  • damn i hope he lifts "bust" off his name

  • At least hes not kwame brown...

  • this guys sucks. he cant even run up and down the floor without getting tired during practice. i smoke cigs and i have a better wind than this guy.

  • haha stud at the beginning

  • Thabeet is now currently the tallest player in the NBA

  • @samtheman7975 aren't him and javale mcgee the same height

  • @israbiu javale mcgee is 7ft0 and thabeet is 7ft3

  • @israbiu javale mcgeee is 7ft 0 and thabeet is 7ft3

  • the best nba mix song...

  • If he had some good basketball fundamentals and developed a mid range shot, or hook shot, he would be a pretty good player even at the NBA lvl.

  • I can't believe my team traded battier for this bum. He better have improved over the lockout or I'm gonna be one pissed rocket fan

  • @xdivision100 me too man, but he knows how to use his height and his defense is on point, he just needs to be a threat on the offensive end

  • what a horrible draft pick :/

  • Tehee I saw that "stud" in the intro.

  • Hashame Thebust is a piece of shit

  • Dude hasn't been the same since Dejuan Blair shitted all over him during college.

  • hasheem thabeet > dwight howard

... that's when dwight is injured

  • @jayjoetube14 Whateevevr ur smoking ur on sommme gooooooooooood shit

  • he is now the tallest nba player now that yao retired

  • Man this nigga trash. I can't Believe my rockets traded for this nigga hoping he could replace yao ming. We should trade him and goran drogic for a couple good role players or some draft picks.Anything is better than keeping him. On the bright side at least we didn't waste the 2nd overall pick in the draft on him like the grizzlies. I they might have made it to the finals if rudy gay was healthy and they drafted a good player that year hell the might even have a ring instead of dallas.

  • He is a draft bust so far. He has averaged 1 point a game past 2 seasons. I know he can be a dominant rebounder, but he has no post game. All he does is dunk.

  • the new dike mutombo

  • in three-five years he could be a good center

  • he just needs to kepp practising, get stronger and have confidence in himself I think hes got good potential

  • I feel bad that he's struggled so far in his career. I hope everything works out and he gets good someday.

  • he probably should have stayed in college a few more years. but just probably.

  • if he gets the ball inside and ur gaurding him ur about to get dunked on

  • whats up with everybody using this song in their videos???

  • Video definitely didn't show anything impressive. All it was was a 7-footer doing what a 7-footer should be doing against undersized competition.

  • lol i didnt ever see shawn bradley do anything like this not sayin he wil ever become good but he has more potential

  • hasheem thaBUST

  • he wont develop into a starter in this league

  • Once he developes Houston will be a dominant force in the west for sure

  • Man the NBA analysts called hasheem tabeet the worst player in the NBA. How was someone this good end up doing so bad?

  • Im glad the rockets got him. If we can help him develop over the rest of the season + off season he could give us a defensive presence in the middle hopefully. Just give him time

  • i hope he does well on the rockets we need a replacement for yao

  • @Longhorns4545 Yeah, but they gave away Shane Battier, the player. #2 best player of the rockets cause of Kevin Martin. If Hasheem was a BUST with the Grizzlies then he will be a BUST for our team, next thing you know there go's our shot at the Finals

  • @Longhorns4545 Yao with 1 leg is better then this bust.

  • WHATS THIS SONG CALLED????????????????

  • @azunchutor fort minor-remember the name

  • You know whats funny all these people talking about all he does is dunk and block shots. Hmmm who else does that sound like Dwight Howard, Blake Griffin. They are ridiculous players who make mistakes but they have people who can get them the ball in position to flush it. Houston needs a threat inside to block shots and pull in rebounds. He has played ball for a few years give him some time with a team who can develop players. Memphis didn't give him a chance because he was the #2 pick.

  • He's got the potential to be a very good center in the NBA for years, but he doesn't even wanna be a bball player!? I heard soccer is his passion.

I think Morey said to Hasheem, "if you play basketball well, i'll get Yao, Hakeen, Deke and Adelman to play soccer with you ^__^"

  • @moanluvingguy2009 What the hell are you rambling about? Oh, and it's Hakeem.

  • Memphis doesn't have the list of big man coaches and Mentor's that the Rockets have. That list includes names such as Hakeem Olajuwon, Dikembe Mutombo, Yao Ming, Jack Sikma, as well as Carrol Dawson and even the Chuck-'wagon'!!

