@fullmodfoon Dang no spare parts? Would you happen to have windshield wiper parts? I need a couple pieces but haven't had much luck finding any. also I'm stationed kinda far from home so Idk if you'll ship any sort of spare parts you might have taken off or any you have left?
Your right, now that I think about it a 400 is the same block as the 383 so it must have had a 440 in it. I think the car had belonged to a funeral home and been in storage for a while before the old man bought it. do you know much about your cars history? I am a Body man by trade and am finishing up on a 64 ford Galaxy for a friend, well my end of it any way.
@jaydee040 Nice! Great body style too. To answer your question, I know all of my car's history which is nice. In 1969 it was bought brand new by a contractor (who would sell his car after the first year.) So when 1970 came around it was time for a new car so he sold his to an owner of a bank which he drove on nice days until about 1985ish and parked in his garage afterward. Around 2002 my parents bought it for 1,000 bucks and it's been in the family since.
The Imperial came with a 400 and would just glide on the rode like riding on a cloud, The speedometer would go up and the gas gauge went down in tandem. The four barrel carb made a whistling sound that made it sound like a rocket ship. The thing would just float at 80 mph with one thumb om the wheel, best riding car I ever was in or drove. But I can't help it I still love the screaming 383 short stroke engine best. To all who have these old cars thank you so much for keeping them alive.
@jaydee040 Thank you! I enjoy keeping old cars alive, its when people actually took pride in what they built. Anyway, I agree totally that you could cruise 80mph with nothing but your thumb on the wheel, and you wouldn't feel anything. It just floats down the road. Also though, mine didn't come with a 400, it has the 440 lol. Thank you very much for appreciating, also I have another video of this car running. I am in the Air Force, so I haven't been home much, (that's why it's dirty)
When I grew up I lives with my grand parents, Granddad had four cars from the early 70's until he died around 1990. First was a 66 Windsor custom deluxe, then a 68 Newport he picked up from his brother in law who owned a dealership at the time. After that he found a 67 Newport with the same body as the 68, some came with the same body as the 66 newports, not sure why the two different body styles? Those three all had 383 two barrels. The last one he had was a mint 1969 Imperial crown royal.
@fullmodfoon No it's not, because it's going to go as one haha. I see your point though, I heard they're illegalized in demolition derbies unless it's an Imperial demo, which is sad to see such a piece of art go away.
When I was a kid my father had a 1969 Chrysler Imperial just like yours, the same color and all !!! He used to take me to school in it and my friends called it the Green Machine!!! If you ever want to sell it let me know! I live in Savannah, Ga but I still love this car and I would find a way to get it home !!!
@BruceBillion I'll let you know, but I don't ever plan on selling it though. I was givin this by my parents for my 16th birthday, and it really means a lot to me, I'm going to be doing a restoration on it, but plan on keeping everything original like the color, and making it look like the day it came out of the factory.
@flightmaster178 I completely understand your position. My father died in 1989 when I was only 15 years old! I did not have the financial means to take care of the big beast nor a place to keep it. We ended up loosing our house and the car was crushed for scrap metal !!! It still hurts just thinking about it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@BruceBillion I can so relate to the "lost car" emotion. While I'm a fan of Imperials, the car I wish I had today the Morris Minor my parents had when I was a little kid. No, I really don't want another Morris Minor of the same make and model, I only wish that I could have THE car that my parents had way back then.
@beard6 Yes! This is when things being made in America meant something. People handcrafted these cars, everything was done by hand, not computers and robots. and They were a LOT safer, and much more Luxurious back then than now.
@kendeezy21 Thank you! yeah, I'm away from home for a while. Stationed pretty far from home (Air Force) and I'm gonna get it shipped, but it needs a carburetor kit now. I will make another video when I get her cleaned up and tuned. Thank you for your compliments. I wish others could see it. Believe it or not, i've had people try buying that off of me for a demolition derby. ha, ya right..
@flightmaster178 WHAAAT!?!? DEMOLITION??? SMH, SUM PEOPLE JUST THINK EVERYONE WILL SELL ANYTHING FOR A QUICK BUCK I TELL YA, I CANT WAIT TO SEE UR NEXT VID ON IT, AND RETURN HOME SAFE AND GOD BLESS.
@peaveyamp38 The lebaron has no pillar between the two side windows. and also it has a larger back window. As I recall there were roughly 13 or 14,000 Lebarons produced, but only 1,617 Crowns produced. I know that for a fact. so It's a pretty rare beast haha.
If you like these splendid cars google ImperialMailingList. There is an unlimited supply of info and whatever else you need to know. There are no such sites that I am aware of concerning Caddy and Lincoln. It's truly overwhelming in scope and range for these beloved luxury cars by Chrysler, the aristocrat of American cars.If you tend to all full-size Mopars from 1969-73,just google Fuselage.Very nice site!
You are right. It is hard to have a big market on a rare car. But what I was saying was that there isnt a big market on 69 chryslers in general. Make sense?
I love those old Imperials, as I've had four myself. Where did you get teh production numbers? One of teh rarest Imperials was one of teh four I had, a 1974 Crown Coupe, one of 57 made. Factory Power sunroof, four wheel disc brakes, Dual snorkel HP air cleaner assembly, 3.23 sure grip 9.25 rear axle, and real wire wheels. It was triple white and ohh so beautifully clean. BTW-you need to wash your poor crown, it's dirty. Clean it up and post a new video, so teh chrome and body will show up nicer.
Oh I plan on it!!! I'm getting leave to go up there, i'm detailing it inside and out, and driving it to my base, I miss this car so much! Also, I got the production numbers from imperialclub I believe, Also, the 74's have a good body style too, I love all imperials, they come loaded. Also, I'm impressed your's has all that. I hate it though how people can take imperials with low mileage, no rust and demolition them.

