  • Good video dude...I'm still on Pro Tools 6.4 because it works for what I do and if it ain't broke I'm not upgrading...at least until now that I'm planning on getting the Maschine. Which version of Pro Tools do you recommend if I'm on Mac OS 10.6.8? Should I get the most recent PT 9 or get an older version that will work better with my current OS? I'm not ready to buy a new computer, but I also don't want to buy PT 9 and Maschine if they won't work properly on with my current OS.

  • @still20dollas You can always check the AVID or NI website for what will work the best with your OS. We are up to ProTools 10 and1.7 in Maschine now but 8/9 are good and now that avid supports just about any audio interface alot more people will be reaping the benefits of studio indusrty standards. Plus the newer versions of protools you dont have to have your audio interface turned on for it to work , but if you want better workflows I would sugggest upgrading it only gets better

  • my doing exactly what you're doing and my midi is not exporting...

  • @illwilkm82 Do you have the pattern drag mode set to midi? If not make sure that you do or you will not be able to drag it fam.

  • @TheApostolicAnointng its sounds to me you want to drag and drop Audio as seperate tracks? Just Mute anything you dont want on an individual track. For example if you just wants sounds from group (a) Mute all other groups. ok now go back to Group (a) Mute all other sounds (pads) example sounds (pads) 2 - 16 , drag sound (pad)1. Move on to Sound (pad) 2 unmute it but now mute sound (pad) 1. Repeat for sounds needed. When you goto other groups mute the groups you did already, Hope that helps

  • SO YOUR TELLING ME I CAN MAKE MY BEATS WITH MASCHINE IN PROTOOLS AND DO YOU KNOW HOW I CAN USE MY SOUND LIBRARY AS A PLUGIN

  • @sixeyesmusic Correct. You can load your sounds in Maschine as you would normaly and just drag and drop the Audio, Midi or both into ProTools is one way. Another way is to route each channel seperate ( I have a video on this as well ).
