I also kinda wish they had different engine options here in the US.... but either way i still love my Smart ForTwo Brabus Coupe. Eventually maybe a turbo for it might fall into my budget (highly unlikely, though, at least til i pay the car off in a few years)..... but it's still the most fun car i've ever driven.... possibly more fun than my parent's '01 Pontiac Trans-Am. Keep in mind... i'm 25 years old, and about 6'3" tall... and i think the Smart has more passenger room tha most SUV's.

It's not stupid to have a small car but it is to a have a Brabus smart car. For going to work means a commute car and it doesn't have to be brabus. I drove a prius and cooper to work for the purpose you mentioned and totally don't understand a modded smart. Ok, there is electronic that won't make it tip over in NORMAL CONDITION like you mentioned, then it shouldn't be a brabus. What stupid move this was for Brabus.

I also think that it's a kind of stupid to buy a Brabus Smart, but there are always people, that want 'a more exclusiv version'

Why is it silly? The plant can't produce the cars fast enough for the American demand as it is. :)  Adding another model would be foolish now, instead it would be better to wait until demand begins to fall off in a few years, then introduce the Brabus as a way to get people interested again.

batteries dont cause acid rain buddy. acid rain is pollutants in the air from combustion of different chemical compounds (such as gasoline, diesel, coal and the likes) that meet with water particles and become mixed into the water vapor, and then when the water falls as rain there is a decreased pH in the water. car battery's acid doesn't enter the atmosphere, ever. it enters the environment when put into land fills and what not but not the atmosphere. learn your facts

The Yaris may seat four, but none of them fit well. The ForTwo fits two. So does a Vette. Not comparing the two, since the ForTwo isn't a sports car, but we don't complain about a two seater when it IS a sports car, do we?

Also, one can fit TWO ForTwos in a single parking space, or one-car garage, whereas only one Yaris can fit in that space.

Personally, though, I hope they come out with a ForTwo EV soon.

Is that right? My mistake. I thought the Yaris was essentially a re-badged version of the Toyota Echo which has good reliability reputation and aside from the unpleasant road noise was a pleasure to drive despite my 6'8" frame. I guess I was wrong there :S The last Echo I drove was an 03.

Yeah, Echos were great cars despite the noise. That is one of the few mistakes Toyota made. I will admit the Yaris is pretty cool, though.

One thing that may rectify the Yaris problem is the new Toyota IQ that is coming out. It's pretty neat looking, and it's only about 1' longer than the ForTwo. However, it doesn't seem like Toyota will be bringing the IQ here. Bummer.