  • I really hope Hakeem Olajuwon can work with this guy, this guy has the potential to be one of the best centers in the NBA and plus he's gonna play for the city that once had the greatest center of all time!!!!!! GOOD LUCK IN HOUSTON HASHEEM!!!!!!

  • lets goooo ROCKETS!!!!!!!!

  • lets goooo ROCKETS!!!!!!!!

  • This video is nothing but blocked shots & dunks. I don't see anything where he exhibits any polished offensive game. I don't see any jump shots, post up moves, turn-around jump hooks, nothing. Yeah great, he blocks shots. That's fine and dandy, but if I was an NBA GM, I would never have taken him as high as number 2 at the time. He's too raw. DeJuan Blair is much shorter & he owned Thabeet in college & was a 2nd round pick (who now starts for a NBA title contender).

  • lmao.. all rockets fan look up his good sides..

    ima rockets fan too..

    Thabeet make Houston Proud :)

  • hes the taller version of Kwame Brown and a bigger version of Shawn Bradley

  • Lets go Rockets.... Thabeet, ya life is gonna change for now on.

  • i think his gonna supirse alot of people when he plays for houston, he has the potential to be the best post defender in the league.

  • @daniel234512 wrong

  • @JustINformU very wrong haha

  • @daniel234512 lol what do you think now?

  • taller version of Kwame Brown or a big version of Shawn Bradley

  • I loved Battier but lets get this started, maybe The Dream can work with him similar stories. Clutch City baby

  • Wellcome to houston lets get it done!!

  • Glad to see all you fellow Rocket fans.

  • welcome to rockets

  • Listen, If he learns from Scola. He is going to be a HOF.

  • he looks like yao ming and t-mac mixed together mann he is so going to reach his true potential in houston

  • WELCOME TO HOUSTON. memphis is terrible at teaching basketball but in Houston, look at Hakeem, Yao, Carl Landry, Pat Patterson, Jordan Hill all starting to mold into good decent players

  • WELCOME TO H-TOWN!!!

  • @oliverballer Hopefully, Olajuwan can whip him into a good player over the summer.

  • Welcome to Houston.

  • welcome 2 htown

  • I still can't comprehend that Thabeet was picked SECOND, and Blair was picked THIRTY-SEVENTH. It should have been the other way around.

  • all this kid needs a real veteran like hakeem...olojuwon and work ethic skills...and this dude can go from bust to stud!

  • LOL THIS GUY FUCKING SUCKS.

  • @DaMiisterClutch Just will till Olajuwan goes to work on him.

  • did the rockets really give up shane battier for him??? im dissapointed..

  • Grizzlies just lost a big talent. They should've given him some time (minutes). Now they'll regret this.

  • what a stiff

  • You cannot give up on a playe rlike this. The Grizzlies re making a big mistake with what they are doing with this guy.

  • if i'm a general manager of an nba team, i'd pick dejuan blair over this guy anytime.

  • kwame brown?

  • @TheRocTV

    thabeet is much better

  • He would be perfect in Toronto

  • thabeet will be str8 if he contionues to bulk up some more, and concentrate solely on defense for now.......

  • Raptors are gunna turn him into the Mutombo 2.0 like he should be when properly developed.

  • He's going to Houston Rockets soon, don't worry folks, we'll develop him up .. serve that number 34 for Akeem the Dream RIGHT.

  • @rohrmanman dream on, Raptors got him.

  • has he een got given a chance like start him a few times play him 30+ minutes and see what he puts up because he's just getting wasted

  • this guy saved mike conley's ass, what if they pikked jennings instead of thabeet, conley would played like 15mpg

  • this man is a legit bust,no cuz he dont have potential but that pick by grizz made no sense they already had randolph, gasol n a developing arthur but they styll drafted Thabeet. If thabeet went to thunder or kings or even Wolves he be better cuz they need inside defence, wolves also fuked up picking 2 pg in a row wtf nba lol

  • Song is sooo fucking played out

  • he might suck but i bet you cant whoop his ass

  • He is 7'3"... can somebody be a bad player at this height? I doubt... It's like a 6'1" player would play on a 8.3ft rim...

  • There seems to be no one guarding him on most of the high lights. His issues in the NBA may be due to competing with the other team playing defense.

  • too early pick in my opinion, but looks like he have potential..we will see..

  • the next Dwight Howard!

  • Comment removed

  • @Dimatry24 actually he's the African version of Shawn Bradley

  • @grasd2 More like the african version of Serge Zwikker.

