Movie was good but the new goblin didn't get enough screen time, watching peter try to be "bad" was pathetic, and he cried a bit too much. Other than that I enjoyed myself.
Besides the new movie points out that we are dealing with a younger Peter Parker, but could we?! The first Spider-Man movie was about Peter getting his powers, so if the upcoming movie is about a younger Peter, then how could he possibly have his powers???
I disagree Nerd, I would love a 4th movie with my favorite villain Carnage in it. And, no loose ends you say? I though the movie was great, but the ending where Peter and Mary-Jane just hug each other where the whole movie has been about Peter trying to propose to her, that was just a massive disappointment, hence why I want a 4th installment.
The new movie? I ain't gonna watch that peace of s**t with my favorite Peter actor gone.
I personally liked the movie, I always liked spiderman but was too young to have been hit by his comic book popularity but the movie's where what got me into it and I loved the 3 of them. However I do sort of agree about the villian thing, all 3 villians are great but my 2 biggest pet peeve's were that the main point of the movie was supposed to be Peter's inner struggle with the Symbiote suit and the battle with Venom but it wasn't developed enough nor did Venom get enough screen time.
Their were too many villains. The movie, to me, felt very rushed. You can't just have 2 Spiderman movies with only 1 villain, and then jam 3 in the last movie. And it felt like their wasn't enough time in the film for an emotional connection with all of the characters. If they took their time and made it a 2 part movie it would of been fantastic - with all the material they were trying to put into one movie.
But that's just my opinion. We all have different opinions. Let just co exist.
I agree with thegroove14. My brother waited his whole 2 year Mormon mission to see this movie. His response:
Spiderman 3 "is the biggest disappointment since my son."
Name that review!
However, Star Wars 1 and Spiderman 3 were polar opposites of the reason why they sucked. Nobody was able to challenge George Lucas, and people were too hard on Sam Rami. The other two movies did great because they only had ONE villain each.
I came up with a comical review far more negative than this!
For example: Could they allow Spiderman to actually kill Sandman with his black suit given the information of the source material and make everything more dramatic?
I give this movie a 25%, somewhat biased because of this. IT BUTTFUCKED MY FAVORITE VILLAIN TO HELL AND BACK IN A HANDBASKET OF BLOOD AND GORE, seriously, Venom only appears in what, the last quarter hour? Sam Raimi's dislike for the character is no excuse to make give Venom so little screentime, and for a movie which features the black suit as the main villain, why does Pete only wear it half the time? Seriously, he doesn't start wearing it 'till halfway, oh and it had too many villains.
i think that venom should have been saved for spidey 4 but anyways, even though sm3 was the worst of the trilogy, it was still a great film regardless
Ever since this movie came out i have only heard people say this about it ''It sucks'', ''OMG it's so bad'', ''I can't find my cat'' and ''I HATE THIS MOVIE''. Now for the first time i go back and watch some of your old videos James, and i find a Honest review of the movie. I liked the movie, Emo peter made sence since he has the black sout that makes him all crazy. OK, Venom had a small part, but i was OK whit that, really the main vilian was there from the begining... the black sout!
if you removed all the annoyances of he film then it would have been a better film, like the second which 99% of the people liked and not like 3 which 99% of the people hated and they have good reason to, people are critical for a reason thats the game we have our opinions, it was a bad film, apart from that I am a big fan of your game videos you are a star
The thing that made the movie suck was Venom.. He was there in every poster and we wanted him.. Then Venom was so poorly made. If this movie would just be Harry and Sandman it would have kicked ass. Venom really should be made how he was in the 90's cartoon.. were peter almost goes insane 'cause Brock could be anywhere hurting his friends and he can't warn them without telling he is spiderman.. thats how it should have been
@Xhouffaed and the black suit isn't venom? -.- i wasn't talking about eddie brock venom but if you include spiderman venom it should come with it like bread and butter
@TheFilipFonky you think i don't know that already.. just said it so it's maybe easier to understand.. venom was the name.. but understand that many people say "venom" rather than "the alien symbiote that was called venom when eddie brock was it's master"
SM5: Venom returns and turns NY into a war zone to fight Carnage. It's armageddon for everyone and Spidey must fight for them and end the war of symbiotes.
@venomfan3412 i know you probably dont want my opinion but it sounds alot like spiderman web of shadows just without the other super heroes but as a movie it could turn out good i'd see it being a spiderman and marvel fanatic people would complain about how spiderman shouldve died (if he lives) seeing as how he cant beat carnage though
