15 percent of students on course? or 12-15 percent of people who apply before basic?

  • @walkertexasranger33

    @walkertexasranger33

    Those who apply before basic.

If you are on course ( the 4 month basic training at 4th Regiment) you are already "in". From this time on (until the end of basic training) only a really serious injury or illness could be a reason you must go ( in french: "inapte medical definitif"), or -of course- (anytime) if you beat up your captain or something or you are absent illegally.

  • Do they provide condoms to their men lol, being serious here

  • Comment removed

  • @walkertexasranger33 listen to wat he says at 3:16 man lol

  • Comment removed

  • Cut himself shaving? damm what did he use a chainsaw? Well everyone has got stories. I can only guess about his

  • If the Jungle don't get you, the Legion will get you,If the Legion don't get you, I will get you I don't know which is worse.

  • Hans Eberle was my company commander at Castel. What a top bloke !!

  • @joey691d

He was a great and honorable man who made it from a "simple" 2nd Class Leg. up to Lt.-Col. After his time as "Regiment's Security Officer" in Guyane he became Chief of the "Bureau instruction Emploi" at 1st foreign Regiment in Aubagne, became Lt.-Col. in 1999 and Deputy-Commander (2nd in Command) of the "DLEM" - Regiment (Détachement de Légion Etrangère de Mayotte) In between he was Operations Officer at 2nd REI and also 2nd in.C. for a short time. Unfortuanally he died in 2010.

  • Hans Eberle was my company commander at Castel. What a top bloke !!

  • wow he is very detailed on 3:23

  • Old town chemist's condom specifications:

    - ultra fortified!

    - double reinforced!

    - integrated carbon filter

    - guaranteed impervious

    - 1.6 millimeters thick

    A veritable inner tube!

YOU OVER THERE >> DO YOU UNDERSTAND?!

  • Cool... i want a condom now (-: It will strike fear into my enemies (-:

  • 'If you dive into the water and you dont know whaTS IN THERE, you could die.'

Wells that a pretty pathetic statement considering Legionnaires would be ordered to dive into the water by NCO's who have no idea whats in the water.

  • Shame about the quality, but very interesting to watch

  • This is where people go to hell in order to achieve redemption.

  • @Fred111000 god and hell don't exist.

  • dude is a condom is not a rifle

  • @colombiano4420 maybe that how he talks about everything "this is my daughter! she's six years old! 75 centimeters tall!"

  • @farbuttnear hahahahahaha

  • No dispect towards the Legion, I can't understand someone joining military of country they never lived or have no culture or ethic background to them.

  • @ScotteDio Back in history, many joined in because they were abandoned by their countries or they were criminals, whom were looking for new identity. French Legion offered new identity, like the video said, and French citizenship. Well, now days, in my opinion, people join in because romanticization from a novel or other popular cultures.

  • @ScotteDio some people CANT join their military for outrageous reasons, i know i had to get an army doctor to do a private examination on me before the army would even talk to me. They still wont let me go to the medical testing center.

  • @scaryalbino198 Try all branches & try score over 50 on ASVAB, usually recruiters try avoid non-minories who score less 50 (because minority bonus). Most military ratings non-combat, MEPS is trying cut future medical cost because current economic problems.

  • @ScotteDio i scored a 71 its not like im stupid or deformed or out of shape my vision meets the requirements for combat, i just have albinism. Apparently you need to have pigment for uncle sam to say you can get shot at.

  • @scaryalbino1987 In the NAVY, if you're over 6'6" ...you can't join, but you're under 4'10"...you still join. I don't remember any reading or hearing any about albinos.

  • @ScotteDio its not any military service its MEPS... they wont even return my emails.

  • @scaryalbino1987 I know that, I am retire from military, I served as MA in Navy, spend time on Guatanamo, former Yugoslavia & Afghanistan. I also done some admin. work, I never heard anything on albinos, its all new to me.

  • @ScotteDio its all new to meps too they are just making stuff up no one has been able to show me anything on paper. thats why im considering the FFL they test you face to face and there is no bullshit.

  • @scaryalbino1987 It could be they cut most military funding, MEPS have filter out any addition cost in the military. Right now, theres debate TRICARE or lowering our salaries.

  • I think it's bullshit that the Army/Marines are more likely to disqualify a person diagnosed with depression than a convicted fucking felon. None of that medical bullshit mattered in the past (WW2 for example) so does that really make you any less of a soldier WILLING to fight? It's all about fucking politics IE the Fort Hood shooting. In short, fuck the US Army criteria for disqualification. I'm going FFL.

  • @go0fy11137 or you could just lie...