I gotta admit though, mine doesn't clunk, and floats at any speed. I once had a flat in the back, and didn't even feel it while driving down the street, until I looked back to see what the noise was. this car is pretty well preserved, it sat in a garage from early 80's till 2003. and only was drivin on nice days. so all the sound proofing and all stickers are where they need to be, and I believe the 69 has around 180 pounds of soundproofing along with 43 rubber isolators for sound proofing
@cadrolls Oh they got the power lmao, yeah, my arm rests open to store things (good hiding spot) and I never floored it from the get go but I've had it 140 before, and I love how it floats when riding that fast. and that 440 doesn't miss a beat. I love the fuselage era of the imperials! (69-73)
@cadrolls Jesus! Yeah 69-73 I believe were the same body style for the most part except for small differences, like cornering lights, side marker lights, so on and so forth, but Rear foot heaters??? That's rare as hell! To be honest I've never heard of that.
@cadrolls Thank you! At least someone understands the value of classic/collector cars! I hate it when everybody acts like new cars are all that, because they break down just as easy, and also, it's about the condition, and miles. this just turned 100 thousand not too long ago, which isn't bad for it's age. I also love Cadillacs and Rolls as well! (your name has both)
I really like these cars. ignore the haters mate who gives a crap about how much its worth - It looks good. How much can you pick these up for anyways? I'm a poor student in need of a big old american car haha. heard you can get these fairly cheap in comparison to most classic american cars
@spencnaz I plan on it! Just like it came out of the factory! I'm keeping it original everything, also it has the original spare tire in the trunk that came with the car out of the factory, i wouldn't drive on it though.
schattner all together! you all know the only reason you can still fill up these eco terror machines is cause your stupid presidents dad is in the oil not solar biz...
Wouldnt that be more along the lines of me not knowing about demolition derby? I guess everyone that knows about old cars should know demolition derby rules. LoL. Like I said, might be rare but its not worth much because its not DESIRABLE, and never will be. Actually you could throw some 24s on it and it would be cool in a rap video.
@tx51chevy No, "everyone" who knows about old cars shouldn't know about demolition derby rules. Anyone who is so low class and IGNORANT as to demo a classic car should stick to Nissan Sentras. You are probably from New York or New Jersey, you sound like a fat hairy asshole. I bet your real name is "Joey Buttafucco".
@farmerbrown2a HEY! Don't lump all New Jerseyans with New Yorkers! Most of NJ (as well as NY State) outside of the NYC metro area is populated with decent, hard working Americans! Not clowns, ne'er-do-wells and liberal America haters.
@farmerbrown2a New York? New Jersey? I'm FAR from either of those places. This car wouldnt be worth much less AFTER it was in a demo derby than it was BEFORE. How many 69 Chryslers do you see at car shows? Thats right you dont see them. WHY? because nobody wants them. Lets use a 57 chevy as an example. How many of them do you see at car shows? A TON. WHY? Because people ACTUALLY WANT THEM.
@tx51chevy The 57 Chevy is as common as dirt which makes an Imperial even more special. The fact that you do not see a lot of them adds to the allure. It also means a restoration takes a great deal more work and talent because you can not just go out and slap on new parts. You do not see many Pierces either but that doesn't make them any less impressive.
@IstvanN1961 You are right. There are tons of 57s out there but the value of a 57 chevy and a 69 chrysler, well its not even close. A rusted out 57 can bring more money than his chrysler just as it sits.
@tx51chevy if you look at old cars as an investment you are correct. If you look at old cars as a hobby that should be enjoyed then to each his own. If you look at the old car hobby as preserving a piece of history than having nothing but 57 Chevrolets is pointless. If this fella gets his Imperial nicely restored he'll have done something he can both enjoy and be proud of as well as own a unique piece of history.