I agree with you, James. I loved the movie and the sub-plots and the other stuff made it better for me. Although, I wish they would've shown Venom more because he's my favorite villain. I didn't really feel like it resolved everything, so I was expecting SM4 and SM5. These are my ideas for what SM4 and SM5.
SM4: The symbiote from Doc Conners' lab escapes and finds Cletus Cassidy to create Carnage. Spidey must save NY from his greatest nightmare.
the movie was pretty good to watch, and yeah the whole dancing scene was unexpected but not all that bad. venom does appear for the last half hour, but at least he does appear, and somewhat faithful to the comics. sandmans characterization was really interesting, and all the fight scenes and special effects were top-notch. the only real beef i have is how the symbiote acts on Peter himself. i was hoping for the gooey mass that mimics his clothing like venom, and the black suit looks uninspired
Putting aside the Peter Dancing scenes I thought the movie was undeserving of the bad word of mouth. The place where it really fell apart was the ending. We have all these very important plot threads and I was interested to see how they could resolve them. Unfortunatley, they were resolved really terribly with exposition coming from unlikely background characters in one case. The sandman's forgiveness scene was good but it felt shoe horned in given how much attention was given to venom.
@TheRCTelevised yeah its not a sequel, its a reboot, but yeah, he's back in high school -__-, couldn't they have made the spider bite and moments of his high school years a flashback while the rest of the film takes place in his college years? but i can't really judge it until i see it first so yeah
The only villians I am wanting to c in spiderman four or the new the amazing spider man are carnage and/anti venom those guys kick ass. Carnage is basically an extension of spiderman and can change form to even look like him! But sadly idk much about anti venom
if they do make spiderman 4 with carnage in it chances are its going to be the most suspensfull/grimdark considering carnage is the darkest spiderman villain, which inthe end might actually make it a bit better then the others, considering in the comics carnage was a all out murder fanatic, i mean he killed his grandmother by pushing her down the stairs , tortured his mothers dog to death, and even killed a girl he refused to go out with him by pushing her in front of a moving bus.
I loved this movie, I truly did. I love that they brought in the black suit which I can't spell, I love how they brought in not one, not two but three villains, one original, one new, and one that is almost old, and how they gave Eddie Brock his original identity (Rival with Peter, rather than cat burglar or college friend) but the only thing I don't like: What does Venom look like? There's only a few parts that show his face, and it's only for a brief moment.
@ROOKI3LINKX He looks pretty good. I think the best shot is the top-down shot where he climbs the building. He looks up at the camera for like a second. If you pause the DVD, you'll get a good look.
@xJoeEDangerouslyx Yeah, but there's still barley any good shots with him. That's like, the only one where there's a good look. My guess is they started to run out of budget, so they couldn't afford the special effects, or they were saving up on money so they could have the symbiote come out as the real super villain after Peter pulled Eddie out of it (which in many ways, it was all along) or they got lazy and didn't want to do anything with the Venom face.
spiderman 2 was in my opinion was the best!!! i remember watching it when i was younger. spiderman 1 was cool too though. 3 was ummmm iffy. i guess part of that was because i was getting into my teenage years and leaving my comic books and action figures behind. But i will alway love 2 and i WILL see the new one
True I didn't like how chaotic it could be at times. I absolutely loved SandMan! I had zero expectations for him and they did an incredible job with his story. What I really hated was Venom. Having fought Venom in games and studied up on him and seen the cartoons. I was very disappointed with how they did him. He is supposed to be Spider-man's arch-nemisis superior to him in every way, instead they made him somewhat of a run of the mill last min add-on villain.
@nightbane2 well, and I'm pretty happy that they are making a reboot. Since Spider-Man 3 I've been wanting that but never believed they would do it so soon. But here it is, they're making it. I just wish it was under Marvel Studios hands, but... I can hope that they will make it right this time, right? Because the Sam Raimi trilogy is... well... lame nowadays.
How ironic that he state there shouldn't be a Spider-Man 4, there was going to be a Spider-Mna 4 but instead they're making a reboot, what disappointed me is that Sam Raimi & Tobey Maguire's version of Spider-Man never got to take part with the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe along with Iron-Man, Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America and the following Avengers.
Everyone, make sure Jame Rolfe watches this video and reviews it. Watch it yourself too, it explains what the government is hiding, and what they want to do to all of us, including the AVGN, this is no joke. Time is short.

