  • Gamefails :D

  • Funny thing is, this guy is a Jew born in Ukraine, living in the US and making fun of... Russia. WTF?

  • @jonhdoe1395 He said Soviet Union, which Ukraine was a part of when he was born. It was kind of like Russia's predecessor. Try using Google next time.

  • @Eaglestrike117 I was born in the Soviet Union you noob, I don't need to use google. Russia is not soviet union, it was one of its republics. That jew constantly makes fun of Russia while talking about Soviet union.

  • @jonhdoe1395 I specifically said that the Soviet Union "was kind of like Russia's predecessor." I never said it was the same thing. And I was commenting on the fact that you made it seem like you thought Ukraine wasn't ever part of the Soviet Union.

  • @jonhdoe1395 so........?

  • @JewishAfricans nothing, its still funny. It is just stupid that it enforces so many stereotypes that westerners made up.

  • @jonhdoe1395 Funny thing is, this is before Ukraine became independent.

  • in cleveland, city make fun of you....

  • i'm from columbus and i make fun of cleveland.

  • @TheDrewcifur LeBron James makes fun of Cleveland.

  • Wow, this is literally the first comedic act from the 80's I've seen that actually stands up to the comedy today.

  • @ciyean I take it you've not seen Bill Hicks or George Carlin?

  • @whiternoise2 @whiternoise2 sorry bill hicks doesn,t toward sthe end he just made antigovernment rants that had little relation to comedy.

as for carlin, a lot like hicks his last material was just angry bitter rants.

sorry but joking about the prisons breaking open and your wife and daughters being raped isn't funny, and it's certainly not edgy.

  • @syngar99 No love for Billy Connolly? Rowan Atkinson? Jasper Carrott?

  • @whiternoise2 let's be fair, rowan atkinson's humor was always more wry than bitter. AS for bill Connolly the guy drifts into angry bitter territory a lot.

i just think carlin rode his reputation fro being cutting edge far past it's validity.

did you see his last act? he was this wizened barely mobile gnome bitching on screen. If a unknown comic tried that act, he'd have been taken off stage and beaten.

people still saw him for what he USED to be, than for what he had become.

  • @syngar99 My response was particularly aimed at the 80's, both Carlin and Hicks got worse towards the end of their careers. In the 80's however, George Carlin was a good act, imo.

Is wry bad? To be honest I prefer British to American comedy any day. We're quite lucky to have a crop of very good satirists over here, shows like Bremner, Bird and Fortune and pretty much all of Radio 4's comedy. I can't stand 'one liner' comics, though, I need to be told a story while I'm laughing.

  • @whiternoise2 No, wry isn;t bad in fact that was my point.

Atkinson could take a touchy subject and make it funny withot being bitter like carlin.

i like brit comedy, but it can get old fast

  • @syngar99 Depends who you watch, I guess we like the style - i.e. very heavily based around sarcasm and irony. It's funny how blinkered your viewpoint gets though, I really don't know any good American comedians these days besides the odd couple that come here (and frankly Sarah Silverman annoys me).

  • @whiternoise2 Nope, I have. My comment stands.

  • Rodney Dangerfield is the king of comedy. Yakov Smirnoff is the Czar.

  • @Brittonsp Czar is Russian word for king aint it

  • @barf245 Exactly, They are both the top of their game.

  • In Soviet Russia, Comedy laughs at you.

  • @TheGamecube64Guy *facepalm*, you don't get the point of the Russian reversal. It isn't enough to just swap things around, the humour revolves around the Orwellian "Big Brother" institution that was characteristic of Communist Russian. Particularly the work of the KGB which monitored and took out anyone whom they thought was not demonstrating Communist ideals.

Look at the one that Stargamer19 posted a few comments before yours. That is a prime example of what the Russian reversal was about.

  • SALT!!!!!

  • It's all very important to be true to your culture, but the good thing about America is it's not just one culture, it's a blend of cultures. The "melting pot" not one culture dominates the majority of America, it's the blend of the many different ethnic cultures that makes up the American culture.