  • @sisibilio Zwikker was a 2nd round pick. Hasheem and Bradley were both number 2 overall picks so my comparison is already perfect

  • @grasd2 Bradley, despite all the shit people likes to talk about him, had a very respectable carreer, maybe not worth of a 2nd pick but a hundred times better of what Thabeet has shown so far.

I don't even think he'll be in the league in 3 years, that's Larue Martin territory we're talking about.

  • @grasd2 but shorter and much more athletic

  • @grasd2 why would even think to compare him to bradley when he has so many years to improve, man quit hating

  • @Brumbeezy21 I'm not hating. Just stating the fact.

  • @grasd2 but hes not even 25 he has a lot to work on and improve on so hes no where near as shitty as bradley lol

  • tough, athletic, vicious shot blocker, dominant defensive player, excellent rebounder, beast, great post player, tall, NBA READY, efficient, stud, great personality....WHAT THE FUCK ????

  • OMFG he is big O.o

  • I'm from Memphis.....I've seen this guy play on numerous occasions and I don't want to call him a BUST quite yet......lets give him until the all star break to give him his walking papers.....

  • The city of Memphis hates this kid..he set the franchise back at least 5 years. We took this clown over 'Reke, Curry, B-Jennings..heck, even Jordan Hill would have been more serviceable than this kid.

His name..Hasheem Thabust. OR Thabum, whatever ur preference is. He simply is not good.

  • @kingkv Yeah, Thabeet shoud've never been drafted that high even though he can still be a factor in the middle with more seasoning (Mutombo or Brendan Haywood at least). But to pass up on those other players who were pretty much ready to contribute immediately in the NBA tells me how utterly incompetent the front office has been for the club of late. IMHO, Jennings would've been a more ideal pick for them since they were sorely missing a point man in their starting lineup at that time...

  • He sucks period..

  • Next Mutombo, just give him some time.

  • bust, hope he does well though

  • Bust!!

  • @d9680

Wait til he learns to play without fouling out every game and learn how to make free throws. He'll be dunking on everyone

  • @d9680 Was his first season in the NBA, does no one realize that? Yes he was picked way to early in the draft, but he is still a great defensive presence, and has many years to improve his offensive ability.

  • and with "they" I mean Evans/Curry.

I expect Thabeet and Harden to improve dramatically next season.

  • It was his first year for crying out loud! Some rookies start off better than they'll actually end up. Curry and Evans were spectacular rookies,It could be that others will improve big time while they may end up having worse careers than some of the other rookies. You never know after ONE season.

  • @TeleQtricK amen. look at Gilbert. 2nd round pick ending up to be the most improved player.

  • This man averaged 1.3 block per game last year with the grizzlies, and he only averaged 13 minutes per game, if this guy was playing 32 mpg+, dear jesus..

  • from this clip...all i can see is...he's got 0 moves...

  • Memphis should work on him. His height is will be just a waste if it is not being used.

  • 221 cm i taki sprawny-szacunek

  • naw, downtownmcgee, he got his jaw broke by a elbow in the begginig of the season.

  • this guy had so many talking about him...

    what happened..

Is he not good or are memphis stupid???????

  • @downtownmcgee he is not good at all.

  • Why do you haye on this guy, he didnt even touch a basketball until he was a junior in highschool, keep in mind he grew up in africa.

  • @Tmanvolfan That makes him have so much more potential. MUCH more than anyone who started playing as a kid.

You know the best center of all time Hakeem the dream? he didn't know basketball existed till college, he was a soccer freak and decided to play for Houston Unveristy Cougars. And the rest is history.

Hasheem could be the next Hakeem for houston!

  • dude has potential he looks a lil thin doe what if he had a body like dwight howard lol thatl be crazy but he needs some post moves in his skillsets nd with some experience the fouls shoud go down what if marck played pf nd he played c for the grizzlies that would be a sic front line

  • dont hate on him hes not a bust hes played 1 year centers take time to develop

  • The man has real potential.

  • He will go down as one of the biggest bust in NBA history. He is the second overall pick and can barely handle the players in the D-league. Yeah he looks cool in this video, but it isn't hard blocking shots when you are 7'3 and everyone else is only 6'10. And is it weird that in this video that every shot he makes is off an easy lob or dunk and never off a real post up? Just saying.

  • I don't get whats with all the hate

If you expected him to be an instant impact then your kidding yourself

He has the potential and the height...Just has to keep away from injuries and keep practicing

  • Thabeet is garbage..I don't see him ever being an impactful player in the pros. He should have went mid 1st round because he has no offensive game and gets bullied around by anyone bigger than him...and mostly everyone is bigger than him.