waasn't bad up to the part with where peter goes crazy and does random shit. he was too out of character. also it had a lot of cheezy moments. then again so does every super hero movie.
@kaidos123 yeah thats true, but unfortunatly it takes from the dark tone it shuldve had. the humor shuldve been more mean-spirited and make him more of an asshole than him humilating himself
I liked 3 the only thing i hated was the way they did venom. it didnt fallow the comic well and spiderman never kills venom or fo that matter wins a fight with him. venom was a huge and twice the size of spiderman and the they guy brock that was in the venom suit ws the same way. They casted a guy who was the same size as peter parker. iv always liked venom more then spiderman so i hated this aspect of the movie but the rest ws good
Spider man 3 was awesome but the who emo and dance scene bugged the hell out of me they could have just made him more aggresive when hes saving people and fighting robbers and just make peter a asshole in a diffrent way
I get what you were saying about this sequel, I still have to rewatch Spiderman 2, I've seen Spiderman 1 & 3 way too goddamn much. When I saw it in theatres, it was alright, I merely only paid to see Venom because he looked cool and my only complaint was I wanted to see more of Venom because we only got more of Sandman and Harry. It was cheesey at times, but I like it for what it was...like I said, the only issue I had with it was that Venom wasen't in it long enough as I would've liked.
This was good, but the thing about it that I really hated was the lack of Venom. Peter is emo for a good majority of the film, then once he takes the black suit off and it falls on Eddie Brock, he is Venom for only the last half-hour. And that really pissed me off, which is why I hated this film.
@TheMarylandDude venom wasn't even supposed to be in the film, after they said it was his intention to end the series after the third film but they were forced to put venom into the film at the last second due to the amount of fans demanding him to be in the film.
It is also pretty shallow hating a film just because the character you wanted wasn't in it much, what about the rest of the film like the fight with the sandman in the subway? That was awesome.
@TheMarylandDude Yes I agree they should have put more venom!!! I like Spider-Man 2 the best!!! I wonder how The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) will turn out, hopefully better than The 3rd In The Sam Rami series.
It's not a bad movie but what sets me up the most is that it could have been much better so much easily. And that is: not by stuffing it with great villains that were highly expected but no justice done. I mean why do you complain about the Scarecrow being just a minor character in the new Batman-movies while one of the greatest villains ever, namely Venom, wasn't treated any better?
What I like about this movie is how similar Venom is stronger than Spider-man. It's like the classic story of how you "meet your evil half and he hates you and he's a thousand times stronger than you!" And if anyone says that Venom didn't get enough time in the movie and wasn't built up in the movie, TO HECK WITH THAT. The kind of character of Venom and his personality was building up in Eddie Brock throughout the movie. Honestly, Venom scared me a little. Seriously.
This movie had some great scenes to it, but it was outmatched by mediocre acting, dialogue, and pointless digression from the main storyline. Let's not forget the pointlessness of putting in Gwen Stacey, whom should have been Felicia Hardy, because Gwen Stacey was Peter's first love interest before Mary Jane and was killed by Green Goblin. Then there's Topher Grace who was basically being Eric Forman with a symbiote addiction. Anyone who likes this movie has terrible taste. Fuck this movie!
@DrFate204 Dude, ur taste in movies is delicious after reading this. amazing way of putting this movie in its place, unlike this stupid review about how people find things to complain about
I liked Spiderman 3, and I am never ashamed to admit it, people love to pretend the first two are waay better than the third, the fact is that, compared to the other two, this movie is great
In regards to the upcoming reboot/remake (I guess) I really with that Marvel Studios would have been the ones making it. Not just because so far they've done awesomely with Iron Man, Thor, Cap, and Hulk, not to mention Hawkeye, Black Widow, Bucky, and War Machine, but also because Spiderman is also an Avenger. If Marvel could have gotten the film right back on X-Men and Spiderman, adding Spidey and Wolverine to the next Avengers movie would probably have caused the box office to melt.
