  • Zo for life! Dude was straight up nasty in the paint.

  • This techno TRASH SUCKS but my boy ZO be beating that **ish up..Get it outta here**MIA

  • Recent BEST BLOCKERS in my opinion:

    3 Josh Smith

    2 Chris Andersen

    1 Alonzo Mourning

  • SEXAAAYYY. I miss Zo.

  • Unnecessary apostrophe for the motherfucking loss.

  • I got a lot of respect for Zo. He got dunked on a lot, but he was one of the only guys who had enough balls to try to block everything that came his way, some guys or most guys just get out of the way and let people dunk, not Zo, he was a true warrior.

  • Zo was a warrior..

  • how many times did Zo get to scream "GET THAT WEAK SHIT OUTTA HERE!!!"

  • IVE GOT A SIGNED USA JERSEY BY ALONZO MOURNING! :D

  • for some reason i always been a fan of PF & Centers & not really the backcourt. TD, admiral, mutumbo, zo, hakeem, ewing are pretty much my fav of all time.

i dont think their will ever be a group of bigs like their was in the 90's. just too bad all of them were dominated by jordan & pippen. lol dwight howards the best to offer today. hes nothing more than the very poor mans mutombo. hate how the nba is all about the back court now.

  • Poor channing frye

  • 10 people went to the rim with weak stuff

  • 1:35 i s so sick

  • forgot to mention, one of the worst attitudes in the nba and no players liked him...how about statin the truth...this guy was a cocksucker and still is....dont glorify his blocked shots or his kidney failure....this guy is scum.

  • @ChilloutSessionZ he has zo's summer groove for kids every summer and does all kinds of charity work motherfucker! yea on the court he's not suppose to be a sweetheart and make friends you stupid faggot!! who cares if other players and most fans didnt like him. dont be a dumb bitch ya whole life, go view a baby einstein dvd

  • Third to Russel and Hakeem. Zo was the man

  • @TheOtherView Dont forget Patrick Ewing

  • it helps being black and 6 ft 10

  • ZO # 1 .MR '' WHERE YOU GOING?''

  • one of the greatest shot blockers of alltime but had bad luck with MJ, Vince and Shaq lol, those guys didnt care who was standing in the way

  • go away boston :D

  • THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR Alonzo Mourning and fuck dwight howard in zo's prime he aint got shit

  • he is not one of the best blockers.....

he is the best blocker (:

  • but definetly now its the weak era of centers

  • Zo is one of the all-time greatest, fuck all these newbown Bron bandwagon Heat fans. This next ship is for my boys Mourning, Haslem and Wade. We miss you Zo!

  • it looked like zo blocked every member of the knicks team, no wonder new york didnt win, they probably broke down when they thought about going to the hoop after this

  • watch?v=fPWUBUcu0YY

Alonzo's game winner in rookie year

  • I believe I read somewhere that Zo has the most blocks per minutes played since they started keeping records of it.

  • You this man very cruel! Big man take it easy! o.O

  • watching this video with the music on makes me feel like i'm watching this video in a gay bar.

  • speaking of shot blocking, guys like D12 and Amare stoudamire may have impressive looking block numbers now, compared to the legends but question is are those swats for the most part still in play or are they clean blocks? in terms of blocks per fouls, Tim Duncan leads the league in that, with a disparity that isn't even close amongst the 2nd guy in that stat, Javal McGee.

  • @3:32 One of the greatest blocks ever on Anthony Peeler.

  • can you picture him with the heat now they would be unstoppable

  • best instint blocker ever seen

  • The best blocker in nba. After many blocks he's team had ball! Not opponent. Howard strikes ball at crowd. Bogut thinks like Mourning. After 66,7% of his blocks, ball belong for his team. Sorry, I'm weak at English. I hope you understood me.

  • @tvoorhees91 couldn't agree more, Mourning is my all-time favourite plavyer, his shot blocking is second to none i just loved the guy's passion and intensity. Was awesome to watch him stand his ground and take on a dunk. Wish i got to see him play in person....

  • the original team of zo is miami....

  • He was still the best shot blocker in the league in his late 30s.

  • 1:34 grown man block

  • gilbert got stuffed @ 1:35!!!!!!!!

how many players nowadays would you see even attempt to challenge a dunk like that?? let alone get a CLEAN block!!!!

  • niggas dislike the wierdest things

  • Miami could sure use Mourning's defensive presence now...come out of retirement Zo, we need you

  • 2:54 was just epic

  • Annoy gay music

  • wtf gayest music everrr

  • No flying zone when Mourning was on the zone. Big respect for this man´s heart and his passion for the game.

