this song i had to sing for my 5th grade graduastion with the worlds grates techer Ms.Barnnet i love and this song will always remind me of her 2006 baby
Yo neice here, using my dad's computer so it'l come up as him. Anyway I just wanted to say, So true were never far away. Thank you for posting this video, and keeping people thinking about Love, and the Lord.
whus crackin'.........I'm glad u liked it..........thanx for watching and for tha post........now, if I could sing like u, I coulda taken u'r route.........lol..........I'm typing this and playing "Kingdom Of The Jews".....and yes, always Love and Lord and Family......Love You....
since I graduated 118 years ago........well before this song anyway.......lol........I had never thought of it for a graduation..........I love tha fact that it really is timeless............
wow this song is da bom!..i love it so much..and i am so glad we are using it for our graduation.....every time i feel sad or when i am losing hope i try to listen to it so i can gain more hopez!...and trust me it really works....one of the best songz i have listen to
I coulda swore I replied to this tha other day.........I'm really gettin' old..lol......my bad.........yeah, when all that was going on last year (Clinton had just dropped out of the race and endorsed Obama) I thought about this song and thought it was perfect..........uplifting to tha fullest.....thanks for watching..........
Great job! Very creative! I love this song by Tevin Campbell which he recorded at the cute age of 11. He has so much talent. Keep up the good work and hope to see more of your videos. This song is very appropriate for today. I had written to Obama's campaign committee to incorporate Tevin's other song "One Song". It would have been so on time with what the campaign was about. It's not too late though if they used both songs. Be blessed!
thnax for tha shout............yeah, Tevin Campbell had that voice from tha jump.........and I agree with tha comment above about Q as well..........Q coulda sat down after 'Thriller' but he kept right on goin'...........
Hi I thought watch this video again because of I have not only been going through a though time but also because I'm happy to see and hear about Barack Obama being sworn in as the next president the moment I have been waiting for two months. This song has helped me get through 2008 and it will get me through 2009 and the rest of my life too.
Quincy Jones didn't write the lyrics he was responsible for the production/arrangements and Siedah Garret wrote the lyrics. it was originally a instrumental on a Brothers Johnson LP.
u'r right.......I had not gotten back to change that......Q did that with a few of his productions...."Ill Be Good To You" produced by him was again produced by him with Ray Charles and Chaka Khan.......but Siedah is a bad girl......."Do You Want It Right Now" is still one of my all time favs.......not to mention "Man In The Mirror"......thanx for tha comment......it can serve as the update I failed to provide........
This particular song that was done by Tevin Campbell was also on Q's "Back on the Block" cd. The song and the album won Grammys for both Best Song & Best Album of the Year. This was Tevin's first recording and the rest is history as they say.....This song at one time was song at many high school graduations and maybe still today as well. Q has had so many note worthy projects during his career. He is also a very talented and gifted individual. Be blessed!
I have you to thank since this song made me think positive especially for the Philadelphia Phillies the baseball team from my hometown and they finally the World Series. Now next week the election and I see Barack Obama finally winning and becoming the next president of the United States of America.
I mean last halloween a cop was killed while a robbery was happening then in May another officer dies as he was trying to stop three bank robbery suspects and last week another officer who was a female was killed in a crash which was because of a teen in a stolen suv and the officer's fuernal was yesterday too. I know things will get here in Philadelphia I also listen to this song to think postive as well.
I found out the Brothers Johnson did this song orignially since Quincy Jones produced that version as well. I thought watch your slide show again today since yesterday marked 7 years since the 9-11 attacks which I was 17 when it happened. Also I also think of this song as Obama's theme song too.
yea u'r right, it was done for them back in tha day........Q has been around for years but most ppl only think of him and MJ's Thriller.......u should check out his remake of I'll Be Good To You....another Brother's Johnson tune he did with Ray Charles and Chaka Khan........and this song, yea, if you woulda heard this the day of or after 9-11...aw man.......but I do think its perfect for Barack Obama too..........thankx for tha shout......Elgin
I forgot say I also thought of Randy Pasche the professor behind the last lector who died over the summer as well at this moment there are the people affected by Hurricane IKE as well. I mean 10 years ago I lost my grandmother who died from natural causes and then 6 years ago I lost a teacher I knew to the same type of cancer that killed Randy Pasche and I made a tribute to her in the form of a speech at my graduation. Its has also been a dark time for my hometown since we lost 3 cops.
I see pics of the WTC towers being destroyed on 9-11, the Obamas, the Clintons, Tim Russett, Princess Diana, the Shuttle Challenger incident, Hurricane Katrina, the war in Iraq to name a few in your slide show its yet sad but at the same time to remind us to think postive.
yeah, u'r right, which is what I was trying to convey, after everything we've been through in this world, we, as a people can still come together...u kno, utopia...lol....
Good job it brought me to tears and at the same time this slide show with the Obamas and Clintons in it does make me happy though. Today when I was hearing this song I thought of the people I lost over the years and also what my friends and co-workers went through three years when they were dealing with the deaths of two teens two weeks part of each other. I didn't know neither teen personally but I got involed to help them deal with the pain since I too lost a friend 3 years ago to murder.
Thank-you for sharing your thoughts, my best friend appears first in the video, he passed away on August 17, 2003, 11 days before his 30th birthday, August 28.......the day Barack Obama will accept the nomination and the date of the March on Washington..........I just know he would how much he would have enjoyed what is going on today.....to me, the song simply expressed my wishes for us all through all the joy and pain, we've overcome before and can again if we just try......
dis was a nice slideshow. And dis song is da bomb. Quincy Adams really did his thing when he composed these songs. He deserved the humanitary award on BET. He is one of the greatest composers of all time. We should really appreciate his music.
Mr. Quincy Jones has been recognized for the humanitarian award many times and others as well. He is a LIVING LEGEND. He composed many TV theme songs and has recorded and produced so many artists as well as movie soundtracks. He is a musical genius many times over!