hey, wasnt this suppose to be the "darkest" of the 3? the teaser looked pretty heartpounding, the trailer looked great, but the movie was quirky, too silly, and Venom gets only one scene while Sandman wastes our time with his whining and non-aggressive behavior. He shoudlve been a tough badass who didnt give a fuck, but he cries and leaves near the end of the movie, without us knowing if he ever saved his daughter, for all we know he failed and she dies. bad writing
For me, spiderman three was contrived and exposed a ton of plot conveinences. And Sandman saying "im not a bad person, i just have bad luck" completly goes against the fact that he's terrorzing the city and all of a sudden, wanting to join Venom and trying to kill Spiderman. doesnt sound like bad luck to me. And Peter being a darker characters was played for laughs too long to the point i was getting pissed. The black suit barely had a role and Peter Parker dancing was completly uncalled for.
Hey buddy. You mentioned BATMAN Begins being overrated. Bump that,2me Spiderman 3 is way more overrated than Batma Begins. I honestly hear PLENTY of ppl diss Batman Begins and like you wat annoys me is they don't diss it on its own merit they begin by dissing it jealousy SOELY on the basis for all the LOVE it gets. To me thats no reason to hate a film. U either like it or you dont' U dont base your feelings on it by what the masses think/feel. But Spidey2 THAT movie ppl act like is PERFECT!
@TheFootballFrog Let's see: Chowder, X-Men, Spider Man, Avengers, Superman, Batman, Mario Bros., Sonic, hmm, well I guess I don't know Evil Dead. Sorry for not knowing every hit in the universe
When you look at Spider-Man 3 compared to the first 2, it's just shit. The great story development that was being built up in the first 2 movies, went down the toilet in the 3rd one. But this is not Sam Raimi's fault, it's the studio's fault. They are the reason why it failed. Instead of keeping it like Raimi wanted it, they had to add more villains and just spat on the story and made Venom a lousy character just to piss off the fans of Spidey.
2:24 in batman the movie, all the villains were working together in an alliance, in spiderman 3 they tried (until the end) to make the villains work independantly in completley unrelated storylines and the movie kept swapping storylines around (harry's ammnesia or sandman disolving, both just so they could be kept out the way whilst they could focus on another villain)
I loved every single Spider-Man movie, it was fantastic, I remember seeing the first one when I was young and it was always my favourite superhero movie, still is. However, I think they should have just left it with this trilogy, the new movie coming out soon looks like a total joke compared to this. In the new one, Spidey's suit is nothing but a red and blue cloth put together, the actor playing him looks like a punk, and Peter Parker looks emo in the movie. Nope, Tobey Maguire as Spidey 4 ever
Well the James it's seems there is gonna be another spiderman film but more of a remake of the very first and based on the comic book. But I agree with u they should the franchise alone.
Spiderman 3 was just plain...shit. This review is good and all it's just that i don't agree. Spiderman 3 was outrageous it was like Indiana Jones 4 the more you think of it the worst it is. I mean peter Parker sings. He fricken' sings and cries. It completely ruined the series. Why was peter Parker dancing in the door way, and why was he goth in it, with him always arranging his hair in that stupid way? I found the third Spiderman a terrible disappointment. two thumbs down.
I dunno about you guys, but I think 3 is the best. I like how the plot is not the traditional linear plot. There were several angles in the story. Peter's job, personal life, and responsibility as a hero. Some people don't like that, but I think it's great. It just shows the roundness of peter's character. It shows that even a superhero has personal issues and can be corrupted by hate and anger.
I wonder if they meant to leave a piece of the symbiot with Connor for the sequel or if it was just coincidence. I figured Rey purposely did it to leave it open for carnage. Too bad it won't happen...... Well not for a while anyways
The only problem I had with this movie was the director putting in his little beliefs in his movie, like his patriotism by putting spiderman near the american flag or making him go to church seriously I know spiderman was created in America but people all around the world watch it and they dont want to see just your country there. Take out the church and american quotes and it would of been a better movie.
