  • Annoying

  • Wipes and toners shouldn't contain alcohol because that ages skin. I've learnt this from beauty school.

  • Acne scars an individual a lot more on the emotional rather than the physical side. That is why folks are looking for natural acne cures. Did you know just by drinking water, old skin will be replaced by new skin faster, thus curing acne faster? I want to share a lot more knowledge but youtube wont let me put the link here, so I put it on my profile.

  • Extract!!! Extract Extract!!!

  • Does the cleanser have artificial fragrance? Do you still use these?

  • I swear, this song ONLY exists on your videos, I can't find it anywhere else. Ugh.

  • Um, I'm sure you've gotten this question before and I don't mean to be a bother but could you recommend some good moisturizers? The one I use now is part of a 3 step sort of face wash system and it just makes my face a bit greasy really.

I also wondered if you knew any other places that might carry Imagem Cleanser because I'd like to try it but I couldn't find it on the website you put in the link.

  • why not just wash the hair - followed by cream/moisurizer?

  • you look so pretty in this video. Tutorial for this look please!

  • your eyes are so pretty!! :)) but i think you should grow your eyebrows thicker coz i really like thick eyebrows but other than that, your eyes, so pretty!! :))

  • best eye makeup remover is by mary kay.....not oil base but it works better then anything else I've used

  • this vid is from last yr can u do a current skin care routine vid thanks

  • Hey I bumped into you on july 23rd at the Bay store in downtown vancouver and gave you props for your videos, you mentioned in this one that you find most makeup wipes leave a residue and wanted to suggest a brand to try that doesn't leave that sticky feeling, I work for Proactive and we sell makeup cloths that are alcohol free and contain lavender their great I love them, and they remove really pigmented makeup without having to scrub just wipe gently! I hope if you do try it that you like it!

  • i realy do love your vids, you always have a good mix of new make up ideas. i also love that you have skin care vids. ur beautiful:)

  • for the aspirin mask: grind up your aspirin in a coffee or spice grinder for smaller granules...

  • And, you should always use a good cleanser, a good toner and exfoliate your skin, the smaller the beads the better, large beads tears your skin on the cellular level allowing damage to build up on surface.

A good moisturizer with anti aging agents, and a UVA/UVB protection at least SPF 30.

Other wise, regardless of your great make up skills, your skill will always be dull and unable to really use the make up you buy.

  • @Adakizinazo So are YOU going to make a video with your "wise" advice instead of piggybacking on someone else's?

  • You should always use lukewarm water when washing face. Cold and Hot water is not good for skin. Chlorine in tap water is an oxidative agent (that's how it kills bacteria) and may cause some skin damage. The hotter the water, the greater the damage because the rate of chemical reactions increases with temperature. Limit baths and showers to once a day or less and don't soak for too long. Make it warm, not hot.

  • .. and?

  • Have you tried purity made simple by philosopy? I find it works AMAZING, it's a makeup remover, toner, and facial cleanser all in one. I know it is the best selling cleanser in Sephora and Nordstrom. It's also the best selling brand on QVC. Most skin types can use it and it dousnt burn your eyes either which I have had a problem with other makeup removers because I wear so much eye makeup. I really think you would like it. I also love what your doing. Your very talented.

  • really??? i was going to get that, but i wasn't sure, so thnx :)

  • What a brilliant idea adding the exfoliator to your face wash .... that makes so much sense ... im going to look for that

  • you are so pretty.

  • Thanks!

  • I always thought I had really oily skin, which is why I broke out so much... but then I learned that I was breaking out because my skin was too dry, and producing too much oil to make up for the dryness. I started using CeraVe which you can find at drugstores and Wal-Mart. It's more like a lotion, which was hard to get used to... the lack of lather... but my skin has been SO much better! I also use the CeraVe cream, too, before putting on makeup for even texture!

  • 31,601th viewer! yay!

  • Please make more videos using drugstore makeups. Thanks!