  • Are you guys seriously arguing about Yakov Smirnoff? Of all things you could argue about? Just watch the fucking video, IT'S FUNNY!

  • in Russia law Breaks you!

  • am alright caddyshack rod dangerfield is so funny he is fantastic i will vever forget him god bless

  • dangerfield is the most funniest son of a bitch i've ever heard

  • @leshager2009 It's depressing

  • 3:44

  • How much does he remind you of Borat?

  • Heh, I find it funny that people think Yakov is a real Ukrainain. He is a Jew. Jews aren't one of us.

  • Comment removed

  • @Vovk3 Some are so Ukrainian you wouldn't even know they were Jews. My grandfather had plenty of Ukrainian-speaking Jewish friends. They're rare, but they exist, true Jewish Ukrainians.

  • @Vovk3 If you're born in Ukraine.....you're technically Ukrainian.

  • @SickSchizophrenic

No, not necessarily. Blood is the real indicator. Saying that you're Ukrainian because you were born in Ukraine doesn't make you Ukrainian. Being a part of a nation goes much deeper than a piece of paper. It's this attitude that anyone can be anything that destroys the world's cultures and nations.

  • @Vovk3 I think I see where you're coming from, but the way I see it...if you're born in a country, then you have just as much of a right to be a part of that culture as everyone else. You have a right to speak the language, study the art and music, eat the food, contribute to the culture in some way, e.t.c. And with "this attitude" not everyone can be anything. For example, I'm Afghan-American, but I'm just as American as some kid whose family has been living here for hundreds of years. But it's

  • @Vovk3 not like I can just wake up and become Japanese, you know? If he has kids, then wouldn't they have Ukrainian blood flowing through them? Yeah, because their father is Ukrainian. I don't mean to be a dick, so excuse me if I offended you, but like it or not, since he's born in Ukraine, he is Ukrainian. He's a Jewish, Ukrainian stand-up comedian. You're right, being a part of a nation DOES go much deeper than a piece of paper. You also have to be a part of the history, culture, and so on.

  • он не русский сразу видно не словянской внешности

  • He making this up, what an asshole.

  • @Tumoxa89 Yah, HES the asshole.

  • hope to see him in branson next month!

  • XD kneepads

  • now he talks smack about the soviet union but really hes is wrong in america we are slowly losing our freedom not freedoms freedom we have one which is you have the right to be alive and thats it.

  • Yeah, well.... we're slowly losing our freedom in this country (USA) and we will soon resemble Soviet Russia.

  • comedy is in my blood, i wish it was in my act lol

  • KGB is watching you

  • this is not a comedian. a traitor to the motherland. he weaves a crap about the USSR. We were all free of charge. I live in an apartment that my parents got for free. We are still free medetsina. free education.

  • @comrad46 A traitor to the motherland..? You mean that pile of capitalist shit it was turned into while the people decay and starve? Yeah- Betrayal..

  • @2tur Yes, traitor! only traitors, fleeing the country. At the time when the country needs help! and who are starving? I do not. Раз ты с Украины, сам все знаешь. Еще про голодомор мне скажи. Россия финансировала Советские Республики довольно неплохо. А кто бежит в трудное время, тот не то что предатель, это крыса

  • @comrad46 Wasn't Stalin responsible for Golodmor?

  • @thesands49 Not directly. The NKVD was.

  • Russia will soon again be SOVIET

  • no shit, America makes up "freedoms', freedom shouldnt even be in plural, freedom is freedom - you are either free or not, there are no S's

  • "I thought they should enjoy a little freedom, too".

  • I read somewhere,

In Soviet Russia they rob Banks.

In North America, Banks Robs Us....

  • @stevelovesgod yeah you totally failed to emulate the format.

  • @stevelovesgod capitalist america -.-

  • @stevelovesgod in Soviet Russia there is no banks :DDDD

  • @stevelovesgod in soviet russia people own bank

in america bank own us... :(

  • @stevelovesgod In America, you use sequence correctly. In Soviet Russia, sequence use you.

  • Mother Russia!!!!! :D

  • freedom in a box, what a country.

  • Smart AND funny! Love the puns :) or maybe its easy, being an immigrant.

