i LOVE how at the end the girl drives away in the r.v and it shows in the back the camera zooming out and its a temple i thought that was like sooooo epic!!!! also in my opinion danny trejo has a bit part but i love him cause he is in EVERYfrom dusk till dawn movie in my opinion i think the sequels of it suck cause no clooney no tarantino that is bullshit
You tripped me out when you explained George's acting. I agree, his best role and my favorite. I did that lil smirk in high school all the time, and his facial expressions. The ladies loved it. This was in the mid 90's. Excellent review.
And I also love how an ad for Twilight is in the up-hand right corner of the page...Yeah, like that's even a true vampire film. You want to see a real vampire flick, watch From Dusk 'Till Dawn! No movies are better than original exploitation works that Tarantino references as well as those films themselves he makes that pay homage.
Definitely not his best, but certainly a lot better than Jackie Brown. I'm sorry, but Jackie Brown overall just was not a good film at all. It's what happens when people with unique trademarks try to follow the crowd; blend in with the hive. It felt to regular and generic, and that's why people loved it so much--because they're too dull to see art when it's in front of their eyes. This film, on the other hand, is at least supposed to be ridiculous but still freaking cool. It blew my mind.

It is totally different from the original, all the way to the nature of the vampires. But both frog brothers were in it so for me that was cool.

Awesome review like always, haven't seen the movie yet. Just one question. Wouldn't Desperado and From Dusk Til Dawn be considered "Robert Rodriguez" movies? He was the one that directed them, but then again Quentin did star in them. So I guess we're both right.
Caught this on AMC. The first part was decent and seemed to be headed places. Once they got to the bar it quickly turned into somewhat of a mess. I had to laugh at the vampires because they reminded me of a cross between the bad guy in The Mask after he puts on the mask, and something you'd see on the Disney Channel. Ok it was bad makeup. Pretty silly really but maybe that's what they were shooting for. Didn't really flip my switches. Just seemed mostly goofy. Clooney was very cool though.
@dudeegg274 No pretty much the whole thing. Even that vibrating stake gun that Clooney had was totally laughable. And the holy water condems and squirt gun, oh boy. I guess that's what they were going for but I couldn't figure out if they were going for laughs or what. It certainly wasn't scary at all. The gore was totally over the top and the body part instruments was just stupid. Like I said, it didn't really do it for me. I can see why AMC only gave it 2 stars.

And about the Tom Savini thing he is a makeup artist and he did the makeup and costumes and shit for this movie not to mention playing the badass SexMachine.

Anyway, I love how one minute it's a hiest movie and then BAM! The shit just hits the fan and it's vampires.
This is one of my favorite movies. As far as George Clooney goes.....please don't blame him for the overall suckiness of that Batman movie. The whole thing seriously stunk. George Clooney hardly had anything to work with in that crappy film. I will, however, agree that his part in From Dusk til Dawn was completely awesome and is my favorite.

ok when i watched this movie i didnt know what to think.. for the one part i loved it i didnt know why but it had this awesome vibe in it but when i sat down and thought about it a bit after watching it, it also kinda felt like a parody movie making fun of all the shitty vampire/zombie movies out there and that made me love it even more :D but i dont know maybe thats just me....:p

This is one of my favorite movies. As far as George Clooney goes.....please don't blame him for the overall suckiness of that Batman movie. The whole thing seriously stunk. George Clooney hardly had anything to work with in that crappy film. I will, however, agree that his part in From Dusk til Dawn was completely awesome and is my favorite.