  • @go0fy11137 Army has huge gang problems. I am former Navy's MA, I had huge problem with Marines going crazy (domestic problem, drugs etc..) & one case almost killed MA, some these guy return somewhat damage. I do majority felons cause problems. Just Army avoid, Army has lowest standards of all military branches, if you can't go Delta Force, Ranger or Greenie.

  • Comandant is a caracter

  • And for those that are challenged to comprehend what I just said, I mean no disrespect to either force. Just pointing out that weakness in other thing is strenght in other.

  • Marines vs Legionnaires? Legionnaires are no doubt tougher, more driven and deadlier. But Marines are more human. They do goofy shit when they're bored, throw stupid jokes at each other and otherwise more friendlier. Legionnaire is just a piece of steel and ice with clothes on.

If ones country is invaded, would you rather have invader that has as much emotion as a piece of granite or the one that can throw some lip?

Short: Legionnaires are not an occupation force. Marines are.

  • @TheOldSS I'm told the Marines don't do much in the way of occupying either. They go in, destroy what needs be destroyed, kill whatever needs killing, and then the Army does the occupying. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm not saying that to snub or disrespect Marines. I thought that was the way it worked.

  • @chrismc410 Dunno, I'm Finn, not Yank. Don't know for sure, but as for footage goes, Marines patrol the streets of Iraq and Afganistan as much as other forces. To me that pretty much equals occupying force.

  • @TheOldSS out of curiosity - are you or have you ever served in any military capacity? I'm an active duty Marine, that's why I'm curious. Have you had any experience working with Marines?

  • @Zombpocalypse I'm Officer-In-Training in Finnish Defence Forces, and currently I have zero experience working with other forces. But possibly in the future I will get deployed to Afganistan as I have EOD-training and they are "hot stuff" in Finnish peacekeeping missions. Maybe then I will get experience working with other armed forces. Kinda looking forward to it.

  • it sounds like he is talkin about a new super weapon when he describes the condoms

  • @farbuttnear I laughed my ass off when I heard this.

  • 1.6 mm thick, thats minimum tread depth in uk for a vehicle tyre...shizam u wudnt feel anything lol

  • ULTRA FORTIFIED DOUBLE REINFORCED

  • So they use inner tubes of bicycles for condom. That's really safe!

  • Looks like hell

  • I definitely wasn't expected the commander's lecture and emphasis on condom strength and construction.

  • Commandant Eberle Hans..sacré figure! super Officier qui a commence comme simpele soldat (Legionaire)

    Respect!

  • 1.6 inch condoms?! What the hell, are they made of leather?!

  • he,s funny

  • ULTRA BLANDE!

  • mm. not inches. and it was humour....

  • @will1835

    I know. Mine was too

  • I just concluded my four years in the Marines and after e-mailing with a Legionnaire, I am included to believe you are 100% correct, Cansseco!

  • Respect for saying that dude, so true, these lads seem to wipe the floor with the paras, marines etc

  • That may be true, but there are many different jobs and different units in any service, so it is impossible to say one is better or worse based on a single experience. Not to mention, every person handles an experience differently...one man's mountain is another's anthill.

  • Thanks Tube for your comment. And you are right, just because I see a mountain and the Legionnaires seem to climb their mountains with the ease as if it was an anthill, doesn't mean they are better. I can only go on experiences I had as a Marine and what I learned from the Legionnaire I exchanged words with. You never know, maybe other Legionnaires disliked it so much as I disliked the Marines.

  • the marines are pussies compared to the legion

  • I'm Brazilian, would my own Government turn me in to the French authorities if I deserted the FFL? lol wtf

  • @umbrum2 lol true

  • @brenoribeiro2007

You bet your ass they would. You basically turn your back on your country and who you were by joining the Legion, and your ass belongs to them.

  • lol

  • @brenoribeiro2007 Yes they will.

  • People why are we argueing so much? Winning an arguement on youtube is like winning the para-olympics. Yeah you won, but you are still retarded!

  • This is the best comment on youtube.

Winning an arguement on youtube is like winning the para-olympics.

Very smart. my friend very smart

  • @brenoribeiro2007 You're obviously the retard the para olympics and the special olympics are very different things.

    Fucking ignorant twat.

  • @Veetveet3 I was just horsing around, don't get so worked up...

  • @brenoribeiro2007 thats so old bro

  • hmmm. not sure about this lot. why would you have to do a runner and assume another identity? a bit sinister i think. almost mercenaries really. theyre a hard bunch but very suspicious. if you want to be elite join the parachute reg or the royal marines or the usmc or the 101 airborne.

  • 101 airborne is not elite all it is is a regular u.s. army soldier that has to do five parachute jumps. I would agree with you on the others though.