@tx51chevy The reason why you don't see them is because there were only 1,617 of these produced back in 1969. as compared to the higher number of 57 chevies.
A demolition derby? Thats where your cars belong. I actually have 2 classics and NEITHER are restored yet but because of what they are they are STILL worth more than that chrysler you have. Your car has doubled since it was manufactured???? That means it was about $1000 brand new because you might be lucky to get $2000-$2500 for that ugly thing. HAHAHA, you need to get a grasp on what a real classic is.
@tx51chevy oh btw, if you actually knew something about older cars, you'd know Imperials of my year are illegalized (Not permitted) in demolition derbies because of their strength.
@tx51chevy@tx51chevy yea well i do have something that is worth pretty decent price. A 1967 Ford F250 styleside 3/4 ton with overloads and the factory 390 engine and 4 speed. in it's condition, it's worth around 17,000-18,000.
@k73mrviking Thank you! Yes, this is rare, this is one of 1,617 produced of it's kind (Imperial Crown) the other Lebarons were up in the 13,000ish mark, which is still rare, just as rare as this one.
Ok i get what you are saying but im saying that its not some car thats gonna be worth a TON of money or anything just because its rare. Its still a 69 chrysler, not exactly known for its beauty. But i still think it would be cool to drive.
@tx51chevy because there wasn't that many produced, and it was mainly owned by richer people. Also, I've had nobody who's actually seen it in person, has never complained about it. They also have imperial clubs, that I'm registered with, also, I don't see them making bel air concept cars lol.
@PatriciaCookFind1 Nobody said you had to listen to it. Besides you can always turn off the music. As well, this video isn't about the music. It's about a rare car, and i used to have false info on it, and youtube only had a few songs to choose from.
Clean that baby up and detail it and shoot another video. Thats too nice of a car to let get dirty like that. How does that 440 run for you? And how about the 727 torqueflight transmission? Shift smooth? You should also try and find the broadcast sheet. Its either under the back seat or behind the back seat cushion..possibly visible from the trunk. Nice ride!
@acrttdriver This car runs like a champ, never left me walking, and that 727 shifts without you even feeling it shift. I'll have to look for the sheet. what does it look like? what does it all say?
@flightmaster178 The broadcast sheet will say "Chrysler Corporation Broadcst Sheet" on the top. Like I said before. Look behind the back seat cushion, or look in the trunk at the rear of the back seat. It may also be under the back seat cushion. If you find it the paper will be britle from being so old. Handle it with care and piece it back together if it comes apart. The sheet will tell you everything about your car. There are some websites that you can go to and they will help you decode.
@Albee213 Yea sorry bout that. I used to have my recording on there but i said false things. I later found out different information so I had to do something so I chose music, youtube didn't have much of a selection it seemed so I just chose this.
@flightmaster178 Hey seriously, I am jelious of the car! That is one of my dream cars. I would be happy with a 68 Charger R/T and any of these Imperial in four door hard top. I had a 1973 New Yorker 4 door hard top.... I should have never sold it!
@takoma5 I will, I plan to restore it and make it like it came outta the factory. Keep everything original. I really need to buff and wax the paint tho.
@flightmaster178 ..Good!!..there are not many left of these babies so this one deserves the attention..and you got 440cui V8....i saw one 1970 model here in
Sweden last year but this one looks so much better...:)
Beautiful car! But..... First it is an IMPERIAL. If the title shows it as a Chrysler it was changed after it was registered the first time. Separate division until 1971. Second- This is a Crown Sedan, NOT a LeBaron! Note the large rear window and the Crown interior. My 1969 LeBaron has a different style and it's unique smaller rear window. Hope U enjoy the car, It's great!
A beauty worth fixing!

