The Transformers was made between 1984 and 1987 written and voice work was done in the USA, animation in JP, like allot of USA shows, Japan then made a long list of 9 shows in Japan, Canada made two, and now the USA has made two more. Marvel comics had a hand in creating the franchise.

If remember correctly, I was usually dragged off to one of my sisters t-games on a Saturday morning. Such sacralige! I wanted to stay home and watch cartoons like TF, Voltron, and Starblazers and afterward go play with my friends and discuss such topics. But instead....sis's t-ball games, I missed much. (-_-)

oh i had to go to my grandparents once, i asked them if i could watch TF but....they didn't have the channel! GRRR!!

@henkman00 Lemme guess, grand folks TV only had three channels, two of which were religious and the other a PBS station with nothing but news reports from lesser know countries. Yeah, been to those houses as a kid, nothing worse then that when TF is on and you can't watch it!

there are rumors that paramount home entertainment will licence the Japanese Dubbed version of the G1 cartoon and sub it in english using original episode scripts to cash in the success of the Transformers revenge of the fallen movie.