@hectichorse yes, it's true that Spidey is popular internationally, but you still have to acknowledge his roots: he's an AMERICAN hero, one of our icons, and i don't think it's wrong to recognize that in the movies. Also, I'm not really sure what the problem is with the church scene; are you talking about when Eddie went to pray? If so, I don't really feel like Raimi was pushing anything on anybody; it was just what the character turned to in desperation.
@EinsteinEMP826 No like peter was going to him if you want forgiveness go to church and where peter goes to take off the black spidie suit which represents evil in a church :L Like im not trying to bad mouth christianity but you can see the directors trying to say christianty is the only place you can remove evil, plus I know hes a national hero but its so cheesy how they put him in front of the american flag like im pretty sure some americans themselves are getting sick of the go america stuff
@hectichorse I can see your point but if we're going to get technical, the actual quote was "You want forgiveness? Get religion." He didn't specify one in particular. And as for the church tower scene, that was just staying loyal to the source material; Spidey uses the church bell to get rid of the suit in both the original comic and several of the animated series, although I do fully acknowledge that there was a probably a morality undertone intended, which I don't really mind, to be honest.
I think Spider-man 3 was a great movie, what I would've done is let him get the suit in this movie, but lose it in the next one, since when he actually got it he had it for a while.the villains seem a bit rushed having it be about 3 characters new to the movies, but I think they handled it well for having a lot of them.I liked it being sort of funny, like when he was being a jerk because of the symbiote, things like that were funny,I hate it when people can't take comedy with their super hero movies.
@nintendude24 yeah but the comedy completly overshadowed the fact that Peter is suppose to be a darker more aggresive characters. it was fillinf half the second half up
@MiningGoldsClan i have no problem with comedy, but if they used the right kind of comedy to fit with Peter's darker side emerging, than yeah i probably wuldve been creeped out more than shaking my head at his dancing.....ugh.....
It's been a long time since I've watched it but from what I remember, I hated it. Now that you've pointed all this out, I might watch it again and actually appreciate it. :)
@buildercarmine no, I thought the same thing too initially, but it's not :( Apparently the similar-looking guy standing there was a huge coincidence that Raimi and the production team didn't realize at first, but they've addressed it since and said it was just a funny mistake.
spider man three was shit. emo peter??? him being able to take the black suit off???? eddie brock being a runt???? those stupid teeth ??? white finger nails ??? flying snow boarder?? them not calling him venom??? himself not calling him self venom ???? i rather stick my nuts in a waffle iron
Yea i must say that part when Spiderman was in front of the American Flag was nothing to complain about. How can it? Spiderman protects New York. An American City. Hes a product of Marvel. An American Comic book maker. We all have our hero's. Europe has medieval knights, the Japanese have Samurai and Anime. Does it all really matter? It's just a movie...
@SimsForever46 well, its in teh very first comment, and, really?? i would like you read tor story, why don't you send it to me in a message?sometimes fans have better ideas than the actual movies
@SimsForever46 well, its in teh very first comment, and, really?? i would like you read tor story, why don't you send it to me in a message?sometimes fans have better ideas than the actual movies
@SimsForever46 and that is the point i want to make,if it clashes with somebody else's opinion, well i'm sorry ,that was not my intention, but you know, would be like triying be friend with everybody in the world
@SimsForever46 the thing,in my humble opinion,is that, the people that hated the movie, took it almost as if it was something personal, and i don't know why that happened, sure,i really liked the trilogy, sure has some really silly moments, but in the end, they are only superheroe movies, and either of these are masterpieces or anything, they are just the kind of movie taht you watch and enjoy, has some good action scenes, and it is also good t see spidey and all those characters as a live action act
Movie was good but the new goblin didn't get enough screen time, watching peter try to be "bad" was pathetic, and he cried a bit too much. Other than that I enjoyed myself.