  • @intensewarrior7

There's not that many centers bigger than 7'3 270lbs. He should have much better stats this year just because there's no one his size who as his athleticism and jumping ability. If he had MJ lvl basketball IQ, he would dominate the league.

  • @stevelau1933 Dang I didnt realize he was 270..to weigh that much he still got handled by dejaun blair in college and blair is a better pro than him. Thabeet better find a new team cause he wont start over marc gasol anytime soon. And if anyone had MJ level basketball IQ, they would dominate the league. Isn't he in the NBDL?

  • @intensewarrior7 he weighs like 270 and hes 7'3" i dont many people are much bigger than him.

  • not so sure about tough

  • BUST

  • damn hasheem thabeetoff sucks.

  • hes like the next dikembe mutombo ...

  • the potential is there but this dude must lock himself inside a basketball gym for the next two years.

  • Thabeet is so under utilizied.

Tons of haters are going to eat crow when M. Gasol leaves and Thabeet starts dominating the paint. Man I wish the Raptors would trade Evans expiring for him.

  • we got thabeet go twolves

  • defense similar d.howard but attack ...work work

  • da next dikembe mutombo,right now he aint reconized,but whom remember m-j #23 when he started wit da bulls,ewing #33 wit da knicks,o'neal #32 wit orlando ??? all of dem struggled n thabeet's just need 2 b confidence wit him,trust his game n develop skills,h-th,i loved u-conns gurls n mens b-b,we gonna miss u !!! hope u come back 2 da n.b.a,truly;TRAVIESO_Y_MALO

  • @PUYAKIN123 MJ averaged more than 20-5-5 and o neal led orlando to 20 game winning turnaround

  • bust

  • too bad he sucks in the league

  • Hasheem Thabeet was not drafted to win rookie of the year. He was drafted as a development project, he is showing some signs of potential but needs time to develop. Will be a solid player in 3-4 years.

  • Dont hate on this guy,big mans need time to improve. I think he will be 12/12/4 guy in his prime

  • @streli6te 12 TOs, 12 minutes/game, 4 fouls.

Kidding aside, I want to see him improve in the league as well.

  • @streli6te I don't think he'll ever be a 12ppg scorer, not even if it's a contract year LOL

  • Comment removed

  • don`t blame him for his scoring averages.. When they set him as a lottery pick they expected to be the next mutombo. At his full potential he will average 10-12 ppg the most, but he would be surely a great defender. He has already this year 1.3 blocks per game in only 10 minutes pg. Imagine him playing 30,35

  • Honestly I felt Thabeet was gon be a flop after his start, but right now he's putting up some decent numbers and is on his way to being a D-League success story. Keep workin hard, and staying healthy is key. Don't hate on the brother.

  • @alwayzwanting next manute bol

  • Comment removed

  • He looks like he might be a bust! but he is showing development.

  • lakershd, thabeet is way to big. you need at least some athletisim to be in the nba. you need some meat on your bones too

  • Mark my words...in 2-3 more (healthy) years of NBA experience, Thabeet will be a top 5 center in the league along with Oden.

  • i agree with u on thabeet, but oden is already a bust, and i gonna be another kwame brown who ends up being a solid bench player,

  • if Oden can stay healthy, I think he'll exceed your expectations. if he keeps getting injured, though, I think you'll be right.

  • Whats the name of song

  • meehi am wearing red undies lol don't ask meh why i am telling you this

  • anoter bad pick, 2 pick waooo, 13 ppg on Dleague waoooo, jose barea avrg 40 ppg on Dlegue, a 5'11" gay, jajajajajaajajajajajajaja

  • Yo any body saying this dood garbage play with him and see for yourself bang all on your stupid azz most 7ft3 doods don't even move like him

  • talk about an NBA bust

  • how is he abust u idiot ? it's one year u cant call some1 a bust for at least 2 or 3 years

  • BUST!!!!! greg oden, olowokandi, kwame brown, darko are all better than this guy... he's averaging only 13 pts in Dleague??!?!!? thats garbage even coby karl avged 27 ppg in dleague.

  • @RamZodiac hes not ment to score, he was drafted for defense and rebounding. You seemed to miss in d league in 31 minutes hes averaging 11.8 rbs and 3.4 blks.

  • karl averages like 19.

  • Also, oden isnt exactly a stud. He needs a few more years.

  • the most overused montage sports song ever besides rocky music