  • I use Cetaphil facial cleanser, and recently switched to it's liquid generic, Equate, at the local Wal-Mart. I can't tell a difference. I use Eucerin face lotion with spf 30. It's great when you're on a budget. I'm almost forty and get compliments on my skin. Thanks for the aspirin video. I've been doing that for a little while now. It's cheap and I love the results!

  • REQUEST!! could you do something about helping large poured skin. like how to cover it up or help them shrink that would be awesome!! lol

  • andallya925 just rub an ice cube on your pours before you do your makeup and all that good stuff. it'll make them look smaller. =]

  • ooo REQUEST! coudl u do one about sunburn , how to cover it up / treat it? im having issues lol

  • I love Pond's makeup remover, it's really creamy & doesn't dry your skin out. Also Mary Kay makes a pretty good one.

Both are also good for taking off eye makeup while wearing contacts, they don't irritate your eyes.

  • LOVE this video! Very helpful. Thanks!

(search Elzie Bibbs & check him out! let me know what you all think! thanks!)

  • i use the clinique acne control system...it did help a little bit but my acne somewhat came back. when i do get acne it's usually little bumps or whiteheads..all over my face. it's absolutely disgusting someone please help!

  • I make sure to exfoliate at least one time a week. I also switch on an off between Clinique Acne Solutions system and the Dr. Wexler Acne system. I also am a fan of face masks like a tea tree face mask. Maybe that will help???? I also like my Paula Dorf face primer because it has a little bit of salicylic acid in it to help with acne during the day, it also makes foundation stay longer, and look nicer.

  • I'd love to try that exfoliator! Looks great!

  • Hi Julia, you are so right about cleansing, there is nothing worse than going to bed in your make up!! If you like totally antural products check out the range from Liz Earle. I've been using this a couple of years now and I wouldn't use anything else. Totally fab xx

  • This comment has absolutely nothing to do w/ makeup removal, but since this is your most recent video, I thought the chances of you answering my question would be higher.Eyeliner... What brand/sort do you use? I have very moist eyes that are easily irritated and work where I am constantly near heat and I sweat a bit. I like to wear my eyeliner (black) on my waterline, and it is constantly running or otherwise messing up (regardless of if I'm at work or not).

  • (I apologize, I went over the character limit!) I don't have the money to buy the expensive eyeliner and have been wondering if that may be a part of the issue. Is there any way you could do a video on eyeliner? (I am terrible w/ liquid eyeliner and prefer not to use it)

  • hi solitare142, try using a cotton swab (qtip) to gently 'dry' your waterline prior to lining it, and then use a slanted liner brush to put some same colored eyeshadow to set. i've done this with the rimmel soft kohl eyeliner and have had success

  • Thanks! I'll try it out and hopefully it'll work for me :D

  • Thanks for this video. It's so important to take good care of your skin now and it is obvious that you do, your skin looks very clear and healthy.

  • i've heard that people with dry skin shouldn't wash their face too much because it takes away the oils or something

  • If you ever do a video on acne or even another skin care one a company I find amazing is beauty control. It's a company kind of like avon because it's not sold in stores but you can find someone who sells it and I think there is a website.

The company also sells make-up and bath products, I love all of them. I personally use their all clear system and I went from horrible acne( horrible) to perfectly clear skin.

Look it up if you are interested.

    =]

  • can you make a video about finding your eyebrow shape and shaping them by tweezing?

  • where can you purchase Imagin

  • i did use st Ives apricot scrub but it was making my face dry so now i switch back and forth between acne free and nuetrogena oil free face wash

  • sorry i didnt read therinfo bar

  • thanks for the vid helped lots.. what lip and cheek color did you use it looks great on you

  • You didnt mention anything about a moisturizer...

  • beautiful makeup in this video!