Go read the comics, or try to know something when you are arguing...
TheFilipFonky 3 weeks ago
@TheFilipFonky you think i don't know that already.. just said it so it's maybe easier to understand.. venom was the name.. but understand that many people say "venom" rather than "the alien symbiote that was called venom when eddie brock was it's master"

SM5: Venom returns and turns NY into a war zone to fight Carnage. It's armageddon for everyone and Spidey must fight for them and end the war of symbiotes.
What do u think?
venomfan3412 1 month ago

SM5: Venom returns and turns NY into a war zone

Thanks for this and it looks like we will be still waiting for that Evil Dead with Bruce
MrNuts70 1 month ago
the movie was pretty good to watch, and yeah the whole dancing scene was unexpected but not all that bad. venom does appear for the last half hour, but at least he does appear, and somewhat faithful to the comics. sandmans characterization was really interesting, and all the fight scenes and special effects were top-notch. the only real beef i have is how the symbiote acts on Peter himself. i was hoping for the gooey mass that mimics his clothing like venom, and the black suit looks uninspired
NinjaRed5000 1 month ago
Putting aside the Peter Dancing scenes I thought the movie was undeserving of the bad word of mouth. The place where it really fell apart was the ending. We have all these very important plot threads and I was interested to see how they could resolve them. Unfortunatley, they were resolved really terribly with exposition coming from unlikely background characters in one case. The sandman's forgiveness scene was good but it felt shoe horned in given how much attention was given to venom.

@TheRCTelevised yeah its not a sequel, its a reboot, but yeah, he's back in high school -__-, couldn't they have made the spider bite and moments of his high school years a flashback while the rest of the film takes place in his college years? but i can't really judge it until i see it first so yeah

spidey9334 1 month ago
if they do make spiderman 4 with carnage in it chances are its going to be the most suspensfull/grimdark considering carnage is the darkest spiderman villain, which inthe end might actually make it a bit better then the others, considering in the comics carnage was a all out murder fanatic, i mean he killed his grandmother by pushing her down the stairs , tortured his mothers dog to death, and even killed a girl he refused to go out with him by pushing her in front of a moving bus.
MrLolstfunoob 1 month ago
I loved this movie, I truly did. I love that they brought in the black suit which I can't spell, I love how they brought in not one, not two but three villains, one original, one new, and one that is almost old, and how they gave Eddie Brock his original identity (Rival with Peter, rather than cat burglar or college friend) but the only thing I don't like: What does Venom look like? There's only a few parts that show his face, and it's only for a brief moment.
ROOKI3LINKX 1 month ago
@ROOKI3LINKX He looks pretty good. I think the best shot is the top-down shot where he climbs the building. He looks up at the camera for like a second. If you pause the DVD, you'll get a good look.
xJoeEDangerouslyx 1 month ago
@xJoeEDangerouslyx Yeah, but there's still barley any good shots with him. That's like, the only one where there's a good look. My guess is they started to run out of budget, so they couldn't afford the special effects, or they were saving up on money so they could have the symbiote come out as the real super villain after Peter pulled Eddie out of it (which in many ways, it was all along) or they got lazy and didn't want to do anything with the Venom face.
ROOKI3LINKX 1 month ago

True I didn't like how chaotic it could be at times. I absolutely loved SandMan! I had zero expectations for him and they did an incredible job with his story. What I really hated was Venom. Having fought Venom in games and studied up on him and seen the cartoons. I was very disappointed with how they did him. He is supposed to be Spider-man's arch-nemisis superior to him in every way, instead they made him somewhat of a run of the mill last min add-on villain.
Method12321 1 month ago

They casted a guy who was the same size as peter parker. iv always liked venom more then spiderman so i hated this aspect of the movie but the rest ws good

