its called silver brumby... but it is a book searies. you should be able to order it in from your local book store

The books are AWESOME! Highly recommend. The Silver Brumby is the book the movie is based on, then there are books about Thowra's daughter, grandson, other descendents...plus tales of the other brumbies that live in the mountains :)

Do BelBel and Yarraman come inbto the series at all?

Nah, I think BelBel died of old age in the Brolgas herd (she was old anyway when Thowra was born, as told in the book, but she doesn't look it) I think she only appears in this opening.

Also, This series takes place after the brolga defeated and killed Yarraman, he appears in Thowras visions throughout the series espechially in one episode called "The Pool of Wisdom" where Thowra sees and talks to his father in the waterfall cave.

But I haven't got that ep :( I remember it though.

The Silver Brumby was written back in 1958, and the series is based off the book, so it's way older than the Lion King :)