  • I Know it Sounds Gross, But I Don't Normally Wash My Face At Night And Don't Take My Make Up Off. I'm 13 And Have Really Good Skin No Acne But I Decided I Wanted To Feel "Clean".

What Do You Thoind About "Got 2b In Your Face"? Here's A Discripton On The Front Of The Bottle; In The Clear, Medi Scrub, 2%$ Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment

Citrus Blend Vitamin E Witch Hazel.

  • This look is absolutely gorgeous! can you please do a tutorial on it?

Like im seriously in love with it :)

    thank you! x

  • Before I go to bed I use cosmetic wipes to take off my makeup before I wash my face with St Ives Apricot Scrub. I think It's much easier to get all the makeup off that way.

Then I mix a few drops of Tea Tree Oil to my Nivea moisturizer and apply to help with blemishes. :)

  • my boy friend and i use a similar tech for skin care we take a simple face wash by equate "acne wash" and we mix it with sugar it works and its cheap =D works amazing too

  • Oh wow, which countries dont have aspirin? =/

  • Yeah I know, that's what I thought! But some people told me they can't buy it? Maybe it's with prescription only...

  • @MissChievous I never seen it. I live in Denmark we use Panodil do you know that?

  • everyday when i wash my face i add a little bit of baking soda and mix it with the facial gel..is it bad for my skin if i use everyday a tiny amount of baking soda?? the facial gel i use is nivea, gel de curatare say on front, its cheap but it does its job i think. i saw at supermarket garnier essentials facial gel..i wanna try that, the toner smells nice

  • Have you been using a lash accelerator? Your lashes just seem so much longer lately! Really fluttery and pretty :)

Skincare-wise, I only use thermal-water based brands. Avéne has turned my skin completely around I love their products, they are inexpensive, a little goes a long way and they're excellent! But I chose La Roche Posay for sunscreen, the one for oily skin is the bomb!

  • your eyelashes are wonderful :)

  • i thought they are fake?!

  • that nail color you are wearing is really pretty...and thanks for sharing about the exfoliant

  • I use Jurlique or Dr. Hauschka....as close to all natural ingrediants as possible...really excellent for sensitive skin..

expensive but last a long time...

  • I have a super strict skincare routine because I am on so much medication for my acne.

I just use neutrogena wipes to remove my makeup, then cleanse with my facial scrub.

  • Heh, same here. I am very ritualistic about cleaning my face every single day, in a precise way. I do all of it in addition to acne medication, and if I forget any of it, my skin breaks out like crazy.

  • Supposively baby whipes and baby oil cause you to get milia.

  • you look radiant!

  • Im using baby oil, Nivea Young Wash Off and the Bodo Shop Face-Cleanser....

    It's good!

  • i like aveeno positively radiant clenser and face cream i love it cuz it doesnt irritate my eyez :) n i have a scrub from body workz made from tea tree or something i dont remember rite now :p and

  • I tried taht cleanser. I didn't like the perfume scent.

  • sodium layurel sulfate is in cetaphil and it is not foaming is it bad for my skin? should i stop using that?

  • You remind me og Megan Fox in this video. Thats a good thing by the way.

  • I swear by Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser. It doesnt foam either. And I remove my make up with Pond's Cold Cream-my grandmother's standby. haha.

  • I LOVE your makeup today! What other makeup products are you using? I know the lip colors are listed in the side, but what blush and eyeshadow are you wearing?

  • Hurray for SLS free products!! Engine degreaser is not good for the skin!

  • 40 dollars for a cleanser? Isn't it too much

  • i use clearisal. i have the same skin as you. its frikken MAJIC!

  • I love your makeup :D

    Awesome video.

  • you have beautiful skin :)

  • a great way you can get rid of the residue from the face wipes is to follow up with a toner which deep cleans even further and balances the ph levels on your skin :)

  • r you from germany?

  • Sweden.

  • u r so right abt not cleasing at night and then later in the morning!

i did tat for a week and i looked my skin wasn't feeling healthy (good) ...dried out and all

i use cleanser every other day

    <3

  • Thank you. This was very informative.