Like I said, might be rare but its not worth much because its not DESIRABLE, and never will be. Actually you could throw some 24s on it and it would be cool in a rap video.
tx51chevy 1 year ago
@tx51chevy No, "everyone" who knows about old cars shouldn't know about demolition derby rules. Anyone who is so low class and IGNORANT as to demo a classic car should stick to Nissan Sentras. You are probably from New York or New Jersey, you sound like a fat hairy asshole. I bet your real name is "Joey Buttafucco".
farmerbrown2a 1 year ago
@farmerbrown2a HEY! Don't lump all New Jerseyans with New Yorkers! Most of NJ (as well as NY State) outside of the NYC metro area is populated with decent, hard working Americans! Not clowns, ne'er-do-wells and liberal America haters.
IstvanN1961 1 year ago
@farmerbrown2a New York? New Jersey? I'm FAR from either of those places. This car wouldnt be worth much less AFTER it was in a demo derby than it was BEFORE. How many 69 Chryslers do you see at car shows? Thats right you dont see them. WHY? because nobody wants them. Lets use a 57 chevy as an example. How many of them do you see at car shows? A TON. WHY? Because people ACTUALLY WANT THEM.
tx51chevy 1 year ago
@tx51chevy The 57 Chevy is as common as dirt which makes an Imperial even more special. The fact that you do not see a lot of them adds to the allure. It also means a restoration takes a great deal more work and talent because you can not just go out and slap on new parts. You do not see many Pierces either but that doesn't make them any less impressive.
IstvanN1961 1 year ago
@IstvanN1961 You are right. There are tons of 57s out there but the value of a 57 chevy and a 69 chrysler, well its not even close. A rusted out 57 can bring more money than his chrysler just as it sits.
tx51chevy 1 year ago
@tx51chevy if you look at old cars as an investment you are correct. If you look at old cars as a hobby that should be enjoyed then to each his own. If you look at the old car hobby as preserving a piece of history than having nothing but 57 Chevrolets is pointless. If this fella gets his Imperial nicely restored he'll have done something he can both enjoy and be proud of as well as own a unique piece of history.
IstvanN1961 1 year ago
@tx51chevy The reason why you don't see them is because there were only 1,617 of these produced back in 1969. as compared to the higher number of 57 chevies.
flightmaster178 1 year ago
@flightmaster178 I was talking about all 69 chryslers not just your model
tx51chevy 1 year ago
A demolition derby? Thats where your cars belong. I actually have 2 classics and NEITHER are restored yet but because of what they are they are STILL worth more than that chrysler you have. Your car has doubled since it was manufactured???? That means it was about $1000 brand new because you might be lucky to get $2000-$2500 for that ugly thing. HAHAHA, you need to get a grasp on what a real classic is.
tx51chevy 1 year ago
@tx51chevy this one is not restored either, and fyi it's actually a collectors item.
flightmaster178 1 year ago
@tx51chevy oh btw, if you actually knew something about older cars, you'd know Imperials of my year are illegalized (Not permitted) in demolition derbies because of their strength.
flightmaster178 1 year ago 2
@flightmaster178 Some Derby's still allow them to run, but yes many do not allow them, the sub frame is super strong.