  • cant even here wtf they say

  • An MBA Degree is "Basket Stuff?" Could you make my pizza with a little more cheese. and stop texting you girlfireind Biiiaatch!

  • this is the most elite solders in the world.... it doesnt matter if they are fighting under the french flag, most legion soldiers arent french...

  • yes, but they serve the french flag and the french vision of democracy..

  • ...sigh...

  • The FFL is only for REAL MEN. I guess you should be a fuckin lazy redneck american you would not even make a 5 min basic training. Those men come to the FFL voluntary and not everybody has a business man degree, all choices are open. And please stop your shit cause France offers to those you come in a second chance in their life, something they want to prove to themselves, or new challenge to some. Those men are train like real men and not like puppet to invade and kill civilian people.

  • I respect your passion! LOL! I just got nuthin! Just nuthin!

  • dude im american, but u say the most idiotic things, who cares! the entire world is diferent, thats what makes it uniq, europeans- americans, same thing were all humans. but the thing is u have a big mouth dude.

so put your money where your mouth is.

havent u noticed that nobody agrees with what u say. now i know that this doesnt matter, i also could care less if people agree with me or not. but none of us have the right to question others. we DONT have 2 understand them just accept them.

  • @hammeredwappered dude america is like the little child of Europe... Not so long ago, u were still hanging on europes tits!

So and by the way sorry for pissing u off... us euros are just so shitty... its just that u can find anything here in Europe.. culture, beautiful lands, variety, beautiful women, and the FFL.

  • will knocked knees stop me going into legion even i can run the 2800?

  • what happend to the guys neck in this video? did someone do that to him?

  • im 20 year old! can i join FFL

  • Of course you can. I will start serving in the legion next year, after serving 5 years in the Austrian army. I'm pretty sure it's gonna be the roughest time of my whole life, but if you make it, you're part of the elite, which is a thing you can be VERY proud of.

  • if you dont know the answer to that, then obvioulsly not!

  • Are you out of your fucking mind? Go to a University! What are you gonna do with the job training from this jackassed crap.....be a security guard at a strip mall? Get your head out of your ass! I'm serious! This clown act will train you for nothing! You'll get older and the reward for this nonsense is you get to be a French National...Well, might as well trade those years of your life for a career walking dogs for a living. Get in School! They don't want people who can think!

  • I dont have money for university... i finish high economic school... im eastern european :S but not in EU :/ we are born screwed...

  • missed the point entirely. well done, sir.

  • Fuck, I gotta get in shape, because i really want to do a few years service

  • Okay, here is my question. I am from the USA how hard is is to learn French? I already know spanish. I just want to know before I spend money to go to France and try to get into the Legion. I am in a bad place I need to get my head right and get out of this rut here in the US.

  • french is a romantic language like spanish so the structures of both languages are very similar since you know spanish it shouldnt be hard

  • You will learn it in the legion. Just learn common phrases and pronounciation before you leave. Don't worry. You will learn the language to speak fluently.

  • French vocabulary has many same words with English, it's just that they pronounce them differently. If you live in a French speaking area, you can learn enough to live by in about a month.

  • Just buy a dictionary, they will give you a team mate who knows french, and you'll have (I think, but I may be wrong) 3 months or so to learn the basics. If you get a good team mate then you can learn very fast.

  • Don't encourage him! Would you rather have an MBA or a fucking silly assed "Kepi?" I know which one gets you eating dog food when your 60.

  • You should be able to. If your eye sight is corrected at 20/20

  • That guy who is speaking in that bar seems to be Dutch with the accent he is speaking with.

Anyway, the Regiments Adjudants explain about condoms is great :)

  • high tech ultrablinded 1.6mm, i couldn't use that

  • I love that guy's little ad for the condoms that he threw in. I wonder how much Trojan paid him for that.

  • a high tech condom o'hell yes.

  • rofl

  • Green Hell!! I gonna join!!!!

  • im thinking of joining with the ffl, can someone give me the full info for that and everything els, send it to mailbox if someone could be so nice:)

  • You sound like a fag, you're not getting in.

  • hahahaahaha

  • you sound like a fat 35 year old youtuber

  • ur thinking of joining, but you are so fucking lazy to do the research yourself? Don't join man, it will be a terrible mistake.

  • if you can't find the info on your own hand dont join the legion.

  • If i was there when he was explaining the ultra fortified super condoms i would have probably loled and got my ass kicked for it ^^

  • "the latest model of condom, ultra fortified, double reinforced, with integrated carbon filter, guaranteed impervious, 1.6 mm thick " HOLY FUCKING SHIT !! :D :D :D :D :) :) :)

  • he explained the condom like a machine gun

  • YEAH! with a veritable inner tube.