  • It took me awhile to get that last joke. Then I was like "OOOOHHHHH"

  • In Soviet Russia, jokes laugh at you!

  • whadda country!

  • XIIOniOokamiXII, the man is rodney dangerfield.

  • @puckman125 holy crap thank you O.o

  • whats his name!!! the guy that introduced him. its al somthing right?

  • it's like hearing borat making stand up xD

  • i think a communist russia is 5000 time better than a capitalist usa

  • @AmedesTheKing really? doomed market, no incentive to work = low quality goods. oppressive and corrupt central government, everything is rationed, you are always being watched. say one thing bad and you're off to a gulag. great system! oh, and no choice in where you're going to work.

  • @PwnforceFrank You said..."u're always being watched"…is it really so? WOW! Do you really believe that now you’re not being watched? Ha-ha-ha, look around. You said…”oh, and no choice in where u’re going to work”…is it really so? What a lot of nonsense! In reverse, what choice do you/me/us have here unless “IT IS NOT WHAT YOU KNOW IT IS WHO YOU KNOW”! In regards to gulag, yes, it was a dark part of the history, but what country/family is exempt from it? Perhaps you?

  • @PwnforceFrank You said..."corrupt central govnt", cannot agree with you more, HOWEVER...what govnt isn't corrupted, ha? You said..."everything is rationed", a beg your pardon, what’s wrong with a fixed rate? According to yours statement you’re a speculator=black marketeer=an immoral approach making profit by product multiple reselling.

  • @PwnforceFrank Before I start, I'd like to announce that I am not a Soviet/now days Russia's fan, but why to exaggerate? You said.."low quality goods"..really? How interesting. Oh, that’s why soviet school children could wear their uniforms forever coz the quality was so ”poor” that clothing wouldn't deteriorate (lol). That’s why cancer rating had a lowest mark in comparison to the rest of the world. You couldn’t kill equipment coz everything made to last.

  • @PwnforceFrank firstly i m not defending russia because i didnt go there.but i live in a capitalist country and i can tell what it is and believe me theres no difference between both them.i lived in a country which the government and the state was merciless and ruthless to the ethnic minority, no rights because of nationalism because of an authoritarian state which supported by usa and israel.i even dont talk about the poor people, the social classes the fascist army.

  • @PwnforceFrank and let me tell you something my friend:there isnt any freedom in world.the worlds just managed by two or three countries and theyre managed by two or three groups.thats all.thats fucking all.in one place capitalism and other comumunism.now com. isnt anymore.but still wars still blood.forex:syria, all of behind is usa believe me:) in my believe theres no armies, no borders, no fucking money, its too classic maybe but its the fucking same world

  • In capitalist America, white people serve the black!

  • 56 People were from USSR jokes department.

  • This wins for the Dangerfield intro.

  • This is shit for stupid american people ! in russia humor better than this shit!

  • "And I said to my self: What a country"

    Classic :D

  • In Soviet Russia, ham smokes you!

  • Thumbs up if you've seen Yakov live!!

  • in soviet russia youtube watches you

  • way to funny haha

  • One of his favorite jokes:''I didnt defect from Russia they asked me to leave.''

  • In Soviet Russia,John Lennon shoot you.

  • @axara006 Its word play such as car drive you is a statement on the russian police at the time always arresting people and also has to do with what ever the word is usually has a communist meaning also such as Marks and Marx.

  • @fizixs Because in Russia, the video 1,000,000 views YOU!

  • in soviet russia youtube comment on you !!!

  • In soviet russia Paper make you

    OHHHHH GOD!!!!

  • I am Russian moved to US - can anyone explain to me WHY is it funny, when they say, that "car drives you"? I honestly don't get it...

  • @axara006 well these "in soviet russia" jokes work like: In USA A does B, in soviet russia B does A, e.g. In USA you always find a party, in soviet russia party always finds you. Car drives you is just a nonsense resulting of these jokes.

  • @axara006 its not funny... you're normal

  • give this guy an award

  • russia must b 4 real ha?

  • he sounds like borat

  • @kalinga01 you mean borat smells like them.