@tx51chevy @tx51chevy yea well i do have something that is worth pretty decent price. A 1967 Ford F250 styleside 3/4 ton with overloads and the factory 390 engine and 4 speed. in it's condition, it's worth around 17,000-18,000.
flightmaster178 1 year ago
@flightmaster178 Good luck getting that much for it. Sorry bud but there isnt exactly a big market for 67 3/4 ton Fords. Try again
tx51chevy 1 year ago
@tx51chevy well lets see what you have?
flightmaster178 1 year ago
@flightmaster178 Ok, I will have to make a video of them. Not finished cars but I atleast wont be unrealistic about their value.

@tx51chevy As a piece of history, it's priceless. They aren't making any more of these now are they?
UnusualTastes 1 year ago
@tx51chevy this is a rare car now days. granted it is not a cuda, charger etc but still cool
k73mrviking 11 months ago
@k73mrviking Thank you! Yes, this is rare, this is one of 1,617 produced of it's kind (Imperial Crown) the other Lebarons were up in the 13,000ish mark, which is still rare, just as rare as this one.
flightmaster178 10 months ago
@tx51chevy S.T.F.U bitch
peckiledorf 11 months ago
Ok i get what you are saying but im saying that its not some car thats gonna be worth a TON of money or anything just because its rare. Its still a 69 chrysler, not exactly known for its beauty. But i still think it would be cool to drive.
tx51chevy 1 year ago
Might be rare but still not a sought after car
tx51chevy 1 year ago
@tx51chevy because there wasn't that many produced, and it was mainly owned by richer people. Also, I've had nobody who's actually seen it in person, has never complained about it. They also have imperial clubs, that I'm registered with, also, I don't see them making bel air concept cars lol.
flightmaster178 1 year ago
@PatriciaCookFind1 Nobody said you had to listen to it. Besides you can always turn off the music. As well, this video isn't about the music. It's about a rare car, and i used to have false info on it, and youtube only had a few songs to choose from.

nice car man!!

flightmaster178 1 year ago
Clean that baby up and detail it and shoot another video. Thats too nice of a car to let get dirty like that. How does that 440 run for you? And how about the 727 torqueflight transmission? Shift smooth? You should also try and find the broadcast sheet. Its either under the back seat or behind the back seat cushion..possibly visible from the trunk. Nice ride!
acrttdriver 1 year ago
@acrttdriver This car runs like a champ, never left me walking, and that 727 shifts without you even feeling it shift. I'll have to look for the sheet. what does it look like? what does it all say?
flightmaster178 1 year ago
@flightmaster178 The broadcast sheet will say "Chrysler Corporation Broadcst Sheet" on the top. Like I said before. Look behind the back seat cushion, or look in the trunk at the rear of the back seat. It may also be under the back seat cushion. If you find it the paper will be britle from being so old. Handle it with care and piece it back together if it comes apart. The sheet will tell you everything about your car. There are some websites that you can go to and they will help you decode.

Inappropriate audio. Let's knock you unconscious, pump your body cavities full with a flammable liquid, and set your ass on fire. Nice car though.

One, this song really sucks, two every one uses it on youtube, three I would rather hear nothing! The the volume adjuster hit the floor!
Albee213 1 year ago
@Albee213 Yea sorry bout that. I used to have my recording on there but i said false things. I later found out different information so I had to do something so I chose music, youtube didn't have much of a selection it seemed so I just chose this.
flightmaster178 1 year ago
@flightmaster178 Hey seriously, I am jelious of the car! That is one of my dream cars. I would be happy with a 68 Charger R/T and any of these Imperial in four door hard top. I had a 1973 New Yorker 4 door hard top.... I should have never sold it!
Albee213 1 year ago
@Albee213 Hey if you want an imperial hard top. there's a few in eastern NE that you could probably find. not like mine so much but 68's or so.

flightmaster178 1 year ago

one of the coolest car in the world,,, i owns a 1968 imperial ,, the second coolest car inte the world ;) check it out on my site,,/// from sweden
chrsirian 2 years ago
Beautiful car! But..... First it is an IMPERIAL. If the title shows it as a Chrysler it was changed after it was registered the first time. Separate division until 1971. Second- This is a Crown Sedan, NOT a LeBaron! Note the large rear window and the Crown interior. My 1969 LeBaron has a different style and it's unique smaller rear window. Hope U enjoy the car, It's great!
iamayryz 2 years ago
@iamayryz Thank you for the advice!

Nice car!! It would really look sharp to give it a nice buff and wax job!! Also, no Imperial deserves black wall tires!!
