  • This is my favourite finisher of all time.

Shame it got banned due to health and safety :/

  • he actually performs it in a safe way unlike homicide.if he can get his ass back to the WWE I hope he uses that again.

  • SHIMMY SHIMMY YA. Relatively the same beat. Reminds me of another remix of Shimmy done my a J-Rap star, Reloaded. Great Song though, and I miss this version of Shane Helms. This Helms stood out the most during his time in WcW.

  • @strang14 Oh yeah!!! O.D.B.'s Shimmy Shimmy Ya does has a similar piano sound to his music.

  • amasing theme

  • vertebreaker on aj styles

  • sounds an awful lot like method man by wu tang clan

  • i think that move is a veryy dangerous move.

    i like it alot though.

  • Very cool theme. Its even better finaly hearing it full and cd quality. Finally obtained it

  • @hornetsfanjc care to upload it?

  • I just noticed, this sounds like Ol Dirty Bastard's "Baby I like it Raw", LMAO

  • @Juggernaut81886 It's actually called "Shimmy Shimmy Ya" but it does sound just like it.

  • @Juggernaut81886 i agree

  • This was the only good talent WCW made during the year 2000.

  • now he dont use that vertabreaker so often because it scares the opponents

  • Also because it's a hard move to take when your arms are being held back and all you can do to protect yourself is tuck your head to your chin and pray you don't get your neck broken.

  • Yeah the move is not allowed by the WWE and several professional wrestling organizations.

I think people in Japan still use it a bunch though.

  • Yeah Japanese wrestlers are a lot tougher than American wrestlers in most cases. They do back bridges quite a lot so they have strong necks which allows them to take head bumps without being seriously injured.

  • The japanese own americans in terms of wrestling entertainment imo.

Esp the women. Theres this barbed wire explosion match on youtube that is awesome. I forget the womens names but they were so hardcore. You would never see "divas" do a match like that, let alone have the move set japanese women have.

Way better acrobatics and wrestling moves.

  • Plus......Some of the most devestating finishers were invented by Japanese women wrestlers including The Vertebreaker :D

  • Your probly thinking of Megumi Kudo VS Combat Toyoda or Shark Tsyuchia. Kudo inovated the move in the late 80s-early 90's. Also the move is still done in a bunch of american indie feds.

  • @SXcore the company was probably FMW in japan, and the women were probably megumi kudo, the shark and combat toyoda :)

  • These days Homicide uses that move, calls it the Gringo Killer

  • homicdie did it back in the days called the cop killa

i was in the old training school watching wcw when helms debuted it and homicide fliped out cuz he was doing it for a few yrs already

a girl in japan is the one who invented it Kudome Valentine i think it was or toyoto im not shure but it was created by a girl

  • @zerokool3zk Her name was Megumi Kudo.

  • does anyone know where to fnd a clear version of this?

  • ...I still havent found a Band named "Boys with the Bass"!

    I can not believe it!

I'm speakless - WHY Shane, WHY??????

U made WCW Theme's in 2001 to what they was NEVER!!!

U created the BEST WCW Theme I EVER KNOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So WHY Shane, WHY don't U be a REAL Superstar and upload this song on ya site or here on Our site that youtube is???

    WHY?????????????????????????????

  • aj styles in that vid taking the vertebreaker.

  • Yeah, saw that too.

  • that was his wwe tryout match after wcw fell but b4 he went to tna

  • I wish there was a full CD quality theme out there, Itd be awesome if Jimmy Hart released his anthlogy with all the old WCW themes on it

  • i wish helms still used the vertebreaker finisher

  • i wish he still wrestled

  • right

    i think soo 2

  • Shane Helms is the one that wrote the theme song. I'm pretty sure he just wrote it so it sounded catchy (which it does), and not because it made perfect logical sense.

Sucks the WCW thing happened when it did. I recall Shane Helms being pretty huge in the waning days of WCW (they even gave him the Nitro Girls for his personal entrance), and I think he could have been a really big thing if WWE hadn't squandered him.

  • yo what great memories! i'm looking for this song all the years since now! the only facts i found were the bands name "boys with the bass" / "boys with da bass" and nothing else! i can not believe noone got a cd quality of this song! back in 2001 i knewn some fans and they had cd's from dj ran with all the themes they used in wcw 2001! hm... maybe the former wcw dj - dj ran - has a cd with these songs!?

  • get the full version of this song this was his best theme

  • YO TRY 2 GET THE FULL LENGTH THIS IS FIRE

  • hey thats my move at svsr08!!! how awesome

  • the theme was cool but I laughed when he said "Vertabreaker with slap your face."

  • Haha yeah the lyric makes no sense because you land on your back when he does it.

I wonder if the guys who wrote it ever thought of that =P

  • Yeh lol.

Well, i 'spose, in the first done version of this move they do, just that this is a variation.

Anyone who hasn't seen the original, search "Kudome Valentine" SHE yes she, is a Joshi, and was the first person to use the move back in 1995

  • How has that a message to tna if styles wasn't there yet. Think. love that theme and move though.

  • kind of ironic that helms was injured by vreaking some vertabrees

  • rofl

  • suger shane helms was soooo cool

  • fuck!

  • HMMMM I wonder why they let him only use tha Vertabreaker once in tha WWE..and against AJ? I think thats a message to TNA at tha time.I used to love his old entrance wasnt a fan of Gregory Helms tho.

  • I love this theme! Shane Helms was the only guy who had any kind of momentum going for him when WCW went down. Everyone else either couldn't get over or was just showing up for the paycheck.

  • This was the greatest theme. I was hoping to find the full version without audio or anything... Kinda upsets me that nobody uploaded the full version. :(

  • Same here

  • I LOVE THIS THEME!

  • Haha good to see someone remembers this. I wish I could find the actual entrance with his dancers.