  • the block on 1:34 amazes me

  • L E G E N D

  • I miss him and he still is my favorite center of all time. Props to Alonzo Mourning.

  • anyone else think he looks like black doug at 0:56?

  • how many block did he had in that game versus knicks...and yeah..poor frye...he isn't cooking with mourning around him

  • Mourning is the closest thing to bill russel today

  • @2pac510707 Yes he is!

  • lol channing frye at 2:56

  • @Quadzilla99 my favorite block ")

    lol shut him down huh?

  • @Quadzilla99 destroyed frye LOL

  • the one on sprewell....wow

  • lol @ channing frye

  • 1:30 a Great Block.

  • so so morningggg

  • Did Dick Bavetta call a flagrant foul on Reggie Miller's block?!?!?

  • @nomadicent yes for the push in the back.

  • @wolwerine21 i think the same about lebron an rondo i always see james blocking rondo :D:D

  • dang it..arenas has been blocked ALOT!!haha

  • get that out of here!!! "alonzo mourning best blocker in the history of basketball."

  • you could get the feeling that he doesnt like gilbert arenas

  • @Leon9live i know!haha...

  • love when he blocks ewing!

  • Wow, how weed did Tayshaun prince bring that ish... 2:01

  • If there could only be 1 MAN in NBA history.. it's Alonzo..

  • Agreed,

  • @myidolisnf soo right man, agree 100%

  • man him and evander holyfield(boxer) are my 2 most inspirational sports players! the thing with zo was that when he was on the court the entire team always played better. he brought a level of intensity that all the players had to respect! man what a great day it was to see his number retired!

  • If you notice, in addition to his immaculate timing on his blocks, he consciously tries not to turn the ball over - and he does it well.

  • @Googleman1983 yes exactly, he doesnt try to block it hard like shit so it will go into the stands or something, 95% if not more of all the blocks in that video ended up an easy rebound for either him or a team mate...

I thaught i was the only one who noticed that

  • Zo knows the timing on shot blocking. He just put a hand on the direction of the ball and just wait for it and then BOOOOM!!!!! He doesn't really swat it that's why a block for him could be a possession. Look at Mt. Mutombo, they have thesame style in shot blocking.

  • Zo is BEST!!!

  • 2:55 EPIC. Look at him screaming, as if he were going to make it . . . .lol . . . .noob

  • what a faggy song

  • che canzone di merda

  • u couldnt have picked a more gayer song

  • Zo was great and you know he was good on the Hornets with my Boy LJ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yeah, who didnt love that duo!!!

  • man the song really does not suit this vid at all

  • goat!!

  • Zo and Jermaine oneal are my two fav shotblockers!

  • horseradish tree wallace and alonzo mourning are the best ones in the art of the blockade and are my idols

  • his daughter used to come to my school but isn't here anymore.

  • CHE MUSICA DI MERDA

  • invece sta canzone è sboronissima, nonostatne sia house..

  • ZO says NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Too bad camera views, but Zo is the great.....

  • Zo was and is a warrior...I hated him for a minute tho

  • zo is a boss

  • a boss of rejecting shots

  • shot blocking has completely changed in the past couple years. used to be that guys like zo and hakeem would just stuff guys when they went to the rim. now guys like dwight and marcus camby get most of their blocks by coming over the weak side and swatting away weak layups.

  • Yeah you're right.

In the 90's with Zo, you've to get a passeport to go to the rim lol

  • @tvoorhees91

but its hard to block in the paint you got the def 3 sec rule back in the day in the 90s you dont have that big guys were just waiting for players to come

  • HAHA GET THAT WEAK SHIT OUTTA HERE!!! what the hell was up with that song tho? didnt fit at all.

  • 3:14 is crazy, he blocked a two handed dunk ;]

  • I miss this guy a lot, been a alonzo fan since the georgetown days. what a WARRIOR he was.

  • my new high school in north miami beach is named after him & tracy...

  • song name?

  • Vinylshakerz - One night in bangkok

  • I like d-howard but zo was on a whole different caliber?

  • i think he became somewhat of a better shot blocker late in his career, when he was shaqs backup. because he became more aggressive on defense, since he knew he only played limited minutes, so he didn't have to worry about foul trouble as much. i believe he led the nba in blocks per 48 minutes a few times when he played his last seasons with the heat. at least this guy won a ring too. he deserved it. hard worker, team player, never bullshitted around. my team could use another guy like him.

  • Every team could use a guy like him.

  • Dwight Howard and these young guys cant carry ZO's jock strap. ZO was a beast and still is one.

