  • Why is the deacon wearing a cope?

  • I dont think its a cope

  • That is the assistant priest. Not the deacon.

  • sspx is not a society of sedevacantnism. Please take a look of their homepage, they announced they are praying for his holiness.

  • Is this a sedevacantists mass?

if it is... it is not valid... you should come to respect our pope... He is starting to change things around... so be on his side... He is a much better pope than JP 2

  • Actually, this Mass is SSPX, and you need to get the defintions strength. Validity refers to the authenticity of the sacrament (ie were the correct form, matter, and intent used to bring about the correct transmission of the sacrament, in this case were the correct matter, form, and intent used to consecrate the Sacred Host and the Precious Blood, that differs from the the term of "licit" which refers to the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass being lawful).

  • And if you study the apostolic succession of the sedevacante societies, many of them have valid Masses (which means they do have our Lord, Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity present in their tabernacles).

  • Their are even those who accept the papacy but are still Schismatic.

  • Just beacuase a Mass is not sedvacantist does not mean it is valid.

  • @dacatholicbandorgan Let's take a look shall we. Archbishop Lefebvre....ordained a valid priest, subsequently consecrated a valid bishop....he continued to ordain valid priests for the SSPX. In 1988 two valid bishops Archbishop Lefebvre as the principle consecrator and Bishop de Castroy Mayer as the co-consecrator consecrated four bishops for the SSPX, valid consecrations imposed on four men who were validly ordained priests by Archbishop Lefebvre years before.

  • @dacatholicbandorgan I ask, where do you get the notion that SSPX Masses aren't valid? For the valid celebration of a Sacrament we need proper matter, form, and intention. Well, the matter is just the stuff that is used (ie for the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass we have unleavened wheat bread and grape wine that will become the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ), that's taken care of, the form are the words used (in this case the sacred words of Consecration).

  • @dacatholicbandorgan Respond to this video...Now the intent signifies the notion that the minister does indeed intend to do what Holy Mother Church wants to be done when conferring a Sacrament. The priest need not believe in the Real Presence (which is a great tragedy, don't get me wrong), he just needs to have the intention of doing what the Church has always prescribed. Given those three instances the Mass and other Sacraments are valid.

  • Greattheophany, I invite you to study about History of the Church, to understand why Mass is celebrated in Latin; even better, I would invite you to experience it for yourself. It's wonderful to see Mass being celebrated in different parts of the world and still be able to follow and understand it (I've seen videos from Poland, Hong Kong, Mexico, etc). Thanks to God and Bless you all for providing this video.

Viva Cristo Rey, Viva La Virgen de Guadalupe!!!

  • this is the true mass, the real sacrifice of our lord jesus christ!

    thanks for this video.

(sorry for my english i´m from chile)

    GOD BLESS YOU!!

  • Excuse me? Liturigcal idolatry? Are you even Catholic? You think the Mass of all ages, the mass celebrated by St. Padre Pio, St. Pius X, St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Theresa of Avila, St. Peter Eymard, St. Maximillian Kolbe, etc. etc. is awful and idolatrous? Are these people idiots? Kyrie eleison! May the Lord give you have the intelligence of these men and women of God. Amen.