  • I agree about the baby wipe thing... its been said that using baby wipes are bad for your skin ... it leaves it dry .

  • Great...you look like a beautiful baby doll!!!

  • I use wipes to take of the make-up but then i wash my face with a propror gel ...

  • Thank you so, so much for making this video! I always had some problems with removing my make-up properly, but now I know which products I could use... thank you! Also I believe skin care is very very improtant so it would be more than great if you´d make more videos about this... you´re awesome!

  • I find baby wipes really good for removing makeup. It takes off mascara too, and doesn't leave a sticky residue on your face. Then I apply moisturiser after.

    x

  • yeah I feel the same when I use the wipes I still feel dirty in a way but i could never understand what it was

    thnks helped me alot!

    xx

  • Thank you so much for that! Love that you put such great info in the sidebar. It really helps out a lot.

  • hat sie schon gemacht

  • i seriously love ur accent..

    hehe.. u soo pretty

    thanks for sharing:)

  • i recently brought a clarisonic ($170 ebay) and LOVE it. im using the cleansers that came w/ the package but i am not sure what kind of cleanser i'll buy afterwards.

  • i was wondering,.you seem to have a little bit of an accent. if you do, what is it?

  • German.

  • Country: Switzerland

  • your makeup looks really pretty! pinks and peaches suit you.

  • can you tell me a remedy for pimples?

  • Cetaphil's Gentle Cleanser is great if ppl HAVE to cleanse in the morning yet dont want to overdry their skin:) That one doesnt foam either.

  • Very well done and informative! Thanx.5 stars

  • That's what i use as well... love the coconut oil

  • can you give full details about your method please :)

  • Hey Aloshabellydancer!what kind of vinegar and what is the vinegar:water ration that you use for cleansing? n which brand of coconut oil do use? thnx in advance.

  • What type of moisturizer do you recommend

  • What kind of vinegar do you use, and what is the vinegar to water ratio? I'm really curious about this method. :)

  • I use baby oil to get rid of water proof eye makeup. :)

    It works well.

  • i've heard that baby oil can clog pores in the eye area & lead to styes.....i used to work for an ophthalmologist & he recommended against oil near the eye area....

  • yuna: tried extra virgin olive oil?

  • I simply use makeup wipes (not baby wipes, those are the worst to use on sensitive skin) and wash my face afterwords. Daily, I usually just wash my face in the morning and before bed. No cleanser, no toner, just warm water.

  • i love your make up in this tut :)

  • i heard coconut oil clogs your pores though, at least for people with large pores. if you use it, you should make sure to wash your face REALLY thoroughly afterwards.

extra virgin olive oil works really well too.

  • adorable blush....which is it? thanks

  • thank you!!!!

  • I use wipes to take the makeup off of my face and then I use my cleanser to wash my face.

  • Oh that make up remover looks good. But I use Beautymaker make up remover. It works pretty good. I'll give this a try too~

  • i sometimes use wipes and since they usually do leave residue i rinse my face with luke warm water:] but i use olay makeup/face cleansing wipes

  • this is a rlly good and informative video :)

  • hey you guys...i've been using this cleanser from johnson & johnson for about 6 months or more its called Purpose cleanser..its non-comedogenic & hypoallergenic..it won't clog your pores or irritate your skin..and it is AMAZING!! it takes off all my make up...i cleanse once to take off my makeup, then another to cleanse my actual skin. you guys should totally get it!!

  • is ur tounge pierced ??

    jus asking .

  • Thank you for the advise!!

  • HI, Yes it is better not to use the wipes! Also much better for mother earth!

  • love your makeup in this vid. what is the blush and lippie?

  • I love adding my at home remedy of baking soda to my cleanser. Try it. It's probably a cheaper alternative to the walnut shell talc.

  • Do you have your tounge pierced ?