  • Howard is an Overrated Shot Blocker.... good, but not this champ like Zo

  • i know dwight is not good as zo but still hes defintly the best center in the nba since shawq is getting old cause all these centers dont know how to play post sadly the players from the 80s would murder all these young nba players

  • yes best center yes......the greatest shot blocker this season IMO is The Birdman Andersen

anyway pivot center today aren't as strong as 90' and first 2000 ... today is a fight between Howard in East and Yao in West... stop lol

  • i don't know about howard "definitely being the best center in the nba". have you been watching the finals? he struggles vs taller frontlines, and tough double teams because he has no post moves. he's got no go to moves where he can just shake the defense off. occasionally he'll make a quick spin move and get a layup, but it's easy to counter that if you're the defense. he gets stripped of the ball too often, and he struggles at the line in late game situations. he's a liability late in a game.

  • Yeah he didn't play finals as we thougt but you can't judge him for 4 games....

Tell me who are now the center top who can have the first position in nba? The pure center...

Howard and Yao.... not much choise..... if he will improve maybe Oden, but at the moment D is certainly the best center (anyway if we would put him in 90s he wouldnt be even in top 5 maybe)

  • The good thing about his shot blocking is that he doesnt try to swat it into the 5th row, he keeps the ball in play...

  • it was wonderful...a special player in a special time

  • why did you put an apostrophe in the title?

you probably meant "alonzo mourning's blocks"

  • @simoneazzolini true that man i miss him in the 90's with the Heat

  • yeah the best to ever do it

  • yeah most players now think its fuckin volleyball russel, robinson, olajuwon, mourning, all were great blockers who knew that keeping the ball in play was better.

  • long arms, strong body, great reflex, uprightness and shot-blocking technique ...

he's the greatest blocker ever wit Hakeem

  • @plutoniumcore

Indeed, now days it seems like it's all about making spectacular plays, imagine how many more possessions the Magic would have if Dwight went after the ball instead of trying to swat the ball into the stands every time.

  • @mightyPants yeah for sure - howard has stated that he loves sending shots into the stands because of the "OOOOOOH" from the crowd. what a chump! he could turn that shit into a fast break!

  • what is this song?

  • Vinylshakers - one night in bangok

  • Yeah it's P.Pierce

  • he is great shot blocker but the key to being a great shot blocker is not being afraid to get dunked on and end up on youtube.

  • 永遠的鬥士

    GREAT ZO

  • Miami must be lucky to have his shirt retired

    ZO RULES!

  • Long Live #33 Zo! You Desrve it! Miami All Day! We never Sleep

  • Block on Arenas is amazing!

  • beast!

  • How in the world can you not have Alonzo's back to back blocks in game 6 of the 2006 NBA Finals!? That defensive possession almost sealed Miami's '06 title!!

    Great vid tho.

  • true warrior... loved to watch him back in the days

  • getting jersey retired tonight

  • The Ultimate Warrior is going to get this jersey retired on Monday that sux...at least he got a ring with the 06 champs.

  • mourning really gor burning desire

  • fucking love me some zo!!

  • Awesome Clip... but OMG on the music choice!!1

plus where is Zo's Hornet days :P

  • Did this video get mixed up with audio from the worst dance club ever?

  • Zo was a beast!

Im happy there retiring his number

    as a Heat #33 (:

  • im so happy he ended his career with a ring. after everything he has been through and what he has done for the ppl here in miami. He deserves it.

  • Wow! Zo really loves the defense!

  • RIP

  • vinyl shakers- one night in bangok

  • yeah, but it's not the same beggining

  • Whats the name of song? :)

  • 2:53 owned!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Zo has retired today. A sad day in NBA history. what an animal man. so good.

  • Zo is a blocking machine!!

  • very underrated

  • and not to forget he is notably short centre.

i think there are few words (if any) that can describe him better than 'warrior'. i have never seen someone so fearless and strong. excellent shotblockers will come and go, but he may be the best dunkblocker we will ever see.

thru ill health & multiple retirements, he had one hell of a work ethic.

  • love the music!!!!

  • i love zo. he's a warrior, battling kidney disease and having to make a comeback after his surgery. definitely one of the most underrated big men.

  • it will be a sad day wen zo is gone, and shaq. best big men ive ever seen

  • nicee ;)

    wat song is it?

  • lmao reggie miller got owned

  • nothing video can loose video by big ben!!!

  • u ruined the video with the song. now im not going to watch it

  • um you could turn the volume down, Einstein.

  • 我最喜欢的盖帽手!加油!莫宁!

  • this man is fearless

  • everyone says. he gets dunked on. but you will never see any other player contest every shot like ZO. he will go for every shot . thats why he is the best at what he does. and thats send every bodies shots to the 3rd row..simply a beast in the paint..BIG ZO.
