Once this is achieved use long distance missles to take out anti-air positions and finally proceed to bombing.

@voltoz911420 That's because India paid more than just the ship and whatever refitting expenses - India paid for Russia to set up the shipyard to set up the capacities for such work as well.
Back in the day of Soviet Union, such shipbuilding works are assigned to Ukraine, while design bureaus are in Russia. The collapse of USSR also result the bureaus gone defunct.

As a matter of fact they are little more than a glorified police force. All the Chinese physical training dies count for shit when it is bit combined with discipline. @panzerelite195 none functional. most of the hi altitude uniforms didn't work anymore. as for the guns, 5 years, no maintainance, you do the maths. so, yeah you won, you won against a military who was ill equipped. all Nehru wanted was peace but the chinks saw this as a opportunity to attack. in a 1 on 1 fight with the chinese will loose because 1. one chinese regiment trains for one region thats it. 2. chinese army relies on horde tactics. 3. chinese do not have a warrior culture.

@panzerelite195 india on the other hand 1. regiments train in every type of terrain and environment, we have all kinds of climates here so soldiers are very well rounded. 2. indians are experts amongst others, in guerella warfare and endurance. they fight large numbers and wear them down over time. 3. we have always had a warrior caste. we have been invaded more times than any place and we've kept most of them out. ie. the greeks, mongal hordes, persians, etc.

@jatkshatriya The cost of running gas turnine engines over a period of 10 years, with increasing gas costs makes it an ineffective propulsion system for dealing with global movements. (Which is very much the case with modern day UN peacekeeping, relief and aid operations). Additinally gas turbines require a constant resupply of fuel which limits the autonomy of the aircraft carrier.
As for Mig-29s their lack of radar stealth makes them easy targets for cheap ground-air missles.

@jatkshatriya AOA is an obsolete concept, there is no such thing as aerial dogfights these days, what matters is autonomy, weaponry and speed. It is impossible to outmanuever a missle and because of the cost of aircraft it would be uneffective to employ them for mere air supression: let the enemy aircraft come in and shower them with missles, that is the current air supremacy tactic. Once this is achieved use long distance missles to take out anti-air positions and finally proceed to bombing.

@SirGlennGould i beg to differ sir,,,,AoA is still very much in....indias major threats are China and Pakistan ..both do not yet wield a stealth aircraft and the situation will be the same for the coming two decades most probably...if AoA were obsolete thrust vectoring would not have any place in aircrafts for super manuverability....many BVR missiles can be dodged by Su-30MKI and other super manuverable aircrafts if u turn steeply in the missile while discharging aluminium shards or flairs

We give aid to pakistan to combat the taliban (which they are doing tremendously well) not to feed their poor.
It's hard to feel like we should give aid to india when its spending its money not to feed its poor but to buy an aircraft carrier which they're never gonna use on combat.
