Joey Matthews was Mercurys name after he left the WWE. He worked in All American Wrestling, Ring Of Honor and Ohio Valley Wrestling before quitting wrestling and becoming a trainer for OVW. He then completely retired from the sport. Wanna take the fuckin dumbass comment back? Asshole.

The ladder match injury only played a hand in why he retired numbnuts, he's retired because of the ten years he spent in the business banging up his body, to avoid the temptation of being caught by his old demons he left the business so he didn't reach the point where he needed painkillers or other drugs to deal with the pain.
