She spurned the pompous formality of her inlaws and actually did some good in the world hence her global popularity. Charles and Camilla brought down Diana and tarnished the Royal family. Here's the thing. I think she's under a lot of stress, and it is extremely difficult to be married, let alone to be married and part of the royal family. Now she isn't part of that anymore, and honestly when she said she didn't have her girls for Christmas for the last 15 years, now I have to say, as a mom, that's harsh. On again off again Christmas, okay, but not for 15 years. A mom and dad deserve to see their kids on holidays or at least work out an every other holiday/calendar year visit
