The Reggie is one of the bast basses Fender has produced in a loooong time. They are definitely the most versatile mass- produced bass on the market today. You can emulate a MM, Jazz, or P - AND go active OR passive. They are awesome !
@pnut166 hi mate, thanks for your comment. Yes it's a very nice bass, plays like butter. The EQ could be better imho: The Mid knob influences hi and low freqs too much. The bridge pup sounds a bit dull, it lacks the snappy sound I was used to with my previous (MiA 70's) Jazzbass.
Hey, great job! Anyway, hows the neck on that bass? I have the exact same one, but the action is really high, cos the neck won't tighten anymore, so its a little bowed.
Re. the neck: When I bought that bass, action was way too high, but i've been able to adjust it with big screwdriver, helping it by pushing the headstock a little. Neck is now nearly flat (0.2mm relief). Action at the 12th fret is barely 2mm on the E-string, 1,5mm on the G-string, still no buzz.. It plays like a dream.
hey men! can you believe that this bass can sound like a fender precision? looks like a mix of a jazz and p bass. sorry about my english, i'm from Chile, south american rockers !
Good Job! That's one of my favorite songs, I'm very impressed, I wish you was here or I was there with my drums and we could do some things as far as music goes, I've had other bass players try to play that song, And guess what? They couldn't do it.
thanks for the nice comment. Unfortunately we live too far apart, so jamming together would be almost impossible. Regarding the difficulty of the song, I didn't feel it that way, I learnt to play it rather quickly. Will be posting more funk soon.
that was incredible. I was almost not going to click on this video. I am glad did!

Hi and thanks for commenting.
Yes It can sound like a P-bass (with pup balance knob turned towards the P-pups). Or a mix between a Jazz and a Precision. Really versatile sound.
peace, Ed