    LMAO

  • Can i join FFL if i don't have good eyesight?

  • yeah of course you just have to know basic french or ur screwed

  • pede francais colonel,only skech,seulement sketch.

  • tank condom for legionary ... lol

  • holy shit

  • the bad. Hope to have you on board with us soon Warren.

  • Other than that camp life is pretty much 100% focused on how to kill people, so again, this will not suit a big wuss from King's College, Canterbury. You learn to kill a man with everything from a plastic spoon to a set of leather driving gloves, and machine guns, rockets and sniper rifles. Kill, kill, kill becomes a 24/7 drill, drill, drill. But don't worry because you quickly become desensitised to the violence and get to sleep with more women than you ever imagined. So, the good outweighs

  • Like people do before arriving at University, for example. Some self-scarring with a maths compass should help to authenticate your stories. You will also learn French in camp, so boning up on the gard du nord and Louis Laloupe is worth the effort. If you are British, during football recreation, for example, expect to be dribbled past by silky French Algerians in the mould of Zidane whilst some Jock on your side bellows at you to 'stick it on row Z'

  • so, are they doing anything right now? Like, are they fighting in Afghanistan or Iraq or someplace?

  • if anyone is joining or joined can u let me no what the accomidation and camp life is like thanks

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah sure, I can fill you in. The accommodation is basic, your home could be jungle, swamp, or the training barracks, which are little more than a series of wooden and prefabricated huts. Food is served from 5.30am until 6.00, so you need to get up early, and most of your other meals will be taken 'on the hoof' such as a pastry or baguette. At night it is common to sing songs and swap stories, so if you have led a very sheltered life, it's wise to make some up before you arrive.

  • Once your through with basic training do you have a choice as to which unit you'll be assigned to?

  • "Choice" is probably the wrong word. After your 15 weeks basic, you are keen to get stuck in wherever there is action. Some of the guys are in Afghanistan for example with the SAS. However your conditioning and skills and aptitude after the basic training will determine where you are either needed or not. A lot get sent to the French mainland to brush up on skills like posture and haut and 'shoulder shrugging' - a very old French tradition.

  • Ddogva - It depends. Firstly you need to do very well in your basic. This will open up more options. Be clear about where you want to go from the start. And if theres space there you will get to go.

  • Homo on the loose!!! LOL Did you forget your password to your ufcsucks47 account homo???

    v

    v

    v

  • dude... surviving in the tropical rain forest is far more dangerous than u can ever imagine... yes warzone Iraq is dangerous, but nvr underestimte the mother-nature...

    peace...

  • cant hear wtf they're sayin

  • It's refreshing hearing more classic Parisian french as opposed to the more guttural french we hear over in Quebec.

  • You shut up

  • lol woah thats some serious condom hes goin on about, id like to have me one of those double reinforced unbreakable kevlar chemical + biological resistant super rubbers. Sounds like a MOP suit for your dick! LOL

  • My grandpa was in the legion during Algeria and Indochina(Vietnam) He told me how they looked out for each other even after you left the legion. I respect those guys a lot. That's what you call blood brothers..

  • To me the French Foreign Legion is one of the most honest military groups in the world.

  • where can i get more info on joining? i was planning on joining the marines but this seems like it would be better

  • check out their website. u can google it. also keepin lookin at more videos on youtube

  • I just got out of the Marine Corps, and yeah if you think you're up to it the FFL is ALOT tougher than the Marines. But from all I've seen (and I've seen alot), it also looks like more "fun", if you get my meaning. Training is harder, but you end up as a better soldier b/c of it. I myself am thinking of going to France...alot of Legioners have a military background. Look up the video here called "The Legion:Tougher Than the Rest", it gives a good background.

  • No Dishonor to the legion but i'd go for the marines, I Am considering Joining the legion but you have to understand that - In the legion you will not be able to go home to visit your family, Untill you've done whats considered as Military Regulization of position - With the marines, You get too see your family after about 10 Weeks.

I'm thinking of Joining the marines after a 5 Year contract with the legion, But to be fair, I've had problems stopping me from joining the marines at the moment.

  • Nobody gives a shit you dumb fuck. Piss off !!!!

  • Shush yourself r-tard nobody loves you, Least of all your mother - Please, refrain from posting on youtube, your a mockery to the human existence..

  • At least my life isn't so miserable that I have to join the Army to improve it !!!! I may be retarded, but at least I am not inbred like you !!!! You know what, go ahead, join the marines, I hope you get killed in combat and raped by a gay terrorist !!!!! PISS OFF !!!!!!!

  • If you didnt give a shit, you would not have replied to the comment. Your just a hate filled loser thriving for attention. Fuckwad.