I love this Spider-man movie. It's My favorite spider-man movie ever.
Harri927 1 month ago
This was good, but the thing about it that I really hated was the lack of Venom. Peter is emo for a good majority of the film, then once he takes the black suit off and it falls on Eddie Brock, he is Venom for only the last half-hour. And that really pissed me off, which is why I hated this film.
TheMarylandDude 1 month ago 29
@TheMarylandDude venom wasn't even supposed to be in the film, after they said it was his intention to end the series after the third film but they were forced to put venom into the film at the last second due to the amount of fans demanding him to be in the film.
It is also pretty shallow hating a film just because the character you wanted wasn't in it much, what about the rest of the film like the fight with the sandman in the subway? That was awesome.

It's not a bad movie but what sets me up the most is that it could have been much better so much easily. And that is: not by stuffing it with great villains that were highly expected but no justice done. I mean why do you complain about the Scarecrow being just a minor character in the new Batman-movies while one of the greatest villains ever, namely Venom, wasn't treated any better?
keepshowkeeper 2 months ago

He shoudlve been a tough badass who didnt give a fuck, but he cries and leaves near the end of the movie, without us knowing if he ever saved his daughter, for all we know he failed and she dies. bad writing
superhuman295 2 months ago
For me, spiderman three was contrived and exposed a ton of plot conveinences. And Sandman saying "im not a bad person, i just have bad luck" completly goes against the fact that he's terrorzing the city and all of a sudden, wanting to join Venom and trying to kill Spiderman. doesnt sound like bad luck to me. And Peter being a darker characters was played for laughs too long to the point i was getting pissed. The black suit barely had a role and Peter Parker dancing was completly uncalled for.

Let's hope new Spidey won't make that mistake.

2:24 in batman the movie, all the villains were working together in an alliance, in spiderman 3 they tried (until the end) to make the villains work independantly in completley unrelated storylines and the movie kept swapping storylines around (harry's ammnesia or sandman disolving, both just so they could be kept out the way whilst they could focus on another villain)
jhibbitt1 3 months ago
I loved every single Spider-Man movie, it was fantastic, I remember seeing the first one when I was young and it was always my favourite superhero movie, still is. However, I think they should have just left it with this trilogy, the new movie coming out soon looks like a total joke compared to this. In the new one, Spidey's suit is nothing but a red and blue cloth put together, the actor playing him looks like a punk, and Peter Parker looks emo in the movie. Nope, Tobey Maguire as Spidey 4 ever

My only complaint for Spider-Man 3 is that Peter cried a little too much.
jongameaddict 3 months ago
I dunno about you guys, but I think 3 is the best. I like how the plot is not the traditional linear plot. There were several angles in the story. Peter's job, personal life, and responsibility as a hero. Some people don't like that, but I think it's great. It just shows the roundness of peter's character. It shows that even a superhero has personal issues and can be corrupted by hate and anger.

The only problem I had with this movie was the director putting in his little beliefs in his movie, like his patriotism by putting spiderman near the american flag or making him go to church seriously I know spiderman was created in America but people all around the world watch it and they dont want to see just your country there. Take out the church and american quotes and it would of been a better movie.
hectichorse 3 months ago
@hectichorse yes, it's true that Spidey is popular internationally, but you still have to acknowledge his roots: he's an AMERICAN hero, one of our icons, and i don't think it's wrong to recognize that in the movies. Also, I'm not really sure what the problem is with the church scene; are you talking about when Eddie went to pray? If so, I don't really feel like Raimi was pushing anything on anybody; it was just what the character turned to in desperation.
EinsteinEMP826 3 months ago
@EinsteinEMP826 No like peter was going to him if you want forgiveness go to church and where peter goes to take off the black spidie suit which represents evil in a church :L Like im not trying to bad mouth christianity but you can see the directors trying to say christianty is the only place you can remove evil, plus I know hes a national hero but its so cheesy how they put him in front of the american flag like im pretty sure some americans themselves are getting sick of the go america stuff
hectichorse 3 months ago