  • THANK YOU <3

  • thank you. you do have very nice skin.

  • You look soo beautiful julia . You are the bestt. thank you for this. :)

  • skincare for acne please?

  • vendentta- I've always had problems with acne.. and I use face washes and stuff-but i have been using Honey lately.. it really works. Just all natural 100 percent honey.. I just wash my face..get a clean concelear brush and dab it in the honey..apply it to my acne that i have, let it sit for 15 minutes and then wash it off.. i do it every day and i got amazing results... it sounds weird, but it worked for me :)

  • wow thank you for sharing your tip ;-)

  • Do you have any suggestions as to how not to sweat my moisturizer off? I live in NC USA and it's so hot here that I can't help but sweat it off as well as my makeup.

  • hmm I have the same problem

  • The way I usually take of my makeup is by first using a wipe to remove the top layer of my makeup and then I wash my face with a cleanser and lastly use a toner to completly clean my face other wise I'll break out b/c your face let's oils out during the night and with makeup residue, all of that accumulates into your pores causing breakouts. It's best to either follow this routine or just clean and remove your makeup with a cleanser. It really does make a difference on your skin!

  • thank you for this video, have you tried any aha or bha cleansers? what would you recommend or have you tried that worked well for your skin type?

the lipstick shade you have on is fantastic! ^__^

  • I have not used anything other exfoliator since I started using the Aspirin mask. I use it weekly and am amazed at the difference in my skin. That video has been my favorite thus far. Plus, it's super cheap! I just keep the bottle in the shower! Thank you, Julia!

  • i use q-tips with clear eyes, eye ball cleaner stuff or contact cleaner to remove my eye liner and stuff thats waterproof then cleanse or what ever.

  • that's an interesting method... i've never heard that before!

  • I love your lipstick what were you wearing?

  • Sidebar is your friend.

"NYX Georgia with MAC Underaged lipglass on top"

  • Hi! Miss Julia! Thanks for sharing!!!

  • With your expertise, perhaps you could make those hands-on videos you're looking for rather than making rude comments on videos others find helpful. :-)

  • So don't watch and stop whining. Simple as.

  • hey i happen to love your videos. I wasnt trying to be rude. I do apologize I love the tutorials. I also appreciate the info I guess I was expecting an example of what your routie was rather than just explaining it. I apologize if it came across as rude.

  • Purity is the best cleanser..

  • it's my very favorite too

  • I LOVE your lips in this video!

  • poop more... its good for your body and skin =) removes bacteria from ur body hahaha my dad told me that XD

  • I'm so glad you made a video about this. I was just wondering how to remove make up around my eyes. Which oil base brand do you use? everytime I clean my eyes it gets sore and red where you would draw the eyelash wing. I don't wear much make up as much because of how sore my eyes get from trying to take it off, no matter how gentle am.

  • Sorry to answer your question, I know it was meant for Julia. There is this clinique make up remover called "take the day away" the balm version. Is a balm you put in your eyes that gently turns into oil but is not oily, then you take it off with water. Is very gentle. It doesn´t leave the skin oily, it leaves very frehs. Hope that helps!

  • thanks, this does help a lot. I'm going to buy it this afternoon.

  • you´re welcome! let me know how it works for you!

  • I wouldn't call having some black heads as having bad skin.

  • well its acne so its now clear skin :P

  • where do you see blackheads?

you know, over washing your skin can make you break out, and make your skin produce extra oil.

  • Haha ok whatever, I don't have blackheads at all. Overwashing your skin can cause dryness especially if you're prone to dry skin.

  • can u do a makeup tutorials on the makeup your wearing in this video?

  • that exfoliater reminds me of the st Ives apricot scrub..

and thanks for makeing this vid :)

  • that shit is amazing

  • I use mac makeup wipes to actualy remove my makeup and then i clenze and tone ect.. but if you just wash your face with face wash it dose not remove all the makeup.
